The prices and selection here are excellent. One of the best liquor stores I've been to and you can't beat their prices. They often offer exceptional wines that they've gotten a deal on and pass that savings on to customers. I also find that there is always someone in the store who KNOWS about wine. I don't like spending a lot of $ on everyday wine, but I like something tasty in a lower price range. I've never been steered wrong by anyone here and have found a number of wines I wouldn't have tried on my own and been really pleased. After spending thousands of dollars in a few months here on wine, I was just embarrassed by the manager after returning a faulty bottle. Manager seemed to be having a bad day, after repeating many times so customers could hear, that there was nothing wrong with the bottle, after only smelling the bottle. I asked him how he knew if he only smelled the wine and he said because he had been doing this for 20 years, in a very snobby manner. Really a shame after I loved coming here, loved the staff, the selection and had spent $3-4k total in the past 3 months on fine wines, scotch, liquor. Unfortunately will not return after being embarrassed for returning 1 bottle out of nearly 100 that I've bought just recently. Really hate leaving bad reviews, but this manager certainly needs to be addressed for his behavior. I will be reaching out this week to file a formal complaint. read more

It is family owned and the sons are always willing to help you with anything you need, up to and including ordering a specific wine you are looking for, helping with recommendations for certain wines that will be great for gifts, etc. They also have a vast selection of craft beer, and cool glassware to go along with them. There is a section with specialty jams/spreads & gift baskets too, which are very convenient if you are looking for a nice way to present your "beverage of choice" as a gift. They have something that fits every type of person too, from a bucket of Coronas with Chips and Salsa, to Crackers and Jelly with a bottle of Skinny Girl Margarita or Flavored vodka. Why, why, why can there not be one of these where I live now?! The best prices and selection I've ever seen. OK maybe there are bigger liquor stores but seriously, amazing prices. Staff is great-- lots of them related to the owner, I believe--- returns are painless (3 case max though) and the usually-long line moves quickly. You will save at least $3 per bottle of wine compared to other stores and probably closer to $10 per bottle on higher-end hard liquor. If you need a hostess gift, they have super-adorable baskets put together in-house so you don't just have to shove a bottle in a gift bag, you can look like you made an effort! A typical price difference here is $10 for a California Cab or Zin that is easily $15 elsewhere and sometimes $17/$18 in your local rip-off liquor store. Rapid is awesome though, they have great prices on most everything. My only complaints are merely suggestions -- staying open until 11 and having more craft beer; that would be awesome. I email wine requests, they reply very quickly with prices (no-one prices wine and alcohol lower, and has such a good selection) and when I can pick it up. This is a great liquor store with some of the lowest prices around - always my first stop for routine beers and whiskeys. While the beer and wine selection is pretty strong overall, the liquor selection is a bit lacking compared to Redstone down the street. If you could somehow combine the cheap prices of Rapid Liquors with the huge selection and free tastings that Redstone offers, it would be a no-brainer 5 (and vice versa).
