Very rude. I made an appointment but was not seen because I had an outstanding balance. It was from 2022. I've been disputing this ever since. It was a mistake on their end. It was coded incorrectly, and I asked them to resubmit to insurance with the correct code. They ignored me. But I'm complaining about this particular office. I understood that they couldn't see me, but they didn't have to be so rude about it. The person actually closed the window on me. I didn't raise my voice or use any inappropriate language. The nurses here are so sweet and real lmfao. I had the worst day and felt so sick and they immediately put a smile on my face again. They are so so funny. They're also very thoughtful and really asked me all the questions to get me the best kind of care they could. We chatted about what was going on in my life and they checked on me throughout the visit to make sure I was still doing ok while my tests processed. One of the nurses even gave me a hug. Literally I adore the angels working here they make me feel better about being so sick lol. read more

Have you ever found yourself sick as a dog, but unable to get an appointment with your primary care physician? I found myself in such a situation recently and was very happy to discover Rapid Urgent Care. When I arrived there was no one else in the waiting room, and three staff waiting to check me in. There was the obligatory paperwork you have to fill out anytime you go to a new doctor, but it was relatively quick and painless, unlike my illness. Once my paperwork was complete I was almost immediately brought into a room. The nurse was friendly and thorough. Once the doctor arrived he did his best to diagnose me and explain all of my treatment options. The next day the doctor personally called to check up on me, which was a very nice touch. Unfortunately for me, I didn't get better and felt far worse the next day. I called Rapid and was able to speak to the on duty doctor. That's right, an actual doctor. That has never happened at my PCP. Again they weren't able to figure out my issue, but the service was so great that I will definitely be back for my next not quite emergency. Note: It looked like they can handle most minor to moderate issues. I believe they can even do X-Rays in house. Well, as it turns out regarding My saga of malpractice being practiced, Rapid Urgent Care refused my specialists request for my results for 1 1/2 weeks,, during which time it turns out I was positive, and could have infected several family members and older friends. I know they're going to deny everything, but I have evidence. I finally got the results from my doctor this morning. I wouldn't recommend this place as a Veterinary clinic, since I'm a dog lover. The wait time was quite short, only one person ahead of me. Gave the person my phone she actually needed help to input information into the computer! Another women , assume a nurse had to help her! She handed me my phone with the statement "Here is your fancy phone back!" Saw Dr. Gutgsell. He said I usually prescribe Macrobid. Of course I knew the drug had taken it several years ago , but I also know that doxycycline would solve my problem as it was a very low-grade UTI is just starting. So now the conversation went this way I might have my blood pressure might be a little high "Well then you need to go to do it you need to call your doctor and tell him ,What ludicrous statement! My Dr. is 1500 miles away do you think I'm going to start on a new drug without being able to be close?. I did not come down there for some unsolicited advice. I said I came here for some doxycycline, he threw up his hands and said OK I'll prescribe you some Docxycycline., imagine my surprise when I get to CVS and this prescription was changed back to Macrobid without even a phone call from them. I called them back oh no this guy is gone we can't do anything I did not want to take the Macrobid! Imagine my shock and surprise when I get to CVS and we've got Macrobid without a phone call without anything I would never go to this place again they're patronizing and think that you're stupid scratch you on the head give you a prescription when you tell them exactly what you want. Later on a couple days later a Dr. Gruezzhe called me and said you know why your prescription was changed don't you? It's because you take magnesium and there was a conflict I take magnesium twice a month the information was put into the computer incorrectly. Worst place ever. Took my 102 year old Mom there ( fromassisted living, during Covid) because in-house nurse said to get swollen/bruised leg checked. She dropped her iPad on it. They took vitals, and wrote down Pulse Oxygen level of 65, normal is 95-98. Dr came in, I said to take it again... he said No, take her to ER -she may have a clot that went to lung. ( I asked, could that have been her pulse rate? No....) Took her to ER, 4 hours later-ultrasound, xrays... and more exposed to Covid- she is fine, has a hematoma -got antibiotics! ErDoc said if her Pulse Ox was 65, she would probably be dead! Wasted half a day, she was miserable and more possible Covid exposure because some idiot wrote down her PULSE in the wrong spot in chart. What medical Dr would not recheck the Pulse Oxy level? Such a simple thing. She had nail polish in-could have used her ear lobe! read more

The service here was awful, the lady at the front desk was extremely nice but completely wrong about the billing, the nurse was extremely unconcerned with how I was feeling, and the doctor, while nice, took forever and could be overheard chatting it up in the hallway while I waited for nearly two hours to only be told there wasn't much to be done. $150 charge later... Whoa, hold up don't go here! Let me tell you my story, I went to them for a Covid test on Sept 26, thankflully it was negative. The whole experience was positive. No co-pay, they said insurance is paying for all of it. This is what I was told over the phone before the visit and at the actual visit. Painless 15 min visit. Surprised there was no one at all in the clinic waiting room. Red flag No.1. Well 2 months later I had been exposed again, so I went back on November 10 for a rapid test. But, hold the phone now I have to pay a $50 co-pay. The lady tells me that the free test were being abused and people were coming every week for unnecessary repeat tests. So I pay the $50. Red Flag No.2. Negative again. About a week later I get a bill from them for $50. This is for the original visit. As I scan the bill it breaks down the charges. The first visit they charged $230 and no co-pay. The second visit they charged $255 with a $50 co-pay. Red Flag No.3. I call and explain to them what I was told and they give me a completely different response. They did not know that the insurance carrier was paying for the whole visit, but they were wrong and pretty much said tough luck, you owe us a $50 co-payment for the first visit. So it's bait and switch at this place. My buddy with the same insurance took his family of 5 to the In and Out Clinic for Covid tests just before Thanksgiving and was not charged a deductible for any of them. This would be like going to Keith Young's for a steak and getting a bill a week later for $50 saying we made a mistake. We miss-priced the steak you had and realized it was a much higher cost, you owe us $50. I guess this is why the waiting room is empty, they do this to everyone. Go somewhere else. read more

Since we moved here three years ago, every member of my family has been seen multiple times at Rapid Urgent Care. We have had stitches, x-rays, bronchitis, and everything in between. They are the best. The location is super convenient just off the causeway. Usually it only takes about ten minutes or less to get in to a doctor. The staff and physicians are attentive, personable, and just wonderful. If you need to be seen for a follow-up, it is totally free within one week of the first appointment. It is a huge comfort that they are always there for my accident-prone family. I love this place! read more

Not impressed. I went to this place a couple weeks ago with multiple spider bites. Nothing life threatening but I figured I would be in and out in a flash. I was wrong. I got there before they opened which is 8 a.m.. I go in and was greeted by the girl at the front desk. She was nice. I had about 10 pages of paperwork to fill out which I always dread. I was the only one there so I got in fast after turning in my papers. I saw the nurse first and he was very friendly. Took my blood pressure. So far so good. I go in to see the doctor. I'm sitting there 15 minutes or so when I learn he was stuck in traffic. 30 minutes go by, 45 minutes and finally after sitting there over an hour the doctor arrived. I don't know if they only have one doctor working here or what. During my wait the nurse did keep me updated and even brought me a coke. He was great. The last time he popped in he informed me that they would be refunding me $36 of my bill. It was $111.50 just to see the doctor. Of course I knew I would never see the credit and sure enough I did not. They never refunded me anything. Not the nurses fault. The girl up front just never took care of it. Now I realize things happen. People get stuck in traffic, but if you say you're going to do something then you should do it. So much for rapid urgent care. read more

I went there because I couldn't get in to see my family doctor and I was pretty sick at the time. The nurses and the woman in reception were very nice, professional and seemed to really care. Then the doctor came in to the room with an big chip on his shoulder. He talked to me as if I was stupid and did a short exam. He stood up and was walking out the door without giving me a diagnosis or telling me what was wrong, I had to ask him. All in all his visit in my room lasted maybe 5 minutes. If you have children, DO NOT GO HERE. We have been there a few times since it opened approx 6+ months ago. The first couple of times were ok but the wait with each visit increased. With our most recent visit, not only did it take over an hour and a half to get in and out with a small child but we were given the wrong discharge info and prescribed the wrong meds due to the "physician" not recognizing that my child had one of the most common childhood illnesses. When I called concerned about these issues, no one would call me back in a timely fashion and when I asked to speak to a physician, again no one returned my call. To top it off, the medical record was not completely documented, causing my questions not to be properly answered when I did finally reach someone after multiple tries. Oh and I forgot to mention one of the best parts... the "physician" who saw my child did not take more than 1 minute to step NEAR him to look at the issues. I mentioned areas he need to see that concerned and he didn't even bother to examine them. Hence, being one of the reasons that it did not get documented. My advice - don't go here...try the new urgent care that just opened on 190 next to J Banks men's clothing/Bra Genie, etc. Unfortunately, I wasted $125 on this visit and improper meds and lots of time but the good thing is that our wonderful pediatrician properly examined our child on Monday and he is doing so much better. read more

Useless. Went here for itchy eyes that were not responding to home/OTC remedies. Charged $111 for office visit and then the receptionist considered adding an additional charge for the eye drops used during the exam. Left with prescription for eye drops....which cost $175!!! Dr had no other suggestions for itchy eyes other than look for a coupon or take Allegra. Ridiculous. Could have done better job myself using Google. Never again. I came into rapid urgent care in fear I contracted flu and possible pneumonia. I was greeted by two lovely young ladies Molly and Jessica. They handed me paperwork to fill out and thankfully took my insurance. After I finished my paper work I was immediately called back in a little room to obtain my vitals. As sick as I was I was treated with exceptional care. I was then moved to another room to be seen by the doctor. He was very thorough and was reassuring he was going to get me feeling myself again. He ordered an X-ray on me (which I didn't know they do in house)! The X-ray tech was one of the girls from up front who treated me with above and beyond care, very sincere and cared about how I was feeling. I got a prescription and was sent on my way to feeling better. Only thing I would say is the paperwork takes the most time of your visit other than that I will be back again and even bring my spouse and children to rapid urgent care in mandeville! read more

We have been to Rapid Urgent Care before. Care wise it was just okay. The major problem is that they refuse to write you a doctor's note for any days before you come in. For example, if you are sick on Monday, but go in on Tuesday, then they will not give you a note for Monday. This creates major problems with school or work. Other urgent care facilities or doctors in the area would give you a note for Monday, but not this place. For that reason, to save yourself problems with your boss or with the schools over absences, skip Rapid Urgent Care 1111 N. Causeway Blvd and keep on driving to a different facility. You will regret dealing with them if you need the excused absence. read more

Went here for a second degree burn on my arm. I had reservations since I had gone two weeks prior for strep throat and, like others have posted, the doctor didn't lay a hand on me or even look at my throat. But, it was a burn and it was close to my house so, I rolled the dice this experience would be better. It was not. I paid a $60 co-pay for the guy to poke my wrist with an ink pen repeatedly, imply it was an infection, then offer me pain medication (hello, opiod epidemic). I brought in my 3 year old son and was far from impressed. The receptionist was cold and barely looked me in the eye. This doesn't matter much; friendliness is not the most important thing in medical care. First of all, the nurse who tried to take his blood pressure used the machine to do so and it kept messing up and squeezing my son's arm over and over. Finally, I asked if she could do it by hand. She seemed very reluctant but once she did, it took about two seconds. Next, while the doctor was able to engage my son to talk about the cars he was playing with, he didn't lay a hand on my son the entire time. No real exam, and seemed uncomfortable with kids. He was pretty unhelpful and had very little to say or suggest, other than to see our pediatrician. I even had to correct him about a medication that he thought was over the counter but I knew wasn't. Then, they sent us home with instructions (nothing written though-- no discharge instructions were printed for us) to give my son a dose of medication that was about half of what he was supposed to get. Luckily, I knew better and also luckily it wasn't *more* than he was supposed to get. All in all, the medical providers seemed fairly inept and unhelpful, especially with children. I went twice (5days apart) for same ailment. I had a sore throat with extreme tenderness in my neck. Neither time did either physician examine my neck. Neither one used a tongue depressor to look at my throat. The first eventually got one. The second time I went that doctor just kept contorting her body for a better look at my throat.
