Because we have been having snowy and rainy weather at this time of the year, I used the Abe feature to ask the bookstore owner to be especially careful wrapping the book, to avoid water damage. He wrote back promptly and said he would. The book arrived with lots of protection against moisture and lots of padding. The latter is important because modern books have very poor bindings generally. During D-Day, the Allies designed a system of rubber skirting to allow Sherman tanks to float and be launched out from the beach. The design had a mixed record with many tanks sinking or floundering. If the owner of Liberty Book Store was alive in 1944 and was asked to use his waterproofing talent on the tanks, more would have come ashore and the Allies would have been in Berlin before the Red Army. The online order invoice showed that the owner would ship via media mail. But the book came much sooner - - almost as fast a Priority Mail shipment! This was a very positive experience and I will contact this store first when I am seeking other books.

They said also are doing for Dia de Los Muertos next and all the other holidays coming up. They have a cute little reading area and table on the side with plush animals for kids to read and play. The store is a used bookstore perfectly located across the street from the college. It specializes in selling (and buying) textbooks for the college courses offered nearby. In addition to the textbooks, they carry non-fiction and fiction books (mystery, sci-fi, romance, etc.). The non-texts on the shelves are neatly arranged by category and alphabetically by author. In addition to books, they have some quick study guides, lab coats, and notebook binders, among other things that a student might find useful. Oh, and they even had a section of children's books, too. After browsing a bit through the titles just to make sure we hadn't missed anything, we left without buying anything. But we were glad we'd stopped in to see what they have so we'd know.

For example some courses the books are way more expensive if they are book version. But the class I was taking was only $10 difference between virtual and loose page version. The employees was very helpful and showed me where it was located. The line had 5 people infront me and took a long time getting checked out. Wished they had check out service or something else. But the employees are nice. Yes getting materials are expensive but spending money on bettering your life is sometimes needed. Overall a good experience.

The inventory is incredible, deep and varied in a way you rarely see anymore. And the gentleman who runs the store is something else: unbelievably knowledgeable, and he knew exactly where every single record was in the shop. He made the whole experience feel personal and easy. Their selection is great, they have a wide assortment of new vinyl and some great used vinyl as well. I picked up a used live Kansas double LP for $8, a very fair price. I also bought a special 2 LP edition of Nirvana Bleach with a 1990 concert, Operation Ivy - Energy and the Minor Threat LP. All prices were either at market or slightly below. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I also liked that they had a listening station where you could check out used stuff. Overall, a very solid five stars. I would absolutely come back here in the future.

I'm glad to see they moved into a larger location so it's not as crowded as it used to be and there's a much higher selection available. All the records were well organized and the prices seemed in line with what's available online perhaps a bit lower depending on what record you were looking for. They had a clean restroom in the back available to patrons of the store. Also the staff was very friendly and more than willing to help if we couldn't find something and even offered us some free stickers with our purchase! With being one of the only record stores in the area they are doing a great job!
