I found a crack in a roof drain pipe near the main sewer outlet to the street. Sealed the likely entrance, built trap boxes ( YouTube... ) and used various baits. Rats are extremely smart and fast. He'd get the food but not caught. After a a few weeks I gave in and searched for an exterinator. The reviews about Joe prompted me to get in touch. The reviews describe him perfectly ! He came the next day. We spent almost 2 hours going around the house inspecting for evidence of entry points, nests, activity as well as getting to know each other. He is truly a nice guy who knows his craft ! Joe seemed impressed by my approach. Thought, based on what he saw, that there might only be the one and didn't see any obvious additional enrty points. He suggested a few new baits and traps and we decided to stay in touch before moving to poison. He refused payment for his time and advice. He promptly replied to my status texts over the next few days. Nobody caught, no success... until I got him ! Sent Joe pictures. Recieved a congratulations reply ! Now going to keep monitoring for a few weeks, traps set. Maybe my problem is solved. Fingers crossed my visitor didn't have friends and family. I'll keep Joe posted knowing that if nesessary I can confidently reach out for his help. Thank you so much Joseph ! PS - Don't know why Yelp thinks I'm in San Francisco. I'm in Brooklyn !

They make you pre-pay and sign a contract with a license number that does not exist and then they either don't show up when they're supposed to or they don't show up at all. Last summer they were supposed to provide me 12 sprays and only showed up five times then refused to give me back my money now I find out their own licensed. I also have a judgment against them in the Suffolk County court that they have not paid.

They are nice people, but I just can't deal with the type of service I've received any longer. The initial sales experience was good, and I hired them due to their competitive pricing and positive reviews (although I noticed at least one of these reviews was written by a current employee). Overall, after a year and a half, the experience was inconsistent and I won't be renewing with this company again. I hesitated to post anything here out of fear of retaliation, but hopefully they will be professional and accept the feedback for what it is. MAIN CONCERNS: - I was once accidentally charged an additional $230 because "my name sounded very similar to another customer" (this is literally what I was told). I only discovered this extra change when reviewing my credit card bill a month later. When I asked them about this extra charge, it took about 2 weeks to resolve (with multiple follow-ups on my part). - Communication was not always there. There were many times they did not show up when they said they would. On a few occasions last year, weeks would go by without the scheduled visit, and I had to call them to get someone out. There were also a couple times they showed up earlier than expected (7:45am to be exact), ringing my doorbell to open the side gates. This was very annoying. - A year later, I received a voicemail from the company stating that they were having issues charging my credit card for the renewal this year, and to call them back. I have no idea to why they would assume I wanted to renew, but I'm glad that they ran into issues and that my card was not automatically charged. In my opinion, this is not the best way to do business. At the very least, you should reach out to the customer to see if they would like to renew. I leave 3 stars because their pricing was competitive and they did ultimately complete the work I paid for. However, it was not a pleasant experience overall.

    Update 4/16/2026: A&C responded to my complaint immediately. Within hours, they listened to the…read morerecorded phone call and spoke with the employee. They went above and beyond by sending a supervisor to our home the next morning to help us with our issue and they apologized as well. The resolve is more important than the conflict. We will be continuing with this company because they have excellent customer service. They're a family business and show through action that they truly care. I would recommend this company. Hi. I called to schedule a visit for ongoing ant problems I've had since I started with your company. I did not expect to be condescended (I mistakenly used the word poison and was told I'm not even using the 'correct terminology' so I don't know what I'm talking about), and accused of lying (after mentioning what we were told by employees about our ant situation possibly being in the wall, he said just because I say something doesn't make it true). I had mentioned to the representative I was upset and the way he was talking to me was an awful way to speak someone. This is not an acceptable way to treat a customer, let alone another human being.
