I work remotely for a company that had an 11k square foot building that required several cleanings in the final weeks as interior renovations were finishing. I also needed a company that was willing to assist unpacking boxes and helping with "house" set-up, putting items away in rooms, cabinets, drawers. In addition, we needed wash/dry/fold of a large quantity of new bed sheets, bath towels and making up of the beds. Lenora and Herschell were both so wonderful to work with - very personable, professional, punctual and flexible. Lenora is highly organized and and along with Herschell, take personal pride in the work their team performs. They took great care to be sure the facility looked perfect for a scheduled photo & video shot. Plus, the entire team managed this project so graciously while following COVID-19 procedures. Last month, my boyfriend hired Atlanta Eco Cleaners to clean one of his rental properties in Marietta to prepare it for new tenants. When he originally spoke to the owner, Amanda, they agreed to have the property cleaned on Thursday, December 17th, as he had tenants moving in on Sunday, December 20th. When they spoke, he was only told that a cleaning crew would come in that day. He gave her his credit card number, and Amanda said she'd call him with the exact time that they would be there. She never called and never emailed a receipt or a cancellation policy for her company. On the morning of December 17, my boyfriend's phone died. By 9:30am the phone was charged and he turned it on to see a text from Amanda asking for entry instructions into his property. He immediately called her back, explaining that he didn't know what time she was planning on coming to clean. He asked if she could reschedule for later that week. She said she was entirely booked that day, was going out of town that night and wouldn't be able to come back out. He asked her to call him if any times opened up and reiterated that he needed to have the property cleaned before the tenants moved in that weekend. He never heard back from her. The next night, he checked his bank account and realized he'd been charged the full amount for the cleaning: $229. He immediately texted Amanda and asked her why she took the money without performing any services. She responded by saying that the cancellation policy was listed on her website (note that you have to go under the a secondary page, at the very bottom to find it). Due to this happening right before the holidays, they didn't speak again for several weeks. When he finally got her on the phone, he asked again if she would reimburse the $229, and she told him that she would not reimburse the money. He then replied that he'd write negative reviews on her, because people needed to be warned about her unethical business practices. She responded saying she "had a very good attorney and would file a Slander lawsuit." Funny, if her "very good attorney " had taught her anything, she would know the difference between libel and slander and the situations under which each can be applied. This woman is a thief and I hope no one else has to go through an ordeal like this with her again.

My wife and I were leaving our 2000sqft apartment as we had just bought a house. On the positive side, I made a last minute reservation and even though the owner of Squeaky Green was on vacation, she said she'd make sure someone got there to take care of it in time. I appreciate this being done, but my problem was with the cleaning, not the owner (until the end). I was advised I would be called by the cleaners but never was. They were supposed to be at my apartment by 8AM but did not arrive until noon (while I was in the only meeting of the day at work). I was advised they would call when finished but after almost 6 hours, I never received a call. When I finally came back to the apartment at 6:30pm (after not being able to reach anyone), there was no one there and no telling how long they actually spent working or when they left. I waited another 40 minutes but no one showed up. I never even got to do an official final walkthrough which was needed because the house was still dirty. The house was only moderately cleaned. The carpet was still dirty in spots, toilet bowls were not cleaned thoroughly, baseboards don't really look like they were touched, one of the shelves in my refrigerator was broken and just placed on the inside without any notice (had to pay apartment owner for this when I left), and the stairs were still dirty. The house overall did not smell very clean either. Alot of other reviews mention this same thing and reason that it is because they use green products. I have used other green companies, and there has always been some sort of clean smell. Obviously, I called another cleaning company who came next day to reclean the house (and it was done properly). Unfortunately, that means I had to pay for two cleaning services. When I reached out to the owner about how unsatisfied I was, I was given a spiel about how she's a small business just trying to make it work. I sent her pictures of all the things that were still dirty about the place but she never really addressed but instead was told things like carpet cleaning was a separate service (what? I'm not asking it to be steam cleaned, just clean the carpet normally.) The other company had no problem getting the house recleaned to my satisfaction. When advised of this, the owner said that they were able to do it because they use harsh chemicals. That seems like you are admitting your company does a substandard job because you are trying to be green which should not be the case as my wife and I have used 2 other green companies in the past two years. Just as a note to others: their website does not reflect the actual payment structure. She advised that the estimator tool on her website is not a true reflection of what we will be charged. Instead it is simply $35 per cleaner per hour. She reasons that this will illustrate that additional tasks will increase the amount of time the maids have to clean which increases the price. Regardless, still misleading.. ESPECIALLY if you are not notified of when they left. Luckily, there was a concierge on the property who was able to give me the time they left. After our dispute, she sends me an venmo request for $210. I told her I would pay what I thought was fair which was $155 (which is generous) which she agreed to. Overall, EXTREMELY unpleased. I had to get another cleaning company to reclean the house after Squeaky Green's visit. When I told this to the owner, she said I should have just called them back to reclean. Why would I call you back when my experience with Squeaky Green Cleaning was so abysmal? 10/10 would not recommend and 10/10 would never use them again.
