Great service and honesty. Came to inspect quickly but it did take an extra day to receive our results.

I would strongly recommend avoiding this company. My insurance adjuster told me I did not need asbestos testing, but my contractor refused to begin work without it and connected me with Rarefied Air. That should have been the first red flag. When I spoke to Rarefied Air, I asked them if we needed to get preapproval from my insurance company, and they told me there was no need and they would take care of it. Now the job is done, insurance won't pay and I'm left with the bill. For me, it's the principle of the thing: If they tell me I don't need preapproval, they should be prepared to stand behind that. I took their word for it and it cost me. I'm giving two stars rather than one only because they did give me a 20% discount. I shouldn't have had to pay at all - and based on what my insurance company told me, I likely had my arm twisted into unnecessary testing. read more

Quick and professional. Found out that Home Depot requires a certificate of Clean for asbestos on linoleum floor replacement for houses built before 1992. Surprise! Called up Bruce at Rarefield and they were able to come, sample, take to their lab and provide results/certificate the next day. Quick, excellent and efficient. I run a property management company and Rarefied was able to schedule mold inspections right away with results the same day or a day later for a reasonable fee. They also provided very detailed reports including advice on how to treat the mold that was discovered. We got quotes from a couple of companies for asbestos testing at our house as it seems some parts containing asbestos was disturbed in our home in the renovation before home sale and chose Rarefied Air and it was a good decision. Aaron who came to our house for testing is very knowledgeable and helpful. I was told that I might have asbestos under my tile. The flooring guys packed up and said you need to get it tested before we can come back.
