My hygenist is awesome, their technology is awesome (text messages to remind you of your twice a year appointment? SUPER) and the office is clean and awesome too. Awesome dentist, awesome time. What I really like though the most is that Dr. Kaufman is realistic. I have an autoimmune disease, and she totally gets the struggles I have with my oral health, ie the pain and discomfort, and helps me find solutions to help. Bravo!

The dentists are very professional, answer all questions, friendly, and put you at ease if you are apprehensive. The scheduling is very easy, the receptionists very nice and very professional. They answer questions regarding your dental coverage and always print out a copy of your benefits/coverage remaining. The office is quiet, clean, and the wait for your scheduled appt is usually less than 10 minutes. The hygienists are wonderful, thorough, gentle, and help you feel comfortable. I love the little sunglasses/eyewear they give you so your eyes don't get wet, or so the bright light doesn't bother your eyes- I appreciate this since my eyes very sensitive to bright light. Had the tooth been properly evaluated before starting the procedure, this could have been avoided and my daughter would not have had to endure an unnecessary injection. After numbing her, the dentist repeatedly pulled at the tooth but was unable to remove it. My daughter is now in significant pain following the appointment. Watching her go through that experience was extremely upsetting. Based on what I witnessed, I have serious concerns about the judgment and care provided. I do not feel comfortable returning to this office, and I intend to explore my options, including speaking with a medical malpractice attorney.

We receive no call, no email, no card from them about this cancellation. To further comlicate their incompetence an appointment was made for me just a week and a half prior. Apparently, the reasoning behind this decision was cost-savings. Well, Brite Smiles just lost two customers, plus those enrolled in dentalplans.com. Beware!

Dr. Hannawi had a tough task - he just acquired the practice of a dentist I've used (and loved) since 1989. During this transition we are still being seen in the "old" North Attleboro office, to give us all time to transition to the new relationship and slightly different approach to dental care. On my first visit, which my former dentist had scheduled to replace some older fillings, I already observed many instances of the change. The first was waiting nearly 10 minutes before being seated in the chair, which had never happened before. This was possibly due to using two computer systems to manage my record, possibly due to different times each practice allots for certain procedures, or maybe the extra time needed to meet every patient for the first time. Dr. Hannawi used a few different tools from my former dentist - a newer imaging system, a hand held small camera that could take digital images of my teeth, and a thin headlamp that was cool but would have frightened my kids when they were little. He also had a different view about replacing these fillings. He thought that even though they are both old, it was premature to do anything with one. As for the other, his recommendation was a bit more aggressive: the filling is large in relation to the tooth, so cap it rather than fill it. I already have two crowns but prefer to keep my own teeth as long as possible. When I indicated that, we moved ahead to the filling. There was a difference here too; only amalgam was used, not the silver filling material, regardless of whether we were filling a front or interior tooth. Since my insurance supports amalgam only for front teeth, my out of pocket cost for the service was three times more than it would have been with my former dentist. Dr Hannawi and his assistant Maria have great bedside manner and work efficiently together. I look forward to continuing to see them and eventually moving to their usual office in Attleboro.
