Store Front Packed waiting to get in on a Sunday afternoon!
    Myrna R.

Located in the heart of Sweetwater, Miami is Raspados Loly's inside the Centro Commercial Managua. It's buzzing here on a Sunday late afternoon with lines wrapping around while you patiently but eagerly eat your turn for a treat from Raspado Loly's. The popular and my favorite choice of the Raspado Relleno. Cup is filled with shaving ice, topped off with dulce the leche and chunks of some sort of cake or pound cake filling. Once you get your treat, start slushing it, up and down, until creating a frothy creamy texture and then go to town!!!! Raspado Loly's have been here for decades and it's a Miami staple that marks Nicaraguan culture, raw and beautifully. It's worth the trip no matter where you're driving from. Don't expect anything fancy, it's divey but it gets the job done!!! Love it here.

World famous? Not quite. I visited specifically to try their so-called raspados, and I can confidently say it was a huge disappointment. There was more ice than anything else -- it felt like I was drinking just ice with a touch of sugar. The service was inadequate, and the place looked and felt dirty. This will be the first and last time I visit me.

Get the large or extra large Dulce de Leche con Relleno raspado. You won't regret it. Worth every spoon. Addicted fr

Ok this is a traditional Nicaraguan desert place. They are a natural fruit snow cone! WOW these treats are delicious and it's a little nostalgic feel for this central American place. Great friendly service and serving smiles. Love the vibes here and feels very international.

Really fast service and unique dessert to enjoy. Just wish the ice was shaved finer. Other than that really good

I have been going to raspados Loly's for as long as I can remember. Any true Nica knows this is THE spot for a good Nicaraguan raspado! SO GOOD and the line that usually spills to the outside proves it!! My go to is the dulce de leche granizado and it never disappoints. Don't be put off by the small shopping center and limited parking. I 1,000% recommend!

Been coming here for as long as I can remember. This place is a true staple for the Nicaraguan community in Miami and has even been featured in Andrew Zimmern's show. Raspado Loly is an ice cream shop where you can get flavors that are typical in Nicaragua. Flavors such as nancite, tamarindo, dulce de leche, etc. They also have your normal shaved ice with a variety of flavors to choose from. My favorite is el Relleno. It consists of dulce de leche (caramel) and pound cake layers. Aside from ice cream, they also have candy and other Nicaraguan goodies such as cajeta, rosquillas (corn & cheese cookies) , and pico (triangular bread with a filling of cheese with some sweetness to it). This place is delicious however the inside of store looks like it needs some TLC and the parking is always a hassle. I recommend coming towards night time when there is less people.

If you want a tasty treat, try Rapados Loly's Relleno special mix of dulce de leche, ice, and pound cake. It might sound strange, but it's really good! They also have other fruity flavors, but you gotta try the Relleno. The service is fast, even when it's busy. The place is small, like a corner store, but it's cozy. So, if you're looking for a yummy dessert in a chill atmosphere, Raspados Loly is the spot to check out!

What days and times does this business open exactly? We love to visit the shop, and visited today at 1:20PM but unfortunately it's not open for business.

It says they're open 7 days a week, 11a-9p. But 12p-9p on Sunday. I wouldn't know why they weren't open when you went. I went around that time also on a weekday and they were open.

Here you will find several chocolate related desserts so we ordered the strawberries, chocolate bubble tea, and Ferrero Rocher shake. The Dubai strawberry was very good with large juicy fruits drenched in smooth melted chocolate. The cup also included a pistachio paste and kadayif giving it a good crispy texture. My only complaint was that the pistachio flavors were not as strong. The chocolate bubble tea was solid you can still taste milk tea taste. But the star of the meal was their Ferro Rocher shake smooth and nutty with a little Nutella drizzle. If you want some unique desserts pick up an order from Sweet and Sticky.

Azucar bills itself as the first homemade Cuban ice cream and I believe it. Get the Abuela Maria. It is their number one seller for a reason: guava, cream cheese, and Maria cookies folded together, and it tastes exactly like something a Cuban grandmother would make if she also happened to be a genius. Cafe con Leche and Mantecado round out the top three and neither disappoints. Real talk on the practical stuff. It is busy and the shop is small, so expect a line and expect to eat standing or perched on the window bench. Prices run about seven to eleven bucks a cup depending on size, but taxes are included in the sticker (rare and appreciated, no surprise math at the register). Cash and Apple Pay both work. Pro move: grab your cup, walk thirty seconds to Domino Park, and eat it watching the old timers slap dominoes. That combo is peak Little Havana. Five stars, would fly back to Miami for the Abuela Maria alone.
