I love everything about Raven't Brew Coffee, from the different coffee grinds, Ray Troll art, to the nifty gifties. Love the traveler mugs, but after a few uses the lid leaks at the threads. It's been a while so maybe the company changed designs. I'm so glad I can find this Coffea plant seed roaster in many places across Alaska. Prudhoe Bay, Anchorage, Seward, etc... Recently, I was gifted Santa Caws coffee and it, like Saint Nick, delivered the goods. Will come again, and will always recommend. read more

Outstanding, Affordable Coffee by People Who Get It To start, I'm not a coffee snob. I've traveled across the globe for the US Navy, and everywhere I've been the first thing I try is the coffee. Coffee is the lifeblood of what I do. I'm not picky about the grind, or the brew. It needs to taste great and keep me sharp. When I settled down for a few years in Ketchikan, AK I accidentally discovered the most amazing coffee I've ever had in my life. Better than France, England, Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Hawaii. I've tried dozens of different roasters since I left Ketchikan, and nothing compares, not even the most expensive Hawaiian pea-berry & 100% Kona coffees. Every command I've gone to I make a point of introducing my guys to Raven's Brew, and I've gotten nothing but compliments. Even though I live halfway across the world now, I still make it a point to order from these guys. The Raven's Brew staff are a really friendly, cheery, tight knit group. The excellent service is a great addition to the delicious coffee, but it's the coffee that steals the show. At home I pull espresso with a Breville Barista Express, and that's where my favorite blend, 'Three Peckered Billy Goat', shines. When shipped, the coffee is vacuum sealed so the quality, flavor, and texture of the crema are excellent. As soon as you step foot onto the Ketchikan Cruise Ship docks, the most wonderful smell warms your heart in the cold Alaskan air! It is the smell of freshly-roasting coffee! Right there on the docks, there are small coffee shacks and I made a bee-line right to them-dragging my son along with me! I got him a hot cocoa and looked at all the great variety of coffee flavors that Raven's Brew has. I also liked that they were into "sustainability" and were truly an Alaskan company. Reading the brochure, the coffee originally came from some islands off Southeast Alaska where the raven is revered by the natives as a gift of the sun to them. Not knowing where there might be a Starbucks-or even IF THERE WAS EVEN ONE in Ketchikan-I knew I had to gulp down some strong java quick and this was the place to do it! That Raven coffee is hearty and flavorful and it has a very fresh but pure taste. I bought a pound of it: "3 Peckered Billy Goat Coffee Blend" to take home and try . This coffee cart also had some delicious fresh blueberry and bran muffins! Talk about a captive audience-when all those easy prey tourists climb off that big boat-they are right there for the fleecing! So I am glad that Ketchikan saw fit to at least put a decent coffee cart there selling the best Alaskan brewed stuff fit to drink! read more

Ketchikaners live with rain,gloriouse rain.day in day out. when it does not rain, the pacific ocean sparkles like ten thousand diamonds in the sun and makes it all worth it. For the rest of the time(360 out of 365) they use coffee as the way to wake up in the a.m. And this is one of their favs. There were at least 3 driveup coffee places year round there.
