We have not been here in awhile so we came by today. The inside is inviting and the staff is friendly. They have a great selection to choose from and what I love the best is they use coffee ice cubes in their ice coffees. It is a treat to come here as well.

AMAZING! Service, food, coffee, AND cocktails. We went for the valentines latte flight. Great flavors and beautiful presentation. With the daily quiche... YUM. We then returned for before dinner cocktails! The cocktails were well designed, tasted great, and the vibe completely changed to a fun drink spot.

Cute cafe on the way to Charlottesville! On a Saturday morning the place was packed! We got two lattes, croissants, and a vegan donut. The lattes were real strong and needed more flavor. The croissant was warmed up and good, but although we can not complain, the vegan donut was like dough. We would love to give this place a second chance if nearby!

We found this beautiful coffee shop located in downtown Culpeper VA on a Saturday morning to grab some latte and it was an amazing experience. On the pictures it might look like a restaurant, but it's a coffee shop. The staff was very friendly and rapid. Overall, coffee and food are really good. We really enjoyed it :)

A super cute Cafe. There's some street parking around and we didn't have any issues finding a spot at all on a Sunday morning. The staff is really nice and they have a bunch of flavors and sugar flavors. Their Pastries all looked delicious but we opted for the Cranberry Biscotti which we dipped in our lattes. They also have Gluten Free Pastries! Their menu also includes breakfast foods and some other sandwiches. Wine beer and cocktails too. It's really cute inside and the s'mores latte was delicious. Definitely recommend coming here. Not too many seats but really cozy.

Coffee Stop No. 326 (February 3, 2024) Spread a little happiness! Raven's Nest Coffee House is definitely a place you don't want to miss when you're in Culpeper, VA. They spread happiness in all sorts of ways. I barely know where to start. The cortado's temperature was bit hot, but it didn't completely affect the taste which means their coffee bean is pretty awesome. Speaking of their coffee bean, Raven's Nest roasts their own beans. There are a variety of different bags for purchase at the front of the coffee house. You can't miss them because the bags are artsy, colorful, attractive and unique. The best part is they are for sale! Raven's Nest aesthetics complements the Downtown of Culpeper, which is a historic town dating back to 1759. Vintage metal chairs, a brick storefront, a tin ceiling and plenty of indoor seating add to the charm of the coffeehouse. Besides cortados, stickers and postcards are some of my favorite things and Raven's Nest had both for purchase! The first picture of this post is their postcard. I couldn't help it. I bought several and sent them out to friends. Be sure to stop in at Raven's Nest Coffee House the next time you are strolling the streets of Culpeper, VA. 674 more coffee shops until I reach my goal of 1,000 coffee shops!

The name "Ravens Nest" in itself is such a cute name for a coffee shop, and when I visited I wasn't let down. Inside is super cute but not very study friendly unless you have headphones. Sorry everyone, yes I'm "That" person who tries to study at coffee shops during peek hours. (Don't Judge Me! ) When I looked up from my computer most people were chatting about. The vibe and energy inside was great. Definitely a community place. If you like a cafe that's for locals, this is your place. Also very kid friendly. So bring the kiddos. I ordered a Chai Tea Latte w/oat milk and it was Okay. They have a variety of milk/non dairy options which is nice for vegans. I'd visit again! The vibe was great.

We stopped in for a light breakfast and coffee and hung out for a bit until the rain slowed. Service was fast and friendly, they even bright our food out to us which was not expected but very nice. Two of us got a breakfast sandwich, another quiche of the day, another an almond apple muffin. Everyone liked their food. The coffee was just ok. The London fog latte was good, the mocha was ok, the plain black was very weak and not dark like it was supposed to be and the maple coffee was ok as well. The coffee was sadly mediocre but the vibe of the coffee house was great. Good seating, good decor. A lot of people from the Amtrak coming and going, a definite hot spot. It's worth a visit.

I'd give 6 stars if I could. Small town charm? Familiar faces? Delicious coffee? Raven's Nest is the package deal. I love all of the amazing barista's: Alex, Josie, and Kelso are always willing to serve flavorful coffees. Alex always is helping me find my next favorite on the menu with his recommendations. The pastries are wonderful and I'm always trying something new. Grab and go in the morning is the best. They have fast service and I can always call ahead if I'm running late. They're patient and courteous. My favorite hobby is getting a table outside and reading. If you're indecisive, I recommend a coffee flight and to sit for a while. When guests visit out of town, I always take them to Raven's Nest. This is a must stop place in Culpeper, Virginia. Thanks for being a backdrop of our small town.

A very very pleasant and cool space. Wish it were my coffee house daily but since I live in Florida that isn't possible. Will certainly come again when doing family history research on the Graves family of Culpeper Co. and make Raven's Nest the start of each day. Any time of the day come relax and snack at Raven's Nest I suggest. read more

the coffee is quite tasty -- especially the red eye (coffee with a shot of espresso). the only reason i took off a star was because i had a brownie that made me sad (i thought that was impossible) but DEFINITELY go for the coffee and chicken salad. read more

My wife and I have been going to Raven's Nest whenever we visit Davis Street since 2009 when the shop was located across the street in a different building. We like their new location even more - stunning tin pressed ceiling, and beautiful interior setup. The coffee and fresh made food is always good. Great, local coffee shop that we highly recommend. read more

Can't say enough good things about Raven's Nest. Combine welcoming, efficient, friendly staff with excellent food, great coffee selection with a lively and inviting vibe and you obviously have the recipe for Raven's Nest. The only thing I would change is to move it to my neighborhood in Richmond!! Definitely going back and recommending it to people I'd like to run into there. read more

A nice place to stop and grab a coffee and snack. House brew coffee was good, and not bitter. Baked goods were quite good. we had a scone, a baklava which was quite good and not your usual sickly sweet offering, a massive chocolate biscotti, a piece of loaded zucchini bread which was tasty, and a chocolate cake ball (just minus the stick) which was delicious. Hopefully will have a chance to come back some time to try a sandwich and a chai-der (chai plus cider!). Thumbs up to the clean bathrooms. Very kid friendly with kid tables and toys. Staff were friendly and very graciously made our order quickly. Don't forget to say hi to the bird in the back of the shop! read more

Love this place! These folks really know how to bake-their brownies are incredible. Coffee is excellent and love how they use frozen coffee ice cubes for their iced coffee. I have stopped in many times and never been disappointed. Their chicken salad is fantastic. Service is friendly. My only complaint is that the food is a tad pricey($9.99 for chicken salad on croissant with Rt. 11 chips or apple) but considering the quality of the food I don't mind paying a bit more. read more

Might be great if you are local, but as visitors my wife & I had a really unpleasant time there. The food was nothing special. The lady who served us was the rudest person we met in Virginia. She could not have been less pleasant to us without actually swearing. We would never go there again, nor recommend it. read more

This is my favorite coffee house of all time. And I'm in my 60's so I've been to quite a few... I live nearby and have only had wonderful coffee, wonderful food and delightful interactions with the owner and baristas. Sometimes I hang out there for most of a day so I can work on a computer project without the interruptions that lurk in my home office. They are always welcoming and encouraging, even if I only buy one drink and nurse it for hours. The homemade foods are spectacular and so varied - I always find several items I would love to eat, and have enjoyed everything I've ever chosen. It's one of the cleanest establishments you'll find anywhere. I thoroughly enjoy my visits and I bet you will too! read more

This is such an amazing spot for any treat- far beyond any chain coffee brand. This wonderful small town coffee house is such a wonderful addition to Davis St. and will be a place a cherish for as long as it is open. To those who complain about the price, I would challenge you to take a moment and appreciate the difficulties of running a small business. They are immense, with more problems then you can ever manage. You cannot reasonably expect this level of quality and setting for a Dunkin' Donuts price. Life's simply too short to be skimpy on coffee, "the last legal high"! read more

We stop in Culpeper on our drive north and this cafe is always where we have breakfast. Fresh scones, I had an amazing fresh cannoli (I know it's breakfast but it was just made). The owner is friendly, and the cafe is charming and comfortable and you can watch the locals meet up for coffee and breakfast. She even knows the visiting groups in town. And of course the coffee is excellent. read more

This is our go-to coffee shop and gathering spot in Culpeper. If you want to see folks you know, meet new people, relax and enjoy your coffee this is the place. The food is homemade, and most things are really good. If we were in England our local pub would be like this - friendly and relaxing. My husband stops in many afternoons for a latte, and this is where we go when we need a mid-shopping pick-me-up. It's also the place to go on Saturday mornings during Farmers' Market season. I love, love Raven's Nest!! I don't live in Culpeper but visit from time to time. I always be sure to stop by. The people are friendly, the coffee is excellent, and they serve wine for those looking for a leisurely post evening break. The music, too, I've found is great and makes for a relaxing atmosphere. I wish I could give it 6 stars and that my local starbucks near my house in DC would be replaced with a Raven's. read more

bit of a jolt, and it wasn't from the coffee. imagine handing over a $20 for a piece of cake and a small hot tea and getting $10 and change back again! my fault for not asking the price of things beforehand. perhaps lil ol' culpeper is a lot more upscale than I imagined it to be. just a warning to others who may be thinking of stopping on by. check the prices before you order. and the cake wasn't all that good. a bit dry. sugary. the tea? can't really screw that up. it's just a matter of taking the bag out at the right moment. read more

Now to the people who complain here that they were "ignored" by the bartenders or that service took forever...read: local spot. If you're from out of town and you're expecting rushed service and the immediacy of the big city, this might not be the place for you. But if you're looking for something truly special, slide up to the bar. Be patient...the bartender will be there as soon as they're done listening to Old Bill tell his story. Order a beer and a pizza and take a seat at one of their small tables. Enjoy and unhurried drink. And right about the time you're feeling like ordering a second beer, your hot, delicious, perfectly cooked pizza will be dropping out of the ceiling on a dumb waiter (yes, from the ceiling...you read that right). Smother it in locally made hot sauce (an unexpected plus), grab your second beer and enjoy that delicious pizza with someone you love, or the new friend you made at the table next to you. But for God's sake, be patient, be kind, be respectful. Cause you're likely visiting, and Far Gohn is all about the local vibe!!

The waitress was attentive and offered to refill our beverages (my ice water and my friend's sweet tea) many times and checked on us as well. The fish was succulent, fried to perfection, flavorful and moist and served with at least four, and more likely 6 ounces of tartar sauce that didn't skimp on the diced pickles. Two lemon slices (one for the ice water, one for the fish) accompanied my meal. The meal left me feeling full, satisfied and satiated and I wont hesitate to return again in the near future. Their breakfast menu was very reasonably priced and my colleagues fried eggs, french toast and grits looked delicious. Excellent portion sizes at very reasonable and affordable prices. A pauper could dine like a prince at Frank's Diner! The diner itself is tastefully appointed and was not overly loud, despite being at above 50% capacity. Wood paneling with painted white wall board with some interesting décor added to the experience. We left our charming waitress a generous tip in line with the excellent service. This is one of the best restaurants in the charming small town of Culpeper and I would encourage everyone to try it.

DONT BOTHER! staryucks is better and cheaper! plus the owner is a nasty mad at the world moron who is only there to take your money for over priced goods. me and my bf were really excited about having a coffee house so nearby. not just a staryucks! our first experience was fine with this place but then we came back a couple days later... what a rude awakening!!!! the lady behind the counter was very rude she treated us like she didnt want to serve us. and on top of that she didnt even get my drink right. i did not notice until i had sat down. when i went up and asked to get the correct drink she had a major attitude with me. i asked for the number of her boss and she said she owned the place!!! wow i feel sorry for anyone that goes into that shop and has to deal with the monster behind the counter and greive for anyone employed by her!!!! I was very disappointed with the Frozen Hot Chocolate, after having read a prior rave review of it and having gone out of my way while walking in the heat to try it. It was a runny, soupy, unfrozen, not particularly chocolately concoction with a slightly powdery taste. It definitely was not worth the premium I paid for it. I love the shop itself, the two-star rating is for the Frozen Hot Chocolate. The shop is comfortable, with a relaxed, mellow vibe and a great song list playing. I was here last summer and I'll probably return (I have friends living nearby) but I'll be ordering a more pedestrian tea or coffee, not the overpriced not-really-frozen hot chocolate. read more

Best coffee in culpeper. I don't go for the specialty drinks, just plain coffee and it's much better than starbucks. Pastries and breakfast sandwiches are just awesome. The pricing here is equivalent to starbucks but the coffee and pastries and the ambience at the shop is much better. The Service is great And the special music guests make it more fun. read more

Definitely the best little spot to visit for a quick delicious bite, tasty sweet treats, or a great coffee. They have so many great offerings and the location is right in downtown Culpeper. It's a must visit whether you live in Culpeper or just here visiting. read more

Fantastic coffee, great atmosphere, very friendly staff! For iced coffee drinks they use frozen coffee for ice cubes to avoid watering down the drink! Absolutely brilliant! Baked goods are all homemade. I had the blueberry lemon pie - blew me away. read more
