Established in 2009.

Owners of Ravensworth Studios, Gregory and Elizabeth Schoenborn, bought a picturesque property in 2009 as the perfect setting to design and build a custom, professional recording studio. After nearly 18 months of construction, the studio officially opened for business in September 2011. Located in beautiful Central Virginia, near the quaint river town of Scottsville, Ravensworth Studios offers a private and tranquil "recording retreat" environment, modeled after the European concept of full, on-site amenities. We offer B&B-style accommodations and home-cooked meals for clients who would like to book multi-day, "lockout" sessions. With nearly 16 acres of mountain views and scenic wooded bluffs, the stand-alone studio is situated just steps away from the main house, offering the unique combination of a professional studio...yet, a place where you can truly "Come Home and Record."
