Surgeries were performed in 2010 and 2011 and not only failed but the the pain in my hip for all these years is caused from this doctors actions. When you take bone from in my case the hip - the bone doesn't heal back the same. Plus it causes issues with the soft tissue (muscles, ligaments and all else around). I was never told this would be a cause for concern. PLUS in 2012 I had an extensive knee replacement.

I couldn't straighten my leg or put weight on it, and a visit to Ortho Access was my next move. I was able to schedule an appointment for about an hour later. I was seen right away, and Dr. Skjong couldn't have been nicer (or funnier - he offered to let me punch him in the face when he assessed my knee. I did not take him up on that offer). He referred me for an MRI, and called me himself with the results. He patiently talked through options for addressing the absolutely disgusting mess that was the connective tissue in my knee, and made a quick referral for me to physical therapy. Five weeks later, I was back to running, cycling, lifting and -- yes -- even successfully sitting down on a yoga mat. My only complaint was that the check-in process was a little long for someone on crutches who couldn't bear any weight but needed to sign things. It seems like having a seated check-in option would be good (tablet or something similar?) given the nature of the clinic and the work they do.

Palmer-education/training was a bonus, and his wonderful adjustment enabled me to continue to take care of the gdaughter for an overnight stint, and get to my massage therapist for further relief. The one on one care on site and accessibility was genuine and helped me understand my recovery and previous setbacks. I am amazed more PT clinics don't operate this way- I think there would be a lot less of us in PT then. Booking: First appointment made over phone and subsequent ones made on site and they accept most insurance. Parking: Ample parking in lot. Dr. Ryan Harold was my surgeon and I was very happy with his work as well as his general demeanor, manners, and professionalism. He even let me have my music of choice from their Pandora app in the operating room, and he did the surgery to ACDC, yeah! The receptionist and all of the physician assistants and nurses I encountered were friendly, competent, and professional. It might not appear so from the exterior of their big building, but the operating area of this practice is pretty much a hospital setting, and it's a large and busy one. Before the surgery, all of the required forms and health surveys were sent out on a timely and clear basis via both text messaging and email. I was also notified before the surgery date of my expected post insurance bill. I was impressed and pleased with my experience here, and thank you!
