Whether you're just getting started on your fitness and strength-training journey or you're a seasoned pro, Raw will have you covered. The co-owners Will, Samantha, and Jason are some of the nicest folks I've ever met. They genuinely care about the members and take great pride in keeping the gym clean, current and fun. When I say fun, I mean everyone is good vibes and kind. But don't get it twisted, folks mean business here. Never have I ever met such strong folks at a gym. I've partnered up and lifted with some fitness beasts whom are the kindest, sweetest souls I've ever met. They keep me on my toes and inspire me to lift heavier, inserts nervous laugh, lol. Coach Will is awesome. He's corrected my form and taught me how to lift, properly. When I joined almost a year ago, I was terrible at deadlifts and quite frankly, was terrified of them. Great equipment. Some really solid folks. Seems to have a good mission in their connections with veterans. Over the last 2 years of being a member I've had an overwhelmingly great experience. Where this gym failed was in its decision to support bullying and harassment of members. Over the last month I've reached out for support and was not provided it. As of 6/13 it escalated to an in-person event where a member was permitted to scream at, follow around, harass and cause a scene against me. When the owner was notified in person there was no intervention. When all owners were notified of the situation yesterday afternoon, there was no response. As of today 6/13 my membership was terminated with no contact regarding the reasoning. Instead ownership sided with a group of 10-20 individuals who bring in $70/month each and have contributed to a toxic environment where any new member can expect to be talked about behind their back, rumors spread about them, and to walk in to a gym where they wont feel safe. At the end of the day, I think that while this gym could be a great place, priorities are skewed and don't align with image being put forward of a kind and supportive environment with a no tolerance policy for toxicity. Better luck at any other gym in the area Update: 6/13 at 2:10pm I received an email from the gym that provided me notice of my membership termination (without the reason why): "This letter is being provided as formal notice that as of June 13, 2003, you are no longer a member of Raw Performance Gym. As a result, please note that you will no longer have access to the gym floor or any events hosted by Raw Performance. You will be refunded the amount of $209.97 for the months of April, May and June monthly terms in full. There's so much to say about this gym! 1- High quality equipment: there is a variety of specialty bars, including cambered bar, SSB, Kadillac bar, and a variety of squat, power, and deadlift bars. The platforms, carpet areas, and bench covers are mended, re-made, or replaced every few months for increased efficiency and use. This is one of the reasons that drew me to this gym - the owners, Will, Sam, and Jason continuously re-invest into the gym. You don't see the owners flaunting brand new cars or flashy items, they pour their money into purchasing better equipment - we recently got a Monolift! 2 - One of the owners and coach, Will Ha is a phenomenal coach who leads a variety of morning, afternoon, and evening training sessions. He has individual, group, and online clients. He keeps a vigilant eye during training, and offers in person feedback. He creates an inclusive environment, where everyone, any size, any age, can lift and strength train. He also runs a youth group on select days during the week. It is so endearing to see the youngsters train! 3 - The owners host a variety of events throughout the year - from strength seminars, women seminars, squat/deadlift parties, there is always something happening at the gym. Raw has also hosted two USPA competitions, and there is a verve of energy felt at these meets! 4 - CSRT: If you are a veteran, there is a program catered towards mental health and physical training. Sam, one of the owners, runs this program, and Will, another owner, spearheads the training aspect. 5 - 24/7 access - come train at any time at your own pace. 6 - In-house chiropractor - Dr. Eddie. Can't go wrong with him, he has affordable rates for members, and does a plethora of bodywork and movement work during sessions. 7 - The people - This is not a commercial gym. I joined this gym in May of this year (2023), and within three short months, I've already seen tremendous progress in my strength and understanding/execution of proper technique. (and very noticeable changes in my body composition, I'm actually developing muscle!) I've never been consistent with my weight training. Part of it was the lack of confidence that I was doing things right (youtube videos just weren't doing it for me). But after my first free intro session of group coaching led by Will, I knew immediately this was the key for me to finally get consistent and focused. Lifting safe, proper form and injury free was something I valued, and the coaching here mirrors this. Will showed me proper movement patterns and added an expert eye/confirmation that I needed. When you think he's not looking you'll get a "Lean forward more" and a "put your feet closer together" or a "brace and keep that tension in your lats" Never knew I had lats. Will will push you/encourage you when it's appropriate, "It's time to add more weight"..." That's too light" I trust the process/routine that is provided each week ,and each week or two, I surprise myself by improving upon what I did the prior sessions. There's something so addictive about the conquering of lbs/kilos of metal weights that just one week prior wouldn't budge no matter how hard I pushed or pull. An added bonus is the other group coaching members. People are here to improve themselves. As I'm getting closer to some of the members, the more I realize this is a solid group of successful, driven, and friendly individuals. The equipment here seems to be everything I'll need, and there are people who are serious competitors/athletes that train here, so it's cool to see how the pros focus and train. If anyone's lacking consistency, group coaching at Raw was my key to success in this area. During my rest days, I can't wait to get back to my next sessions and the joy I get from hearing the beautiful welcoming sound of metal clanking and the chatter of other members as I walk from my car to check-in. So much to say about this great gym. I usually do guest passes when I'm in the area or need to use specific bars my coach assigns on my program. The gym is clean, organized and although it caters more to a powerlifting & CrossFit community - anyone and everyone is welcome! Even those without any prior strength training experience can come in and find help from members showing where dumbbells go, or how to load the bars and such. Or I'd also highly recommend working with one of their trainers & coaches there too!! Love their powerlifting meets, events and special functions they host and also really just enjoy coming to hang out with friends that lift there! What a gym. I was here for a year and then we moved a little further away, so unfortunately had to leave. But this spot is awesome. Great for: * powerlifting, either competitive or recreational * bodybuilding (but no mirrors so can't work on posing) * intro to weightlifting - classes and personal training are great Considerations: * no treadmills or ellipticals. * no turf area if you're rehabbing or wanting to do agility work * no smoothies, tanning beds, red light therapy, etc I came from an LA Fitness with 10x the square footage but only 3 benches, 3 squat racks, and way too much waiting. RP has approx 6 bench/squat stations, 3 more full racks, 5-6 spaces in the freeweight area with various kinds of benches, half a dozen deadlift stations, an outdoor space with a couple bikes and racks plus modular equipment for machine chest press, rows, etc. I noticed both advanced, competitive lifters as well as novices, and everyone is welcomed. You can keep to yourself, or branch out and make friends; no big deal either way. Both men and women. You won't be the only one who can squad/deadlift 600+, you won't be the only one that is just getting into it. Usually I just put my headphones in and did my own thing, but seeing all the effort being put it around you makes you work harder and push a little more. 10/10 recommend. read more

Try it for yourself--they offer a very reasonably-priced day pass! From the people to the equipment and amenities, you can tell that the Raw community values fitness first and foremost. They've got a really clean facility and a wide variety of equipment to get any kind of workout done. No more skipping leg day cause the squat racks are all occupied. They've got racks galore! ("Hooray, legs!" --Nobody.) Plus, they got literal barrels of chalk for all your powerlifting needs. Expect nothing but good vibes here. Members and staff are very friendly and courteous. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it here! I've been coming to this gym for almost 2 years now and regret nothing. This gym is just the best and holds a special place in my heart. First of all everyone basically becomes family here. Everyone is just so friendly and they literally support you. They cheer for you when reaching a new PR, they spot you if asked and etc. I mean sure maybe you can get that at another gym too but the mood is just different here. Also this gym is always clean! You literally can see everyone cleaning up after themselves unlike other gyms where people are sloppy. So that's a big plus. Also ladies, unlike other gyms you don't have to feel like you're being creeped on nor judged by others staring at you. People just root for you and focus on themselves and their own body goals. This gym is truly a gem. It's a great space, the staff and other folks working out are welcoming. They were open at 5am which I really needed too! Will spent time with me on my first session to gauge where I was and I still got a great workout. There was never pressure to sign up or get hooked into some deal. I told Will what I was looking for and he found options that fit my needs. After getting my bearings, I was grouped with folks and immediately jumped into the training. The folks I trained with were there to workout. We encouraged each other and helped each other get through some of those last reps that I normally would have given up on working out alone. It was really nice to have an entire gym that was there to just support each other. I never thought I would be deadlifting and squatting like I was. I used to avoid squatting because it looked intimidating, but Will walked me through it and made sure I had proper form. I never got pushed unnecessarily just to add more weight or get that last push that would have been unsafe. If form wasn't correct, Will would have me re-rack and start again to make sure my form was spot on. It was clear that they care about doing things right and not just doing it to max out. This was safe and sustained growth. The gym was also super clean. There are plenty of cleaning sprays and towels to wipe things down and the members are good about wiping things down after using the equipment. I joined about a month before my wedding and I am so thankful I found Raw Performance. I highly recommend this gym. I am actually really bummed I ended up moving so far away. It's hard to find gyms with this focus on form and such a great vibe. read more

This gym is AMAZING. Not only is it extremely clean (i'm talking even the RESTROOM SMELLS GOOD), but the staff is so friendly, and knowledgeable. There is always someone here to help you with your technique or explain how to use equipment if you're unsure which bars to use, etc. Will, in particular, made me and my boyfriend feel so welcome here! The layout is organized and clean, members always spray down their own equipment and re-rack their stuff, and the gym feels open and not overly crowded. The vibe here is unlike anything I've ever experienced--in a great way They have a lot of things that most other gyms don't have, including squat bars, jammers, MAG attatchments, and so much more They also have a chiropractor in house that you can hire to adjust you (including cupping and soft tissue work). I freaking love this gym!!!! I can't say enough good thing about this gym. I found this gym by luck cause all my local gym where closing down cause of the covid lockdown aftermath. So I was looking for a new gym, but also I wanted one that was more suited for powerlifting and I found this gym. From my first day in, everyone in the gym was nice and greeted me. This place feels more like a community and I made friends in less then a weeks and the support is unbelievable. This gym just opened up so the equipment is still tricking in. However, the atmosphere is awesome. You have control over the music in the gym, so you don't have to listen to the elevator music played in the commercial gyms. The head trainer, Will, is super helpful. He walks around, works in with you, and gives constructive and crucial tips on how to lift properly and safely. I'm definitely more of a private gym person and trying to find one has been hard. However, once I bumped into this gem of a gym I haven't looked back! I usually train here on the weekends because of my work schedule but I make that hour count! Their equipment is awesome and there's always someone there to help. The gym's vibe is perfect! This place is amazing! Last year I was plagued by injuries. I had ramped up my workouts during COVID like many of us, and I "knew" what I was doing and how to achieve my fitness goals. I was wrong. Over the years injuries and mobility issues accumulated. I spent a long time adapting to the injuries and issues without addressing the underlying conditions. This led to weakness and a poor foundation to achieve my goals. After a series of back injuries kept me from the gym, I swallowed my pride and went to Raw and Will Ha. He was patient and pulled me back, worked on the most basic of basics and helped rebuild my foundation. It has been slow going, but I have been injury free for over 9 months and my functional strength and resilience has dramatically improved. From EXOS, Athletic Performance Institute, to private D1 facilities, and I would put Raw Performance right up there with them. I love their 24-hour access ability for my crazy schedule And they have everything you could ever need.
