asked to have a hot water heater replaced and only got a $20 part but charged $229.00 for the part. tech guy was told what we needed but got to the call and said he did NOT have time to do the full job! talked to manager and he totally backed his tech guy with the job he did. the manager was NOT concerned about having our business. Problem: leak in pipe under bathroom sink. Plumber arrived 3:14p. Plumber noted immediately the variety of pipe used (PB); he said he would have to see if he had a fitting that would work. That took 5 minutes to walk to his truck and back. Ten minutes after rechecking the parts he had brought, he came to me and said he would have to go to a supplier to see if he could get the right material. At that point, having been there less than half an hour he reported that so far I now owed 175.00... IF ...he stopped and DIDN'T FIX the problem, or, he could go and see what he could find that could work, come back and fix the problem for another 175.00. What would you have done?? A) pay someone 175.00 to tell you he had come without the necessary material to solve your problem and be left with the problem which was was now leaking at a faster rate than when he arrived. B). There is no "B". He left, was gone less than half an hour, came back, replaced the fitting in less than 20 minutes. The last time I looked, 2 X 175 equaled 350.00. Since plumbers now do not give you a receipt for the price of the parts used, and since we are not supposed to ask for them!! I went on line and found info for flex fittings: miniscule!! Ray Lusk Plumbing was recommended to me by a friend. I had an old, nasty water heater that I knew needed replaced, but wanted to get an estimate first. I called and Donovan was able to come first thing this morning (just 2 days later) with no service charge for the visit. (Sadly, some other plumbers do charge a fee to give an estimate.) After taking a look, he gave me the estimate. I honestly didn't know what to expect price-wise, but was thrilled to get a 10 gal larger tank for only $100 more (20 gal more than the tank being replaced). You know all companies can have a bad review. This company does not believe the customer is right. I had work done that was not approved by me. I was never told anything. I was asked to come to the back bathroom where some of the work was done but it was not the main repair. Long story short I would not recommend this company for anything. I am a senior citizen that feels I was taken advantage of by having to sign something and not even being able to see what I was signing for. I was told I would get a email. They came to adjust the water pressure within normal range bc was too high, but left without checking the water and it was barely coming out of the showers. We called them to let them know showers not functioning properly and needed water pressure adjusted so showers would function properly w adequate water flow. They said sure and came out the next day but wanted to charge $175 to fix their error. (They had only charged $145 for both water adjust and a tub leak on original visit). There was no warranty or standing behind their work, and the manager was extremely rude to me and my buyers. He said he adjusted it to 65 as requested and he doesn't check faucets. We had another plumber come out the next day and adjust it- it was on 18 lbs (not 65 like we were told)!!! In almost 10 years in real estate, I've never had a contractor act this unprofessional, rude and not stand behind their work. It was supposed to be a happy closing day for my clients moving to NWA. I will be sharing this experience w my fellow agents and clients. read more
