What a disappointment! In July 2019 I contracted with the company to repair a deteriorated cement chimney crown and do additional minor roof work. There was a delay in scheduling the work. I was notified there was a mix-up in scheduling due to similarity of names of another individual which seemed odd but so be it. Finally, after a few calls, I received a response indicating the work would begin the next day, One individual did arrive the following day, who was onsite about 1 1/2 hours and left. He came back the following 2-3 days with the same work pattern. Little time spent and he left. On what he advised was the final workday for job completion he brought his wife/girlfriend with him who was actually on the roof to help him. I was dismayed but believing it was cleared with management at Ray St. Clair did not object. As they were preparing to leave my premises, I checked the work and found that they had not painted the roof valleys which was pointed out to them. For brevity purposes, I won't elaborate in expansive details but potential customers should be aware of the poor quality of workmanship on the cement crown. I contacted St Clair's quality service team shortly after job completion and an individual came out to inspect. He indicated the work was acceptable. Enough said in that regard. Now, the cement is rough and choppy looking from the deck below and the so-called crown coat water-proofing material that was applied has now bubbled and partially flaked off. In fact, a huge chunk last week was hanging down the side of our chimney. We had to climb a ladder to remove it from blowing in the wind as well as additional pieces that were loose. Needless to say, poor workmanship! So, be aware of who will be doing your work from Ray St. Clair and watch the quality!

We had our windows one on our entire house and from the time I called them they called me to let me know they would be having an estimator contact me within the next 5 days. They called me within 2 days to schedule the appointment. The day prior to the appointment they called me to confirm. They were 10 minutes early which I never expect that. They brought samples with them and spend the time to go over the entire inside and outside of home with us. We received an estimate in 2 days which he told me he would. They reached out to me 2 days later to see if I had any questions. We signed the contract. They told us when the windows would be in and they came in when they estimated. Installation was perfect and you would of never known someone came in the house to install. Beyond Happy.

Keep an eye on the workers they seem to be independent contractors. The I house staff seems to be competent.

DGK Home Solutions to the Rescue!!…read more The Tuesday after Memorial Day (May 26, 2026) we started a residential residing project at my son's house in the Cincinnati area. We planned to remove the existing wood siding and replace with new vinyl. We had purchased all the materials needed (or so we thought) ahead of time. I live 5 hours north of my son and we had 4 weeks of time to complete the project due to my travel plans. We started demo on Tuesday May 26 and by Jun 7 had the front and sides of the house and garage siding removed and had installed siding on the face and sides of the garage. We were struggling to get the siding level from front to sides of the garage and the sides looked very wavy. At this point I realized we were not going to complete the project before I had to leave on June 22. On June 8 I put out a request for help on Yelp. That very same evening Nancy from DGK called me and discussed our project. The next day James came out to look at the project and gave us an on-the-spot estimate. I had one other company coming to look at the project and told James we would get back to him by the end of the week. June 12 (Friday) we agreed to the contract with DGK. On Monday June 15 the crew arrived early morning to start the work. They removed the old wood siding on the rear of the house and removed an old deck that we had not gotten too. They applied new OSB over the Celotex sheeting on all sides of the house and installed new house wrap. I was amazed at what they completed in a day. James explained the OSB would give a better surface to nail to and help reduce the waviness we had seen on the garage walls we sided. On Tuesday June 13, the crew installed new PVC 1x4 window trim on all windows and installed siding on the house front and back and right side. We ran short of siding so they could not finish the left side of the house. I had not calculated the amount of siding needed correctly. We ordered an additional 10 square to complete the project. Unfortunately, it took almost 10 days to receive the siding. James stayed in constant contact with us during the project, and once the siding was in the crew picked it up from the supplier and completed the installation. They had to redo the sides of the garage we completed installing new OSB and then house wrap/siding. By July 3rd the entire siding project was complete including reinstallation of the gutter downspouts and electrical meter and comms boxes. James worked with us on the pricing of the additional siding needed to install (10 square). We still need to install lights and wrap the porch posts. In the end we were very happy with the project, and I was relieved that the house was complete and weatherproof for the kids. I would recommend DGK to anyone looking for a siding project in the area.

Where do I start. My house was severely damaged due to a Contractor leaving my ridge line open…read moreduring a storm. DGK swooped in like they were saints and I used the to fix all the damage. They stated that they could have us back in my house by 18 December 2025 and if I pay 23,000 more work won't stop due to insurance. That did not happen. This issue started in July 2025 and DGK still had not finished my house when I fired them early February 2026. 7 months of them dragging my along. They would do very little work then ghost us for weeks. Ignoring text messages and phone calls. They kept saying they need more money. When asked to see invoices, purchase orders etc James Wocher told me that's not how it works. Really? I, the customer can't see where MY money is going. My final issue that set me over board was they neglected to put insulation in my roof during this record setting cold winter causing me to have Propane filled up 5 times now since December 8 2025. James stated it's not their fault and I must have a leak. I paid another contractor two months ago to check for leaks and weather my crawl space but James still won't take responsibility. Then more water damage was seen and DGK refused to send someone out to stop the leak instead stating I don't need their insurance information or license and bonding information. All required to be given to a client. After having MY insurance access the damage it was found that DGK did not install a proper ice and water barrier in the valley of my roof and since no insulation was in my attic the ice and water entered my home and destroyed more of my home. It was also identified that none of the insulation they did install is not up to code. The two vents they replaced for me in both bathrooms is also not up to code (not vented anywhere). This company is stealing money and not fixing what they were supposed to up to code. James claims the refund from the insurance for the 23,000 I paid belongs to them which is not even remotely theirs. I have not seen an invoice or anything proving they used all of the over 150,000 my insurance paid them. Do not waste money or time with this company. They also tried to instal a French door without insulating it. Really? There's plenty more to tell but I'll leave it at this. Update: James is again claiming false statements when all issues were identified by Insurance adjuster and licensed home inspector. I had to pay for the insulation myself which is over 5,000 dollars that was sent to DGK to complete. Where is my reimbursement for that. We will let the law decide who's in the wrong. All code violation are very real and the fact he chose to bash my review proves he's reaching too far on this. As for the ICE issue, we had three workers call us and threaten my family if DGK did not pay them for work done at my home. One stated they had no papers to be here is why James won't pay him then threatened to paint my house all black. I'd say I have a leg to stand on when it comes to that.

From Vitto's visit to the scheduling and installation of our siding; every step was well executed and easy. The contractors were professional and appeared to know what they were doing. Before purchasing, I specifically discussed my primary concern with the salesperson: through my windows. I even provided a competing quote showing the type of solar-heat-reducing glass I wanted, and we discussed this in detail. I was told American Weathertechs had a comparable product, and the salesperson demonstrated heat performance to me using a heat lamp. . The November 2025 installation had numerous problems, including windows that were difficult or impossible to operate, bowed sashes and installation deficiencies. I objected to signing completion paperwork because the work was not complete, but I was told to sign and not worry because I had a warranty and they would return to correct the problems. Financing was then processed. , . Fourteen sashes ultimately required replacement, yet problems remained. I eventually hired an independent third-party inspector, who documented additional concerns, including thermal observations and window/door deficiencies. The solar-heat issue also remained. Months after the sale, American Weathertechs told me that it does carry the type of Low-E coating/product that I had discussed at the point of sale. On August 5, the company proposed triple-pane inserts, but expected me to pay additional material costs. I asked for written performance specifications before agreeing to spend additional money. Instead, the company subsequently withdrew that proposal, refused further service and refused to return to finish the unresolved installation issues. They characterized the approximately $3,400 disputed balance as "bad debt," wrote it off to $0, and stated that my were void. . I have extensive emails, photographs, temperature documentation and an independent inspection report documenting my experience. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. After spending approximately $49,000 and spending roughly nine months trying to get these issues resolved, .
