The receptionist wasn't very friendly or welcoming. The lady who did my treatment was very nice. However, my skin is very sensitive and I left w burn rash looking marks under one of my eyes. My skin looks worse after leaving than when I got there lol. And my daughters too. I honestly did not expect management to reach out when I wrote the review, but I really appreciate that they did take care and value the clients to respond back. I spoke with Lilly and she handled everything with professionalism and care for their customers/clients. As mentioned in my previous review, I definitely would recommend Mila or Anna as your esthetician. I've also loved Raya spa when you need a deep cleaning facial, they know how to care for the skin. Thank goodness Raya re-opened and survived the pandemic closures, because I LOVE Raya! I recently found an unused gift card and thought perfect timing to use it for my birthday today. I booked a European facial and a micro-dermabrasion. My aesthetician was Marina and she was great. She recommended the oxygen treatment to follow the micro-dermabrasion and I was glad I went for it, I highly recommend it. The oxygen cools and calms your skin after the treatment. It's also great for summer, as an add-on to any facial. I learned that Spa facial is the one to book if you want to use the facilities, but as of today, facilities are still closed :( That said, I still highly recommend Raya Spa, it's worth the money, you will feel great after being pampered. SERVICE PROVIDED: Microdermabrasion + facial = costs $160 as of Saturday, 7/1/2023 (this does not include tip). HIGHLIGHTS: (1) After the microdermabrasion and facial, my skin felt incredibly soft. (2) I appreciated how Diana skillfully did the facial extractions. I have had facial extractions at other places and the esthetician has always left me with acne flare and extreme redness. Diana did not leave me like this. Yes, it was a little painful as extractions usually are, but my skin felt good and I was not bleeding or anticipating an acne post facial. (3) The microdermabrasion experience feels like a rough little vacuum on your face. TIP: If you're getting a facial and microdermabrasion done, I recommend wearing a loose or flexible top or dress that you can pull down to expose your neck and shoulders. LOCATION: Near La Cienega and Melrose PARKING: There's free parking in the back that I didn't know about it until after I had already paid for street metered parking. I had a great experience here. Great facial spa from a friends recommendation I got! Was looking for a place in the land of aesthetics and spas. This was mentioned as a well priced ($90 for an hour euro facial) and it was great! The facilities are large and parking was easy to find in front on the street. I was welcomed and walked upstairs to my appointment room, where I had Natasha. After looking she said I would benefit from microdermabrasion, which was an added $60 I agreed to. The facial was fantastic, so much care and effort in the (great) extractions, microdermabrasion and the mask that sits for about 15 minutes. Initially I was going to rate this business a 2-3 star but because of my post experience with Lilly, I've decided to give it a 4-star. Before Lilly reached out, I was going to not ever return albeit I've had a friend with amazing skin who recommended this place to me. To start, I was running late due to the usual LA crazy traffic for no reason. I kept them current with consistent updates about my eta because I wanted to be considerate and respectful of their schedule and other clients. By the time I arrived, for my first ever visit, I walked in, checked in then was met by the esthetician that was talking so fast that it made me feel unwelcome, she basically said that due to her schedule, I wouldn't be able to do a facial but I would do microdermabrasion instead which I told her my only skin concerns bc I was unsure if microdermabrasion would be good bc I was looking forward to a facial. Once we started it got more relaxed and I felt more welcome but microdermabrasion isn't so relaxing albeit it's been said to have benefits for some skin types Moreover, post treatment my skin was very upset and irritated. It was red, itchy and very dry. Because of my work, this was concerning. I reached out to the spa then a few hours later, Lilly reached out with solutions and had me come back in to check out my skin. This meant a lot bc I'll be on camera tmw so I can't afford a breakout bc of a skin treatment I didn't initially go in for. The front desk staff are polite but not super friendly but they do their job. Limited Parking is available in then back for free and there's limited meter parking up front. Would've loved to see more of the spa or have refreshments waiting after the service (water or etc) but that wasn't an option until I checked out, I asked for water and did receive it Overall, Lilly is an asset to this place and the epitome of what all people should be. I use their mint souffle daily to clean my face and I gotta tell you that it feels super clean afterward. Then I apply either their lemon water gel, silk serum, or glycolic gel . A little self-care never hurt anyone! My first time here was just last month, 01/26, for a facial treatment with Victoria. I got a great recommendation about her from a close friend. I've never got a professional facial before, and wanted something to help my dry skin and to treat myself. I wasn't interested in extraction so we went with the 24 Karat Gold Mask (price:$100). It includes cleansing, exfoliation with ultrasound, massage, oxygen treatment and the gold mask. It felt great! Victoria was knowledgeable about the products she is using and made sure to answer any questions I had about the procedure. Today I tried their waxing services, paid $47 for a bikini wax with Natasha. The waxing room is small and quiet. I was out the door in about 25 minutes :) Make sure you call them and make an appointment, because if you walk in without one, they may be booked for the entire day. Their location is great and I believe they get a lot of business, also because they offer many different type of services. Parking- I parked near the meter on the street but they offer one hour validated parking on 8500 Melrose Blvd (enter on La Cienega Blvd ). When I say that Raya is life changing, I'm not exaggerating. Raya is, without a doubt, the best spa I've ever been to. I've been to several dermatologists as well as plenty of high end, well-known spas, but my skin has never been better than since I started coming to Raya. And Natasha is the only one I trust with my skin! Natasha's facials are incredible. Not only are they so relaxing (Raya's environment and their rooms are perfectly set up so that you lose track of time and fully relax), but they're also so effective. She knows exactly which masks and treatments to use on my skin, she's consistent, and she also frequently checks in to make sure I'm doing okay and don't need a break during extractions. And not only is she amazing at what she does, but she's a total sweetheart. Truly the kindest professional out there. I go every couple months, I always request Natasha, and my skin has never been better. I also only use Raya skincare products nowadays. After just one session with her, Natasha knew what to recommend, and immediately put me on a cleanser, some serums, and some masks. It took a few more sessions and she added little things to my routine as she got to know me better, but I now have the perfect skincare routine and I couldn't be happier. (Believe me, I've tried every skincare product out there, all of the most expensive and popular products, but for me, Raya products are hands down the best.) I initially booked my appointment with a facial gift card for ONLY a facial and I made it very clear I was booking my appointment to redeem my facial gift card ONLY. However upon arrival I felt overall snobby attitude from the ladies at the front. They were also not transparent about pricing and how the gift card was exactly to be redeemed. They ended up adding on insane charges and I ended up leaving paying extra hundred even after my gift card was redeemed. I honestly left feeling ripped off. I've had way better quality experience elsewhere. the entire experience felt like they were just in a hurry trying to sell anything they could in time just to charge you. I have been going to Raya for years now , and I am so pleased by their services specially their facials . Also their deep tissue massages are just sensational . The Spa is very clean and relaxing. The music ambiance is super Zen. The staff is very friendly. I go to Karmela for my facial and Microtherapy and they also have those amazing lamps that lift your face .
