On my visit, I picked up ahi tuna, toro, salmon, and yellowtail sashimi, along with California rolls, tuna rolls, and salmon rolls. At first glance you'd think the business is still closed and waiting to be opened but you have to drive to the back of the parking lot to enter the establishment. I couldn't decide which sushi I wanted so I got a few. It's cute and small on the inside but it's easy to find what you need and it's easy to see what you'd like to buy the next time you go! I can't wait to go back. The only thing I didn't like was their spam musubi, but it's not the end of the world! The sushi is still something I'm going back for!

We ended up parking on Valley instead of parking in their small parking lot and then walked in. I am surprised that this market hasn't changed since my childhood, honestly the market doesn't look like it has remolded or changed. It's like a time capsule, frozen in time. I did end up finding that tea drink here and I was also really surprised how cheap a lot of the produce was, as compared to other Asian supermarkets. And as long as I am able to park on Valley, I think I would consider coming back here the next time I'm in the area.

What's interesting is that, on the right side of the entrance, there's a community bulletin board covered with personal ads. I wish I could understand them and participate, but alas, they're all in Chinese. Despite the narrow parking lot lanes outside, chaotic foot traffic and blaring bolero music inside, it attracts plenty of locals with its distinctive personality and unique selection of products.

What brought me so much joy is the fact that they sell fresh star apple for $10.99/lb, albeit expensive, but exists HERE!!! I bought a couple to try. I hope I am not gonna be disappointed, but, heck, it was worth a try no matter what. I didn't get to visit all the departments but will definitely return to check it out. I noticed Vietnamese goods, too. I am excited to know that it's about 5 minutes away from our new place! Plus, there's a myriad of places to check out for food & drinks.
