Went on a random Thursday afternoon, it was PACKED. Lots of produce, plenty of variety, great selection of snacks. They have fresh seafood and meat but they don't have fry/steam service.

11/22/25 Asian market in a plaza with dedicated parking shared with other businesses featuring competitive prices, friendly staff with a well organized & clean surroundings. Fresh produce & general supermarket items are well stocked & arranged in an organized manner. I needed a few more items to have available for our Airbnb to make it livable & sustainable for the next few months. The prices here are fair. Having gone to Wholedome Choice in Irvine-- their prices can't be beat. At the very least, this is closest & caters more to the Asian community. This is a good find & an alternative to 99 Ranch or Hmart. **** Of note, when I visited, it sure was really cold inside the market, I mean Brrrrr

Global Fresh Market in San Gabriel reminds me of an Asian version of Super King Market! Very affordable quality produce and meats to include specialty international items;therefore, this place is CROWDED! Get here early to avoid crowds? Idk. $1.99 for Rainer Cherries of great quality and Mangosteens at $6.99 per pound are what brought me here! Thank you Kristie Hang as seen on Eater LA , CNN, Yelp Elite for recommending us to this gem of a market. Plenty of Parking and friendly staff. Affordable prices for 2025!

There is a huge variety of imported Asian goods here! Service was fast and the store was very clean. It was so fun to browse through the aisles to see the many types of unique and tasty snacks, drinks, and other goods such as beauty that this location has. I haven't gotten anything that I disliked from this store as of yet, and will definitely visit again!

    Fresh, quality meat!

Craving homemade food, so I stopped by Global Fresh Market to get ingredients to make soup. Store is very clean and the staff are so very friendly and helpful, love that!! The store is located on a large lot w ample parking. I bought some beef shank, baby bok choy (apparently, its called Shanghai bok choy in this area), tomatoes, green beans, taro, and tamarind paste to make Sinigang (tamarind soup). The beef was very good quality and the vegetables were so fresh. My soup came out delicious!! A lot of the vegetables are slightly priced lower than other supermarkets in the area. Baby bok choy was only $0.98 cents/lb. Overall, highly recommend!! The friendly staff and lower prices are what keeps me coming back here!!

The front door from parking lot

The market is very big, full of different kinds of foodstuffs. Prices are very good, many choices. I strongly recommend. Big parking lot.

My new favorite Chinese supermarket in SGV. Veggies and meats are fresh. I feel like it's slightly cheaper than other supermarket. I bought the Napa for 28cents per pound. I've never seen it so affordable before. I'd go out of my way to come back here! Highly recommend

These guys be unloading live fish from trucks parked on a major boulevard into a trash bin and rolling them into the back of the market. They be dropping fish on the sidewalk and street, picking them back up and bringing them to the back of the market. The smell is absolutely disgusting.

Do not assume that something will have the same taste and texture as what you remember from hometown just because it looks similar. I once bought frozen razor clams that turned out to be chewy, smelly, and almost impossible to chew. Another time, I bought a bag of frozen green mussels. They had exactly the same shape and color as the ones I usually bought from Chinese markets, but they were not cooked. Once defrosted, they practically melted into water. Vietnamese markets also sell many kinds of fish by weight. Most of them are good, but you need real experience when buying raw seafood. Otherwise, it is very easy to waste money. Thuan Phat is a typical Vietnamese market in this sense. You can get most of the ingredients a Chinese family needs. Their fried or dried pork skin is actually much better than what I have found in most Chinese grocery stores. But again, only buy what you know. You need to know the quality, and you need to know how to process it. This Thuan Phat also has several tanks and a full seafood counter for live seafood, including crabs, tilapia, and other fish. It's basically two shish-kebab style sticks of seasoned swordfish, peppers, and tomatoes, and it's served with a few sides in addition to fried veggies and shrimp. I also really enjoy their tacos.
