My 22 yr old daughter got a new puppy and it was having bloody diarrhea and vomiting so of course she was taking her to "our" family vet. Needless to say she left in tears after she was treated so rudely, belittled and left to feel dumb by Dixie and the front desk staff. They had no empathy at all in regards to the sick puppy. They were more concerned about making sure she knew it was going to cost $250 for a new client and she needed vaccine records. I'm not sure what is going on with this pet hospital but it definitely is lacking empathy for clients w sick animals. I am sure the Doctors there would not be happy with how the front desk staff is treating clients/potential clients.

Worst place I have ever been to. My dog had his ear hematoma drained there late last month, today…read morehe was getting the drainage tube removed and without warning Dr Gower ripped my dog's ear tube out causing my dog to scream because of the pain. He didn't even attempt to reassure my dog nor me that what he just did was fine, there was no discussion beforehand that this was what he was going to do to my dog. Pain meds were not offered either, just simply be on your way. He's an incredibly cold and unwelcoming person, and the lack of care and informed consent is appalling. They don't tend to offer pain meds nor antibiotics for after surgery either, at least none was offered when my dog initially had the tube put in. No care instructions were given at pick up either, we had to call back to make sure what to do. And when the edge of the tube in his ear started cutting into him only then did they finally give us something for him, but they didn't do anything to prevent it from continuing to cut into him. In fact the vet originally just brushed it off as being the drainage hole when it clearly wasn't. I had to take my dog to a different vet clinic shortly after the tube got ripped out to make sure he was going to actually be okay. And the vet there agreed it shouldn't have been handled like this. And unlike this clinic they constantly reassured my dog the entire time while they looked at his ear, making sure he was comfortable and cared for properly. Which because of how he was handled here, he was very nervous about people around his ear now when he never was before. They also gave us pain meds unlike here. This isn't even that much of an ask, this is standard care. Which thank you Vetco total care in Blue springs for actually caring about the animals they're trusted with. If you value your dogs comfort and health, don't go here. Even if they solve the initial problem they'll just end up making things worse and do nothing to fix it. If you have concerns they brush you off.

Dr Miller was able to see him on an urgent-care basis the day we brought him in, and after talking with us about the options, agreed that we could bring him home for one last night of care and love in a familiar environment. When we called the next morning, Debbie was able to give us an appointment within the hour to bring him in for euthanizing. Both Debbie and Dr Stewart were SO kind, and SO gentle, ensuring that they handled Harry as painlessly as possible, and giving him an injection to completely relax him before giving him the lethal injection. We were able to be with him the entire time, and petted him and told him what a good kitty he was, and that meant a lot to us. Many, MANY thanks to everyone at Rockhill for taking such superb care of not only our pets but their owners as well. We are SO grateful for all of you!

Easily the worst vet experience we've had in the 14 years of taking care of my dog. This clinic is…read more100% complacency, 0% compassion. This was our first and last visit here. Dr. Stuart was 20 minutes late to our appointment and made several comments about "how voluminous" my dog's medical records were, indicating that she didn't bother reading much of it. Her lack of attention to detail was solidified shortly after when she couldn't even get my dog's gender right and made erroneous remarks to his previous records. My wife and I got the impression she was simply spouting off random points she skimmed over, and that she had no real semblance of our dog's medical history. We ended up leaving our dog there to get X-rays done, which was the biggest mistake. He came out of the vet MUCH worse than when he went in. I had to do my own research to learn that dogs have to be held in uncomfortable positions during X-rays and can even need sedation to make the process smoother. NO ONE at this clinic mentioned anything about the X-ray process. Every attempt to talk about it was instantly met with deflection and generic customer service responses. I don't know how many times random people at this clinic would just say "oh he did great. I heard he did great!" For starters, what does "great" even mean? Secondly, I've cared for this dog since he was 1 day old, and even he grumbles at me when I pick him up. I find it hard to believe that he just did "great." Furthermore, those comments quickly turned into "oh well he may be a bit sore. Well um they did say they had to give him plenty of breaks." One worker there, Debby, deflected so much that she had the gall to say "we'll get the results in and see if that tells us where there might be an issue. And that might explain some of what you're seeing." Well guess what, the results are in and they mentioned ZERO issues with his bone structure or arthritis. All we know is he went in walking fine, and afterwards he couldn't stay standing for more than 10 seconds. And of course when I brought up that comment to Dr. Stuart over the phone, she coincidentally couldn't hear me anymore. They still refuse to acknowledge or divulge ANY detail that happened during the X-rays other than "he did great." Absolute joke of a clinic. They don't care about your pets, only your money. The grand total for our mistake was $1127.75, don't let it happen to you or any pet you care about.

In the heartbreaking days following his death, I heard nothing from the clinic. No word, no email, no card, no sympathy, no acknowledgment of his death whatsoever. Even when the clinic contacted me to let me know his ashes were ready to be picked up, there was not a single offer of condolence or even a simple, "I'm sorry." Nothing. Literally with his ashes! The absence of even the most basic expression of sympathy was hurtful and frankly shameful. I would never have expected such indifference from a veterinary clinic, especially one that had cared for my pets for decades. As awful as the indifference to my pet's end of life was, Dr. Benschoter has always been exceptional in caring for my Cavaliers, as have Dr. Tate and Dr. Sam. Makes my experience even more bewildering.

After a stressful and scary weekend where he had bloody diarrhea and vomiting along with continued hives, we finally saw a great vet in an ER who gave us IM steroid and Benadryl to break the cycle and a steroid taper. He said he never gives just Benadryl for hives like what our dog got. In addition, there is no after hours number to call at this clinic- you're completely on your own. We spent $600 to take care of the reaction from a $20 vaccine since this clinic did not have the appropriate knowledge to treat a common reaction.

I went with a friend a year ago when their dog needed annual shots and was impressed with the staff because the dog is quite temperamental and is extremely difficult with new people. So I booked Fritz's annual appointment and we were on our way. The lobby is quite large which I like because it makes check in and filling out paperwork easier especially if there are multiple animals waiting on rooms or to be seen. Check in was easy and they were super prompt in getting us into a room. The room was also spotless. Everything was very clean in the facility. The Tech and the Vet who saw Fritz were both very patient and friendly. Fritz is a bit nervous around new people but they fed him plenty of treats and he thawed a bit. The staff was in no rush and were attentive, receptive to any questions or concerns, and most importantly to me-patient with the animal they were tending to. My other doggo Sam will be needing shots in the next month or so and I will definitely be returning.
