Ray was my mechanic for years, but I just found out that he retired in 2021. I found this out after I took my truck in for brake work. I left with a large bill and the same brake problem. A friend had mentioned having a great experience with Ray's so I was very hopeful. However, they were extremely rude on the phone when I called to inquire about services -- called to ask if they would let me bring in my own parts, as my friend had and they essentially laughed in my face, even though my friend had done the same thing less than a year ago. Then, when I asked them for a quote using their parts, they quoted me a range $100-$200 higher than other mechanics. Ray is awesome! Found his shop just Googling, saw the good reviews and gave him a shot. First of all, he's awesome. Super friendly, sits down and talks to you, just a very personable guy all around and it's completely genuine. He never once tried to talk me into getting anything done that I didn't need (I've been there like 20x in the past couple months - and I'm a girl). His prices are super reasonable (I think so, anyway.. I swear I would've paid an arm and a leg elsewhere).. Unfortunately I moved, but I'll never find such an honest, friendly, reliable mechanic.. ever. I know this for a fact. I went to Ray's because my car wouldn't start sporadically and was told I could need a transmission flush, new water pump / timing belt (possibly), and new alternator. Ray replaced the alternator and did the transmission flush ... well that didn't lasted long and my car was back to not starting again. It was then suggested the battery needed to be replace .... I did that too and that lasted for a couple of days. After 2 tow trucks expense, a new alternator, and transmission flush my car still was not working properly. I found another mechanic (Reds and Sons Auto Repair) which diagnosed my problem as an electrical issue. It turned out to be a wire going bad that drained the battery. It seems like Ray is in the business of just replacing parts and not fixing the real problem. I've wasted so much money there for the fix to be much cheaper. read more

This may be only one of two car shops in my whole life that I've been to where I trust this guy completely. This little lady can get taken advantage of when it comes to cars but not here! Highly recommend this repair shop for anyone, but especially for those who dread taking there car to the shop for that reason.
