BUYER BEWARE!! My senior citizen friend, low income went to him to get a car inspection sticker. Richard told her she has to buy 4 tires from him at the price of $500.00 to get her inspection completed! Also, he quoted a separate problem with the power steering line hose at another $540.00!! Also, she had a morning appointment and he made her wait until late afternoon. (We went to get another opinion from a different mechanic. Without saying anything he said the tires were in "good" condition and never mentioned that the tires had anything to do with the inspection. ) This other mechanic quoted the power steering hose, the pump, the brake fluid, labor, inspection, for $600.00. No one should be taken advantage of no matter what age, income scale, male, female. This may not be legal that he lumped the tires sale into her getting her car inspection sticker?!?!?!!?!?! read more

We were visiting PA from out of state, and, on our way back, found that one of our tires was losing significant pressure. We checked a few gas stations with no luck. Like another reviewer, I had a bad experience here when I went to get my car inspected. The owner Richard told me I needed to buy four new tires for my well-maintained Toyota before they would pass me. I was very surprised and told them I wanted to get a second opinion, given that the tires were in good shape and had ample tread. I took my car to another mechanic who measured the tread and carefully inspected the tires and declared all four of them to be fine. My car passed inspection with no problem. The mechanic shook his head when I told him my story. So while I may be a single, silver-haired lady, I am not a naive. Please be careful of this garage attempting to sell you tires before they will pass your inspection. read more

I never expected to received service like this, I was stranded two hours away from home at my place of work and contact Richard after three other mechanic calls. I had been to Richards around Christmas time to get it serviced and inspected. I also needed new brakes and rotors and got those too. I have a Mercedes and he went to the Mercedes dealership to get the parts. I was very happy with my service. Then yesterday I got a flat tire. I called AAA to have the spare put on. I called Richards to inquire about where to buy tires around here since I am new to the area. He said he had tires and that he would come and help me himself. I waited two hours for AAA and called Richard back. He came right over and put the spare on so I could drive to the shop. I needed all new tires and got them. I had my three year old son with me and Richard brought out pretzels and crackers for my son and I to eat. (since we had been waiting so long for AAA and never got lunch) And then he brought us bottled water. I cannot tell you how happy I was with the service I received. It is unheard of these days for a shop owner to personally come out and help with a flat tire. I also need some more work done on my car as reccomended by the Mercedes dealership and am having it done at Richards. He has a Mercedes Mechanic who works there two days a week. Richard offered to drive me home after I drop my car off on Friday and pick me up on Saturday to come and get my car. Again, it is so rare in this day and age to get such great service.
