This place got good reviews and we were stopping here for the night so decided to try it out. The…read morereviews said it was BYOB so we stopped on the way for a bottle of Cab. But then on the menu they had both beer and wine. Hmmm.... The gal at the hostess stand was very nice and struck up a conversation with us when we arrived and when we paid our bill. Alineth was our server and was also very pleasant and was good about giving us recommendations. Menu prices are very reasonable. They immediately brought us a basket of garlic dinner rolls that were warm and delicious. My only complaint was it was just the two of us and we were given a huge basket of 9 hamburger-bun-sized rolls. We both agreed it was a bit wasteful and there were quite a few tables of two that only ate 1, maybe 2 leaving at least 5 to be tossed. Our entrees came with salads and they were fresh with yummy croutons and tasty dressing. Hubby ordered the trio (lasagna, chicken parm and fettuccini alfredo). Huge portions but he said it he only found two bites of lasagna and it was buried in the fettuccini noodles of the chicken parm on one side and alfredo on the other. The chicken was hard to find as it was buried under a lot of cheese. The sauce was tomatoey but not much flavor otherwise. Wishing for a red pepper flake or something. I had a shrimp and scallop dish the my server recommended because I asked for something spicy. I saw it had red peppers but it was not the flakes, it was red bell peppers. Again the portion was huge and both entrees were nice and hot. In the end we wish there was a bit more flavor in each dish. We ended the evening with the lemoncello cake - delicious! The restaurant was decorated really nice and was cozy and clean. A couple serving issues: we brought a bottle of wine with us and it took 3 requests to finally get a corkscrew. Never once were the dishes removed from the table. We had to push our salad dishes off to the side to make room for our entrees, we even told her we were done with the salads and enjoyed them. Keep in mind we also still had the huge basket of bread. And then when our cake came out she watched us stack plates and make room for it and never removed a single dish. The atmosphere and wine were nice after a long day of driving...we were hoping for better overall dining experience.

We had two servers and we were well taken care of. Spacious, can accommodate large parties and the restaurant was full on a Tuesday evening!

Lack of options for pescatarians or vegetarians or anyone with a shrimp allergy…read more Waitstaff and hostesses have serious lack of awareness of needs of customers and would constantly interrupt intimate and private conversations to be pushy about ordering, asking for menus, asking about drink refills or if we needed something when we just got drinks or just got food and drinks. The server was also rude when my husband got his steak and kept trying to insist on her cutting into my husband's steak herself to check to see if it was properly cooked to his requested temperature when she wasn't wearing any gloves and we had just watched her finally clear several truly disgusting tables covered in gross leftover food that had been left out for almost an hour while she and the hostess kept pestering us and interrupting our conversation. When my husband said he would cut into his own steak, instead of her doing so with her unwashed dirty hands, she had the audacity to roll her eyes. The only true option for me on the menu was the caprese salad, which included 4 of the smallest basil leaves I've ever seen, 6 thin slices of mozzarella, and 5 slices of tomato that didn't even add up to have of a large tomato, drizzled with balsamic with a side of more Italian dressing than I had food that cost me $15. My husband ordered an $11 glass of Villa M Moscato and was brought a gigantic wine glass but was poured less than half a glass of wine. He ordered a steak, medium rare, and received a steak smaller than my tiny palm, likely 4-5oz, that was closer to rare, with 2 asparagus, 1/3 cup mashed potatoes (very dry), and a "mixed salad" of 1/4 cup greens with 4 cherry tomatoes and the same large side of Italian dressing that I received. Even our water glasses were tiny and close to 6 oz. We received barely any food and felt rushed and like they didn't want us there, despite having a reservation hours before closing and being sat in an almost empty back room, and paid $80 post tax and tip to leave hungry and annoyed. Will definitely never go back and 0/10 highly do NOT recommend to anyone who likes food or to feel welcomed where they are going to eat or spend money.
