Passing thru while traveling. Was told this is a great place for lunch. First impression is an old run down bar. Don't let this scare you away. Inside we were greeted openly by our server. Pretty much a bar with all the 60's looking trimmings. Menu on the wall. Lunch is just Burgers. Dinner menu is a little more diverse. So we had burgers. I had the bacon cheese burger. What a great burger. Others in group had other burgers and lived them. You get home cut fries or coleslaw for a side. Place was busy with everyone eating burgers. Nothing fancy, but clean and great service. Recommend to all. Great find!

This is been my go to place since I was a kid traveling back-and-forth between Colorado and California. Burger was good the fries were on point. Great place better customer service and cold beer! You have to read the t shirts on the wall and look around. Cool place

Good food. Good service. It is a tavern so you may hear the fbomb being dropped. When we were there it was every other sentence. But after all we were in his habitat. Really good ranch dressing. Fries were yummy and fresh. I had the pork chop, it was thicker than I expected. Very good with perfect criss cross grill marks. Husband had the bacon cheese burger and said it was really good.

This place is a solid 3 stars. Service was meh. I think it's because I had 3 kids with me and Utah is weird about that for some reason. The steak was cooked perfectly but not seasoned at all. This place is a bar that serves food so I didn't expect much but the steak being seasoned would have been great.

Headed to Price UT for work and decided to try this place. I am so glad I did! One of the best cheeseburgers I've had!

Green River, Utah Not too many places to choose from in town of 900 people. It was either this or another restaurant. I wanted a good draft beer so I came to this local hangout. They have about 10 draft beers. Glasses are chilled and it makes for a refreshing taste on a warm day. They have Squatters craft beers. I went with the dark and was not disappointed. Very smooth. I have posted the menu, which is simple. Every table in here has ordered a burger. I chose a grilled chicken sandwich. My companion chose a cheeseburger. The food comes quickly, and hot off the grill. My chicken breast was filleted and was very large. Actually went over the bun. I cut the chicken in half and doubled up to make it fit on my bun. It is accompanied with chopped lettuce, a few dill, pickles, tomato, and a very large slice of onion. All of this comes on the side without request. The french fries are fresh cut potatoes. They seemed greasy and not fully cut. They were limp, but still tasted fine. The 1/2 pound burger was decent size and tasted good. It too was cooked over the grill. And served hot. They bring a chilled bottle of fry sauce to the table. It is delicious. My guess is that it's just mayonnaise and ketchup, but the consistency is perfect. Although the place is a bar, it is quiet and the noise is controlled for a Tuesday evening.

This place is the "real deal" offering great friendly service in a lively atmosphere that is clearly a prime source of energy for an otherwise small town. We were a bit tired from another day on our road trip, so we opted to pick up food to take back to our hotel. We stopped in and placed our order, then hung out at the bar to watch the entertainment of a lively group of locals and tourists having fun, and a good number of workers hustling to keep everyone well taken care of. The casual and fun environment actually made me wish we were dining in rather than getting our food to go! The service was top-notch, with nobody slacking off even the tiniest bit. They are clearly focused on making sure customers don't have to wait for anything, even when things get super busy. The food was perfectly fine, though certainly nothing to write home about. But to me the fun atmosphere and great service more than make up for basic food. It felt like being at a backyard barbecue, but with the benefit of a roof and air conditioning, and with amazing service keeping up with everything. I would most certainly stop in again if I were passing through town again. I wouldn't even bother trying to find anywhere with better food, because this place was really the "real deal".

Ray's Tavern is badass! Thursday night and the joint is hopping. Couples roll up in pickum up trucks, SUV's and a few vintage cars. No need to dress up, come as you are. Ray's Tavern is casual and comfortable. Burgers take the lead but they also offer steaks, chicken and even salad. Service is fantastic, fast and with outstanding attitude. Why only 4 stars for this badass establishment? The fries are limp. Yes limp, undercooked! Crunch the fries up and receive 5 stars. Will we be back? Without a doubt! It did take me 63 years to get to Green River but knowing Ray's Tavern anchors this part of the country, we will be back. See you soon Ray. But please, practice getting the fries crispy.

Teriyaki chicken with fries and bread. Weird combination but surprisingly tasty!

If you're going by Green River, plan for a meal at Ray's. One of the top five burgers I've ever had.

Moab is notorious for its predictable, shallow tourist traps that roll out the same uninspired menus to captive crowds, so skipping the main drag nonsense for Proper Brewing felt like the right call. It is a bit of a quirky setup inside. The decor hits you as slightly odd and dated right off the bat, giving off an old-school aesthetic that does not quite line up with modern taproom minimalism, but it functions well enough when you just need to cool down. The service was a bit on the spotty side and carried a rather peculiar vibe, though the kitchen and the bar kept things moving quickly enough for a shorter visit. The real saving grace here lives in the taps and the coolers. Finding a spot in this town that treats classic styles with genuine respect is a rarity. The SLC Pils is incredibly clean with a crisp, snappy noble hop finish that immediately cuts through the midday heat. We leaned into the hoppier side of the list with the Concerning Hops, a beautifully simple and dank West Coast IPA, and the Leisurebrau, which kept the clean drinking streak alive. For something a bit more aromatic, the Blizzard Wizzard held its own, but the standout for me was the Yacht Rock Juice Box. It brings a great tropical, hazy profile that does not fall into that sticky, cloying sweetness trap that ruins so many modern versions of the style. Before heading out, hitting their to-go section is an absolute necessity. They have a killer selection of tall boys ready to go, which is exactly what you want when stocking up for whatever adventure waits just beyond the town limits. We kept the food order simple and focused on the appetizer menu to fuel up after swimming. The Proper Nachos arrived fully loaded with all the standard fixings, including a decent avocado spread and pickled jalapeños. Honestly, they were completely fine, just your textbook, dependable bar nachos that hit the salty craving without reinventing the wheel. The Proper Poutine stepped things up a bit with a rich brown gravy and real cheese curds, layered with an unexpected hit of herbed cream cheese and bacon that added some serious depth to the plate. Dessert, however, turned into a tale of two completely different kitchens. Skip the banana split entirely. They make it with vanilla soft serve instead of traditional hard scoops, which just feels weirdly cheap and results in a melted, sloppy texture before the dish even settles on the table. Truth be told, you need to redirect that attention entirely to the bread pudding. It features chunks of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups baked right into a warm, dense, incredibly rich base, finished with caramel and whipped cream. It is absolutely excellent and easily salvaged the sweet portion of the meal. Even with the quirky atmosphere and the eccentric service, the quality of the beer and the standout dishes make this one of the absolute best options in the area. I would easily drop back in next time I am rolling through Moab.

If you like crunchy fries, this place nails them. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the space is huge-half of it is set up as a restaurant, while the other side is considered a pub, where you can order drinks without food. Since we were hungry, we ordered food anyway. The bartender was friendly and attentive, and the hostess even brought Luna a treat, which made her day. We stayed inside so Luna could cool off before heading to Arches National Park. The only downside for me was the margarita, which was far too sour for my taste. Still, the overall vibe, great fries, and pet-friendly attitude made this a solid stop in Moab.
