Preferred the Kokopelli Chicken Sandwich, got a Chicken Breast between two slices of Toast that was just a sloppy mess. Took one bite of a Soggy Sammy! Moved onto the Onion Rings which were drenched in Hot Grease Dripping all over and burning my fingers! Decided that this was not edible and would try something else. While I am looking at the menu, the Owner or Cook walks over with an Attitude and gives me shit about not liking his cooking! Thought I was in Bar Rescue here! What a Douche Bag! We were staying next door and came here at night to grab some ice cream. It can be crazy hectic, as the ice cream counter is up front where folks are waiting for a table and staff are scurrying back and forth. It provides a very classic diner experience. The coffee and the food are really good. I'd definitely eat here again if I ever find myself back in Moab. Our waiter was pleasant, but not very attentive. My husband got a burger and my son got a chicken sandwich. They said they were ok. I got the fish. Quite honestly, this should be taken off the menu. Really cute classic diner in the heart of Moab's downtown neighborhood! The character of this place is very retro and old school, with traditional diner offerings like a full breakfast menu, burgers, shakes and malts. We went in for breakfast and I ordered the chorizo Sweetwater skillet, which was delectably spiced and filling. I also ordered a coffee malt and it HIT THE SPOT. You can order any ice cream flavor as a shake or malt, and it's a wonderful place to bring the whole family as a stop on your trip to beautiful Moab. The only downside was my friend's biscuits and gravy, which came out cold. Our service was prompt and friendly! It was so incredibly busy when we were there, but the staff were so efficient at getting everything done while still staying friendly. Food was pretty good. Their smothered burrito is MASSIVE and COVERED in chili sauce with a good amount of steak... Tasty. And it came with a side of taquitos and rice. Pretty good for $16. Also got the Diner French Dip ... it was also good and came with a surprisingly good side salad. Good dessert options. Their banana split is plenty to share between two or three people and super delicious. If you think of stereotypically good diner food, this is where it's at. Big portions at reasonable prices. Not a fan of this but if you like such a thing, this is your spot Second time we ordered chicken fajita salad and green chili chicken plate. This by far was our favorite meal at Moab Diner! 3rd time ordered chicken fried steak. While this is a big portion, in our experience with chicken fried steak, there is a batter and then fried.
