After several days in Utah and being extremely disappointed by literally everywhere we went out to eat, we figured we would give this place a try on our last day. We definitely saved the best for last! We were cold and tired from hiking and just wanted a nice comforting meal. We started with the breaded cheese curds. We are suckers for fried cheese and we thought these were pretty solid. My husband got the tapenade and salami sandwich, which he rudely didn't share, meaning it was good. I got the Reuben that I also didn't share, meaning it was good. We were each happy with our meals and portions. The ambiance was lively and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Shoutout to the hostess that let me take multiple pieces of candy from the bowl. Overall we had a great experience. Discovered this place through Yelp. Sat in the cute bar area. Service was attentive and friendly. Our server answered all of our questions and was great at suggestions and following up. Ordered the poutine and Hot Trails burger. The burger was definitely the winner in taste and spice. We ordered it with sweet potatoes waffle fries, which were hot and crispy. From the scratch food, the staff to the patrons, we had a great experience here at Trailhead. When we walked in, the host, Gus, who I believe old be the owner or manager was super friendly and looked for a spot at the bar for us. We sat at the bar where Brennon was our bartender. He was very friendly and offered some great suggestions the menu. We started with dirty martinis. He made a proper dirty martini with rinsing the glass with vermouth then pouring the shaker. Some establishments add too much vermouth. He also made them ice cold. Perfect. We also ordered a Moscow mule and glass of wine. The Moscow mule was tasty. Unfortunately we weren't super hungry so we ordered small bites but everything was tasty and Brennon said everything was made by scratch. We started with the buffalo wings. Wow, I've never had more tender, juicy wings in my life. They could have been more crispy for my taste as the skin was a little mushy but nonetheless they were very tasty. We also ordered a cup of cream and tomato jalapeño soup and a cup of pulled pork green chili soup. Both were delicious. We wanted to order so much more but we couldn't! 4.5 stars definitely loved this place! Keep in mind it's usually very busy so plan to get there at least 20 ish minutes before you want to actually eat so you can get on the waitlist! The hours were very confusing because the posted hours online and the posted in the window don match. We thought they would be closed and were so sad but then they were actually open so just keep that in mind also! We each got a bison burger and sweet potato fries they were so insanely good! Highly recommend this place. They are incredibly fast at getting the food out to you as well. We ordered a Reuben and a Tapenade and Salami sandwich, both with house cut fries. First of all, the portions were extremely generous. Secondly, the quality and taste of both were excellent. What stands out on the Reuben is the corned beef is not processed it's more of a shredded consistency. The sauerkraut is homemade therefore it is crisp and fresh tasting. The bread is a marble rye with great flavor and texture. My wife said it was the best Reuben she has ever had! The Tapenade and Salami sandwich was a flavor explosion and the rosemary and garlic grilled flat bread was tasty and light. The fries were fresh and wonderful. We honestly could have split a meal but then we would've missed out on one of the items described here! The table next to us split a Reuben and sweet potato waffle fries and they couldn't help but tell us how much they enjoyed it along with a side of coleslaw. Our server was attentive and friendly. This place is right on main street so easy to find. There was not much parking around it but it is a small town so park anywhere and walk. They have seating upstairs but not much downstairs so if you can't climb you might have to wait. The staff was friendly but didn't check on us till we were finished. It is nice inside with a rustic feel. I ordered a special with pulled pork and pineapple which I liked but it was a bit dry. The wife had the club which she enjoyed but thought they could have toasted the bread more. The tots were not as crispy as we like either. We were spending a few days in Moab and saw reviews and had to check it out. The building itself screams history but it is updated and comfortable inside. We were quickly seated upstairs and our server arrived promptly. I ordered a Reuben with fries and my husband got one of the burgers. The food was quickly delivered and portions are huge! The corned beef on the Reuben was delicious...obviously cooked on site, no shaved deli meat here! The pickles on it threw me off a bit but easily removed. It was all that was promised. Personally I like a little mustard with the 1000 island dressing but that's just me. My husband's burger was apparently good...he was not offering a taste of it! DELICIOUS burger! One of the best I've had. Hand cut fries with a perfectly juicy, seasoned, fresh formed patty. My husband had the buffalo burger and said it was great! I love that they have a local, rotating kombucha on tap. Not a big beer selection on tap, but a wide variety of different drinks and spirits. The menu is full of hearty comfort food, and they even have a dedicated dog menu, which was a huge plus for us. Luna enjoyed her Patty Pooch Plate (we skipped the bread for her), and she was thrilled to be included. For drinks, I tried the Gin Rita--a refreshing mix of gin, lime, and a salted rim--while my husband had an 805 on draft. For food, we shared the Chipotle Pulled Pork Burrito, stuffed with pulled pork, cheddar cheese, refried beans, diced onions, and sour cream, served with chips and salsa. It was a filling, flavorful meal, and the total came to about $47 before tip. The only drawback was the pet-friendly seating. After a day of sightseeing in Arches National Park, we chose this restaurant for lunch. We found it easily on the main street of Moab across from the food truck park. It was lunch time and the place was packed but we were able to get a table for two in the window which we enjoyed very much for people watching. We ordered iced tea as we were parched even though there is a full-service bar and lots of beers and we decided to share the French dip beef sandwich made from steak which looked really good, covered in onions and cheese and served with a pile of homemade french fries, not frozen, fresh cut french fries. You can always tell the difference. Our waitress was attentive even though there were several large tables close by. The restaurant even though The sign said established in 2020 is decorated in an old style desert western bar, lots to look at and enjoy. Old wooden floors and tables. After lunch we declined the traditional bread pudding which is their signature dessert because we were quite full and decided to take a little walk. Across the street are a couple of gelato restaurants and the food truck park is right down the road which we did try the next day. There is a small parking lot off the street behind the restaurant and there is street parking if you can find a space! Moab is a wonderful little town with tons of places to eat and drink. It is clean and neat and well taken care of and of course Arches, Canyonlands, all the parks around and the four wheeling make it a perfect vacation spot. read more

Many things they could improve. Its lovely place, they made party of 8 with 4 kids sit upstairs. AC was blasting that we had to ask to lower 3 times but no action. My only complaint is that the bacon was not crispy at all, very fatty. The fries were the kind with a bit of skin still on them and crispy. Very good fries. But the star of the meal (no pic because we ate it later that evening) was the bread pudding. It was lemon and raspberry. The restaurant is pretty busy on any given night and they do not take reservations- so arrive early or expect a wait. We were seated and given menus right away but it took about 13 minutes for the waitress to come by. I ordered the Pork Green Chili Poutine but ended up taking it to go. Flavor wise the poutine was great there wasn't that much pulled pork but ok. Also the fries were slightly soggy which makes me think they were sitting for a bit. Overall trailhead is pretty good. I get it's more geared for tourists visiting the parks but I had high hopes and thought It would've been more of a "local" hangout. read more

We were deciding between Trailhead Public House and Spitfire Smokehouse. We ended on Trailhead because it seemed to have more options. We put our name down at maybe 6:40pm, for first available seating, and were told it'd be about 20-25 minutes. About 40 minutes go by and there were a bunch of parties of 2 and 3 going in ahead of us (we were a group of 4). I went inside and asked about the wait. They apologized and noted how busy they were. About a minute later, they called our name. Walking through the downstairs, you can see the staff busily moving around. We were lead upstairs and I see a couple of guys working quickly to clean off a table for us where another group just left. We sat down and our server (Cristian I think) came and asked for our drink order. We also asked to order our food since we had plenty of time to look at the menu. We got the Tavern Wings with the whiskey bbq sauce, Fish and Chips, Taco Bowl with steak, and a kids cheeseburger. Food didn't take long to come out. The whiskey bbq on the wings were a bit on the ketchupy side, and the taco bowl steak was more like cheesesteak (I guess I was expecting thick slices of meat), but overall the food was good.
