    Those scheduling appointments and sitting at the front end desks Both boynton East and west Not pleasant at all. Absolutely not pleasant. And no one ever answers the phone to schedule. New system. Understandable. But very very uncomfortable for all. Looking for other imaging options because this was not my only challenge. I've been going there since before they were them. There are. Many other options.

    There was a line out the door to check in. I was given a tablet that took forever to upload. After Waiting :45 for a test I went up to the register and asked how much longer it will be. I was told the wait was an hour longer. I showed the woman at the checking counter that I was wearing a bathing suit underneath my clothing and left my family at the pool I needed to reschedule. I'm disappointed that if I wasn't on time, I would be charged $50; but if they're not on time ...

    Got to say I'm very upset made and appointment over 3 weeks for today may 13th for a malignant neoplasm of prostate my appointment was for 6:10 after waiting 30 minutes I'm called for cat scan so I thought they gave me an mri lower spin I just tested positive for prostate cancer and waited 3 weeks for my appointment never again. Besides they always ask me for a co pay which I don't have, I have united healthcare dual plan which they should know by now, but I always explain Jayden toke great care off me just wish they would upgrade my status so I would not have to keep telling them the same thing. But it really doesn't matter I will find another radiology to go to I have insurance to go anywhere I want. It won't be Rayus

Originally, I booked two appointments for my mom one after the other because her mobility is limited. I was never told that my mom needed to fast for either test. Then someone called me on Saturday night to confirm the appointment and mentioned fasting. The appointment was for 11:00 because fasting was never mentioned. I then changed this appointment for 7:30am. That is when the scheduler said that my mom could not have both tests on the same day. After a nuclear test, she needed 48 to clear the stuff out of her system. So I made the second appointment for two days later. Mind you, I had driven 3 hours to be with my mom and having appointments two days apart was a great inconvenience for me and my mom, who has trouble with mobility. I then got mom to her first appointment and was told that both tests could have been done on the same day. I was given the wrong information. So I went to the front desk and asked about changing the appointment for the following day (they were booked for the rests of that day). I then had to shlep my mom back in the pouring rain to get her second test. The worst part is that she became confused and was convinced that she took the wrong test. Your schedulers need to get their act together and know what they are talking about. As for wait time, we hardly had to wait at all - so that is a positive.

Considering it's for my heart it is disconcerting that no one has reached out or signed my results to the doctor. This is uncalled for something that is considered urgent!!! The staff are efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. At all four appointments we were called a couple days ahead to explain our copay, then sent reminders, at least twice, then taken ahead of schedule at each visit. Pretty impressive. My last appointment was for an MRI where I needed an IV to administer a dye. I have an emotional reaction to IV's where I often pass out. I told Claudia and Joe (the technicians). They handled it flawlessly. You could not even see a needle mark the next day. They thought it was no big deal. Believe me, it was.

This was at 6080 Boynton Beach Blvd. They called me just before I got back home and tried to make it look as though it was *my* fault for not complaining to them at the front desk before leaving. Wrong. There were people in line at the front desk, and I had already seen them shoo away other patients who tried to approach with questions after checking in. BOTTOM LINE: They're making way more appointments than they have the capacity to service. Also, there is no way to file a complaint by telephone with them. Call their number and you get the infamous "our menu options have changed" greeting, but none of those options involve feedback on their service (or lack thereof).

There was barely any place to sit. The ladies at the front desk were pretty nice signed in and waited about15 minutes to get my paper and insurance information put into the system. Even though the front room was packed patients were going out very quickly. When it was my turn the technician was really really nice. She took me to a locker room area explain that I need take anything with metal in it off and to lock all my personal belongings in the locker and come into the next room when I was ready. She provided me with a clean blanket just in case I get cold. The testing took about 30 minutes. When she was done she explain to me how long it was going to take for my doctor to receive the results and what to expect. And that was it. They keep really late hours. They're open from 7 a.m. in the morning to 11 p.m. at night. I think that's a great convenience. Overall it was a great experience. I would definitely try this place again.

    Akumin is a medical imaging facility located in Wellington FL. It is one of many locations that…read morethis company has. This location has ok parking, and isn't hard to get to. They are incredibly disorganized with their staff not talking to each other. The employee that scheduled me looked up my insurance told me that I would have a $0 copay as my insurance was covered. So I made the appointment. Got there and they gave me my paperwork quickly and took my insurance card and license and tells me to sit down. Calls my name again and proceeds to tell me that my copay is $325. I've never had that copay in my life at a place like this, not even one out of network. I told her that there's no way and said the scheduler told me it would be $0. She said that they've been getting a lot of complaints about that from patients....yet they haven't fixed the issue? I told her that I don't even have to pay a copay of $250 a day when I'm Admitted to the hospital so that must be wrong. She said it's part of your deductible which I don't have unless it's an ambulance ride or I have to buy medical equipment. Finally I told them just to bill my insurance or I was walking out. They agreed after speaking with their manager. The scan I had was ok, but the nurse that I originally had stepped out for a lunch break and I got a new one. When I got the new one she didn't know I was there and I had to walk into the room where another person was on a conference call. The nurse then proceeded to do the scan while having a personal phone call with another employee on the phone. As a result I'm a bit worried that her split attention messed up the results/scan somehow. Usually with this scan you lay down for 4+ hours and get a scan every hour, but this facility does it differently. As a result I had to sit in an uncomfortable chair every hour I had to wait instead of lying down relaxing. Their AC was also out in the room I was in which is a health hazard as places like these (hospitals, doctors offices etc.) have to stay very cold to kill bacteria and viruses. TLDR: All in all the experience was terrible. The staff doesn't communicate with each other causing insurance info discrepancies and causing possible unwanted bills all while blaming the patient (I did look up my insurance online before and they did take it). Their medical staff rushes you and doesn't pay attention, all the while making you wait in uncomfortable places. I'm worried about the competency of their staff both medical and front desk. I would stay away from Akumin, but especially this location.
