I had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience at RAYUS Radiology in Delray Beach…read more I arrived at 5:45 a.m. for a scheduled MRI of my neck after receiving a confirmation phone call at 5:00 p.m. the previous day confirming my appointment. When I checked in, the two front desk employees insisted my appointment had been canceled because they claimed my insurance authorization had not been approved. I repeatedly tried to explain that I actually had two separate MRI orders. One had not yet been approved, but the MRI of my neck had been approved. I even had the insurance authorization number on my phone and tried several times to show them the approval directly from my insurance company's website. Instead of listening, I was met with a dismissive and condescending attitude. After nearly 10 minutes of trying to explain the situation, one of the employees finally acknowledged that the authorization was, in fact, there. Rather than apologizing for the mistake, I was told I would now have to wait an additional hour for my MRI because of the delay they had caused. I told them this was no way to treat a patient, especially someone who was clearly in severe pain and had arrived early for a confirmed appointment. The employee then responded by saying, "Then I'm canceling it," and canceled my MRI altogether. I have never experienced such unprofessional, disrespectful, and uncaring treatment in a medical office. Patients come to a radiology center because they are dealing with injuries, pain, or serious medical concerns. They deserve to be treated with professionalism, respect, and compassion not with hostility and a refusal to listen. I sincerely hope RAYUS addresses the customer service at this location, because no patient should be treated this way.

I've been going to Baptist Health City for years and have almost always had great experiences with…read moremammograms/ultrasounds, (except once) but NOT with CT scans. I had 3rd stage lung cancer and require restaging chest/abdomen and pelvic CTs w IV Contrast every three months. In December the radiologist wrote that I had an "Interval Upper Left Lobectomy." I'll translate, "She had the upper left lobe of her lung surgically removed." I DIDN'T have surgery. You'd think I'd remember that. Amending the report took months. It's important to know that I have BOTH LUNGS don'tcha think? The amount of paperwork and begging for the radiologist to simply speak to my oncologist was ridiculous. It never happened. I had to get them to amend the report myself. This Monday I went for my 3 month restaging CT w IV Contrast. The prescription says exactly that. I was told, "You need to drink contrast so you'll have to come back another time" I showed her that the order says WITH IV CONTRAST not ORAL contrast AND that you have done my previous CT's with IV Contrast. You have a note from my oncologist saying "PATIENT DOES NOT TOLERATE ORAL CONTRAST" She said, "You can call your Dr. and have him (she's a her) send a new prescription and we can do the scan today. You have 10 minutes." I was able to reach a receptionist in my oncologists office who knows me. My doctor only works there Tuesdays and Fridays. This was a Monday. The receptionist was able to uncheck a box so that the order was clearer. She stayed on the phone with me to make sure the prescription was clearer and faxed. So, I got the CT w IV contrast. The tech told me I'd have results next day. So now it's been four days. No results. I was told to call Boca Records and sign the same privacy documents to release results to myself as I did in December when I had to correct my own findings. That was the wrong thing. Finally, 2 days later I was told to call Hagen Ranch instead. I did that. I called Hagen Ranch and was told "It's vacation time, so you'll have to give it 3-5 more days. This is cancer restaging. This location is gorgeous in set up and is very clean. I had to get two ultra sounds done due to pain. I was able to get a cd right away. And my doctors got my results within 24-48 hours. Turned out nothing to be serious and it was just a cyst and fibroid. Glad I got it checked and tested by getting these tests done. The technician was excellent. She was gentle and good in communication. She told me exactly what she was doing etc. Side Note- They offer drinks if you need them after your tests. They have a variety of sodas, teas, hot chocolate and coffee. ~

From the receptionist to the clinical staff each person is friendly and knowledgeable. Recently, I had an emergency situation and I needed to have an ultrasound completed quickly and have the results ready for the next morning.
