I've been going to Baptist Health City for years and have almost always had great experiences with…read moremammograms/ultrasounds, (except once) but NOT with CT scans. I had 3rd stage lung cancer and require restaging chest/abdomen and pelvic CTs w IV Contrast every three months. In December the radiologist wrote that I had an "Interval Upper Left Lobectomy." I'll translate, "She had the upper left lobe of her lung surgically removed." I DIDN'T have surgery. You'd think I'd remember that. Amending the report took months. It's important to know that I have BOTH LUNGS don'tcha think? The amount of paperwork and begging for the radiologist to simply speak to my oncologist was ridiculous. It never happened. I had to get them to amend the report myself. This Monday I went for my 3 month restaging CT w IV Contrast. The prescription says exactly that. I was told, "You need to drink contrast so you'll have to come back another time" I showed her that the order says WITH IV CONTRAST not ORAL contrast AND that you have done my previous CT's with IV Contrast. You have a note from my oncologist saying "PATIENT DOES NOT TOLERATE ORAL CONTRAST" She said, "You can call your Dr. and have him (she's a her) send a new prescription and we can do the scan today. You have 10 minutes." I was able to reach a receptionist in my oncologists office who knows me. My doctor only works there Tuesdays and Fridays. This was a Monday. The receptionist was able to uncheck a box so that the order was clearer. She stayed on the phone with me to make sure the prescription was clearer and faxed. So, I got the CT w IV contrast. The tech told me I'd have results next day. So now it's been four days. No results. I was told to call Boca Records and sign the same privacy documents to release results to myself as I did in December when I had to correct my own findings. That was the wrong thing. Finally, 2 days later I was told to call Hagen Ranch instead. I did that. I called Hagen Ranch and was told "It's vacation time, so you'll have to give it 3-5 more days. This is cancer restaging. Unacceptable mediocrity. Wrote to Jared Smith - CEO Baptist Health No reply.

This was at 6080 Boynton Beach Blvd. They called me just before I got back home and tried to make it look as though it was *my* fault for not complaining to them at the front desk before leaving. Wrong. There were people in line at the front desk, and I had already seen them shoo away other patients who tried to approach with questions after checking in. BOTTOM LINE: They're making way more appointments than they have the capacity to service. Also, there is no way to file a complaint by telephone with them. Call their number and you get the infamous "our menu options have changed" greeting, but none of those options involve feedback on their service (or lack thereof).

I came with my husband for a procedure he needed. It was easy to make an appointment…read more He had to wait in line first to give his ID and insurance cards. He was given a tablet to then fill out and correct paperwork. There were some major errors on it -- like saying he was female (!). After filling out and signing the various consent forms, he returned the tablet to the desk. Then waited to be called. He was called to one of the windows -- there are 7 -- to get his ids returned. Then back to waiting to be called for the procedure. The scan itself took no time at all. After the procedure, he had to get back in the first line to ask for the results disk that the doctor had wanted. Back to waiting -- they said 10 minutes. But it's been a lot longer.... Considering how many people they were serving, the whole experience didn't seem that long. They do appear to have a system and seem fairly organized. The wait for the disk has now been longer than the prep and the wait for the procedure!

The technician performing my scan was mechanical, lacking any personality. Scan completed and I had to stand in line to request a disc of my procedure and then at the desk I was told to have a seat and wait 10 to 15 minutes for a disc. (Waiting now ... if it is any longer I'll edit this review) Update ... my 10 - 15 minute wait turned into a 50 minute wait.

DCA was patient‑first: fast check‑ins, five‑minute waits, organized staff, and zero issues accessing records. Rayus is the opposite. Since the acquisition, I've had constant account problems, repeated password resets, IT failures, and even duplicate accounts created without my consent. My records end up scattered, and the only way I recently got my results was by driving in person to pick them up. Wait times have also exploded. What used to be a five‑minute walk‑in now regularly turns into an hour or more. And phone staff can be rude -- one employee even hung up on me. The decline is obvious: DCA felt like people first; Rayus feels like profit only . Patients deserve better.

The team at reception and triage are fabulous. Got me right in. The problem happened when I was…read morewheeled into the ER. Placed in the hallway and forgotten despite being directly in front of nurses station. My husband stopped a very kind nurse after a 2 1/2 hour wait for stitches from a dog bite. She was able to get the attending physician and NP to look at my wound. Dr told NP to stitch me up. The wound bandage from the EMTs was bloody and dried to the injury. Dr. pulled it off with no consideration of my pain. Was stitched in the hallway (sanitary anyone?) while I cursed at the pain. Was told I needed a tetanus shot and pain med. Neither was given. Discharge nurse did not go over wound care for home. Can't wait to check the bill to see if I was charged for the shot and drug. My follow up appointment doctor was not happy with no tetanus being given but said the sutures were done well. A prescription for antibiotics was sent to Bethesda pharmacy which was CLOSED for the weekend. No one asked us about our usual Walgreens's to send the script. This place was badly understaffed on a weeknight evening (6pm). This used to be our go to clinic. It was great when first opened. Gone way downhill in care since then. It's a shame.
