I have just started recreational cycling and wanted to get into cross country biking. I went to a couple bike shops but this one captured my attention. Despite the size, there was a good variety of bicycles and supplies and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. They offered competitive prices, financing options and after purchase tune ups. I eventually made a purchase and so far, I've been happy with my new bicycle. Happy customer!! read more

If there's a busines that went from good and convenient to awful and useless during this pandemic is this one. Literally 2 or 3 bikes around $600. The rest $3,500, $4,000 $6,000 and even $12,000. Service: A maintenance service that was $30 is now $45(cheap and usless) to $90. Sooooo if you are fortunate enough to afford a $9,000 then $90 is not a bad deal. However, if your bike costs $600 why wold you pay $100 for tune up? Doesn't make sense. My opinion is that they are trying to do away with entry level customers. Let's see how that goes. So, not good customer service. I recently placed an order online on an item that clearly stated "pack of 4" and after my credit card was processed I was contacted via phone by Alexis. He then tried to switch my order from the original "Pack of 4" to 1 unit for the same price. I screen shot their website and emailed it to him showing that there wasn't even an option to by the item in singles and "pack of 4" was the only option. I emailed him my receipt along with the screenshots and he said he would talk to him manager and get back to me. fast forward almost a week and i wake up to an email that my order was canceled. Great knowledgeable and honest staff. I bought a used road bicycle and took it here so they could check it out and tell me what it needed. Besides the bottom bracket which I already knew had to be replaced, they didn't try to take advantage of me making things up to charge me more, as other mechanics would. They told me straight up, that the bike would be perfect after replacing the bottom bracket, which was only $30. Before proceeding, I was advised that they had quite a few bikes to fix and mine would be ready by EOD or next day. I dropped it off at 1pm, and they called me at 5pm to let me know my bike was ready. I rode the bike at pickup and the problem was completely resolved, they even went as far as to clean and lube the chain for me. Rafael was patient with me and even helped me with choosing a helmet, lights, pedals, and other bicycle accessories. This is definitely my go to bike shop for all repairs, maintenance, and all bike related purchases. read more

I have a tip for the wrenches in this place ... when you see a guy walk in with a bike that is clearly an appendix of himself - someone that obviously knows a thing or two about cycling, and his equipment - don't go arguing with him about what is best for his bike - WRONG !! These guys are dismal, I had to completely reinstall my bike computer because they left cables dangling all over my front fork, the taping job on my handlebars - sucked !! I had to buy more tape and do it myself. Should have done right from the beginning - so I thought I would save time, not so... had to redo the work myself because these guys just don't know how to properly tune up a bike. I would rather drive to the shops in South Miami, Coral Gables or Pinecrest - the mechanics there are true bike enthusiasts and they know product. Not in Doral !!! Stay Away. I have been in cycling for over 15 years and developed relationships with several bike shops over my time. Unfortunately the bike shortage brought me here when I needed to buy another. This shop has been the worst bike shop experience of my life. I spent more than $3000 dollars here. No follow up support, don't care about helping customers after the sale is made. They only roll out the red carpet when you are buying. Never again will I shop at a bike shop without knowing how they treat customers after the sale. This was a nightmare. read more

I came back only because I really needed a tube for my tri bike. It was early, they had a bunch of us waiting for them to open, and the owner asked the tech to get me the rare tube (its smaller than the usual sizes) I needed. The tech gives me one - of course the numbers don't match and I insist its not right. If you read my previous review - its the same guy with the SAME attitude. He insists with his 'tude that it can be used. I go to pay with misgivings, because I KNOW this isn't right, and should have known better. I tell the owner at the register and he calls Mr. Techitude over who gives more of his signature attitude grabs the new one and the old one and stretches them out with the DUH SEE? look on his face. The owner says it should work. OF COURSE it didn't. Again, I know enough about bikes but had decided to trust them. NOT Mr. Techitude but the owner because we had been talking and he seemed to be straight up and a good guy. So this morning I walk in with the two (yea, I purchased two like an idiot) and Jose's first words are "I knew it. It didn't fit did it?" Long story short he first tore the whole store up looking for the right size and since they didn't have it gave me a refund and promised to order the right size and told me not to worry that because of the problem they will be 'on him'. Of course I told him that wouldn't be necessary I will pay for them but told him that Mr. Techitude needed an adjustment more than the bikes he fixes. Jose agreed. I really appreciate the super service Jose gave me, my past experience had been based solely on my interaction with Mr. T. Yes, its smaller than most places but definitely helps me with my needs when I don't want to drive too far. read more

Helpful staff, but not all that professional experience bikers. They will give all the information you need.... but you'll walk out with the presence of maybe asking another person or passing by another store. Pricey. If you're looking for just a bike to bike, go to Walmart or Target. If hardcore mountain biking or serious road speed is your interest, then this is a great place to start. A lot of bikes to see, feel, test and a get use to brands and models. (Like Cars) Although, you could research what you find in this store and maybe find it cheaper elsewhere online or maybe other stores around. If not on bikes, you will definitely find cheaper parts and accessories online. Labor. Don't do it, yet!. Here's something useful. Buy anything, like a powerbar, (I bought a chain and tubes) and they will ask for your phone #, address, etc. Within a week you get 2 coupons; a coupon for free labor on brakes and gears. Take advantage to fix brakes and gears AND anything else. Second coupon is $100 off on any bike purchase over $500. -___- I changed the chain and tubes after watching videos on youtube and realize that $40 on Labor for that was ridiculous. youtube/google is your friend... and don't forget YELP too! ;) read more

The worst service I have ever received from a bike shop. I do not recommend. First, I was behind them to buy them a bicycle and when I got them to charge me, I had to call them several times to send me some tracking #, they responded with a blurred and poorly taken photo. After this I had to call them several times so they could send me the invoice for the purchase. When the bicycle finally arrives, it turns out that it arrives bent and broken. I had to call back for two days to file the claim and look for a solution. After all, I agreed to get half of the money back and replace the broken piece. It didn't go so bad after all. But after two months I still haven't received the money and the broken piece. Every time I call they are busy and they come up with excuses. I'll let everybody know how much time it takes them to do this. Extremely poor service from the employees and the owner of this store. read more

Went to RB in Doral after doing extensive research on what I was looking for in a road bike. Nothing too crazy but not a low-end bike. I sent several shops emails asking about availability of the various brands and models I was looking at. Received a few nice messages back. The one I received from RB was just a stock reply. I had decided on a couple shops to visit. RB was not one of them but because I was in the area I thought I would just drop by. Walk in the door, wander around for a bit while a couple guys are chatting. Finally I walk right up to the guys behind the counter, who were still just chatting, and asked them about the bikes I wanted. Turns out, the factory reps were there the day prior and had demo rides. I felt like saying if they paid attention to their emails, then they would have known I was interested and contacted me. I asked if they knew where the factory van was today. "No they left town. Took off up north." They then said that the model I was looking for wasn't available yet and it would be a few weeks. It was obvious I was interrupting their conversation. I left. Called another shop to ask if they knew where the reps were, "Oh they're here, just showed up, we were getting ready to call you." Even if they weren't planning on calling me, it was a nice recovery. "Come on down and we'll get you hooked up." I will not set foot in RB Cycles again. read more

What a great experience ! Took my three year old Cannondale in for a tune up and assistance installing a rear facing camera that I received as a gift. I picked up my bike all cleaned up and ready to go except the camera needed charging. I could not find the charging socket so I went back and the man found iT within seconds .. Duh THEN after charging the screen I still couldn't get it to work and, for the record, I'm not technologically challenged. Again I was assisted quickly and cheerfully and he would not accept any payment. For the record, RB cycles has all my business forever! Went to buy a chain, get it replaced, and get some tuning done. Work quality was good. Labor prices were amazingly cheap when compared to LA prices. Another plus was the quick turn around. I dropped my bike off around 1 and picked it up at 6. Store is amazingly stocked and has a ton of higher end stuff which I would envision myself buying in the future when I have the money to spend. read more

Came to RB Cycles the other day looking for deals on bikes. This shop has a pretty good selection but it's not too big. The prices are a bit on the high side for what I was looking for. The cashier was pretty good when it came to answering questions and seemed to know a good deal. I was disappointed to see they only had one kind of bike rack and it didn't include the price on it. We had to ask the cashier. Again, it's ok and I mostly came here because it was close but we're going to other places to shop for bikes. read more

Mechanics here are thieves! A friend brought in her bike for a tune up any they swapped out here derailleurs for cheaper ones - from 105s to Tiagra. I shit you not!!! Unfortunately she didn't notice for a few weeks after when she finally rode it. Too late to even say anything. Besides, they don't even have a clue how to "fit" correctly. read more

Paid usd 100 for maintenance and flat tire including new stand and bell but when I picked up neither was installed. Disappointing. Both were installed on site and I had to wait about 10 minutes. Also forgot to properly inflate both tires which took another 10 minutes although no other customers present. Will go somewhere else next time. read more

On December 17, I placed an order for a Scott Conttesa Active bicycle for my wife, placed the order online and made the payment by PayPal, since I never received any confirmation, I decided to call to ask for information about my order, a seller called Santiago attended which told me that he had nothing to do with it and that I would have to call the warehouse directly, due to the great informality I decided to write an email and send it to have support. I immediately called the warehouse and they had no idea about my order, I finally received a confirmation in response to my email. Until today, November 30, I have not received any notification, call or email notifying the removal of the bicycle. I decided to send someone to do the search directly in the store. With the surprise that having a payment confirmation and a manual mail sent by the warehouse, the bicycle was not available. I DO NOT recommend the people of RB Cycles to anyone, they are irresponsible and lack of seriousness. They did not offer me any alternative since obviously the mistake was theirs at all times. I will never buy anything in this store again. The worst service I have ever received and the people with the most unprofessionalism. Too bad they are representatives of Scott, they are damaging the brand with poor service. read more

My wife and I bought our bikes 2 weeks before moving to the Doral area. With that said, we have been to this shop 2 times. The first was to buy a helmet for our son. The next was yesterday to ask a question regarding the use of the tire pump that I purchased at a different shop and also to fill my tires with air. When I walked in I was greeted by Gabriel... I told him that I needed air in both tires as well as a quick lesson in using my pump at home, again, that I purchased elsewhere. He could not have been more friendly and helpful with my tasks. The shop is really nice and clean with lots of bike choices for all ages. I will def return when our son is ready for his first bike. Until then, free air and free lessons?? Who can say that's not 5 star service!! read more

Great store! Very friendly staff, I have been coming here for over a year. Ever since I moved to Doral this has been my go-to store to get all my bike maintenance done. Experienced mechanics are there to work on any bike from low end cruisers to high end racing bikes. I have bought two bikes here on separate occasions and they were readily available to help me choose the best bike for me. Highly recommend this store to everyone in the area. read more

Okay, I am a tough customer and especially since I live in California. I go in mainly to browse and get information. I purchase small stuff from RB Cycle (supplements, hat, cleaner), but ask many questions about my bike and equipment (I purchased in CA.). Techs and Sales people are VERY helpful and nice to talk to. Highly recommend you shop here, good prices on the bikes and very knowledgeable, but most important, Helpful! That said, I have also went to the one on 36th street a few times and will never go back. So I went to the store to get my fork checked out (hairline crack on carbon fork, some serious business. Went in to get their "professional opinion." I also work retail. First customer in the morning(oct. 14, 2014) with a simple question. It isn't a big deal to a 20 year old. It shouldn't be an issue for an older adult. (I assume he was late 30's, doubt early 40's) But this was not the case. Took a glance at the fork. And said it was cracked. Understood, no problem. So I asked, how much would a replacement fork be. He clearly wanted to get me out of the store ASAP. He looks up a origin8 fork (which I researched the night before roughly 140ish. Thought to myself "why not help a local business?") Clearly way overpriced at 300 bucks. MSRP for the top of the line origin 8 fork is 250. No problem, business I get it. But the way the gentleman said everything to me from the get go. Rude. Condescending. Clearly didn't want me in the store, avoided contact. Tried to kill him with kindness, didn't work. You have a customer coming in, who has came here before. With a concern, and not minding to pay money. So then I thought, "Hey, let me ask him a question pertaining to buying a bike (balance bike) to see if he even cares of looking away from the computer to look at me and give me an answer." Hey, do you have any balance bikes for kids?" I said. "No, we don't" he replied without a concern. Not even, "I know a place where you can get one" C'mon man, a person who sells bikes doesn't care about putting the younger generation on two wheels? It's sad. I didn't even get mad. This guy just couldn't care less. I put two stars to be fair because I have dealt with a guy (when I bought my trainer about a year ago) who was nice. Who juggled between three customers and me with respect and eagerness. (Very skinny guy with light brown hair). I know it's not the shop's fault, just this one particular guy. I'm all for small business, I would love to help out a cool looking shop since I know it's tough for bike shops. I don't mind paying a reasonable premium to get top notch and kind service. Like I said, I really tried to like this LBS. It's near home and work. It's a really cool looking shop. Nothing else. Just avoid the guy with the medium length dark hair, he obviously doesn't want to work. You might have better chances getting another associate. Ending up having better luck at a shop near by. But I won't put the name, I'm not rude. I hope this store can turn a new leaf. read more

I popped my son's 12" bike tire by inflating it off a scuba tank. I promised we would go for a bike ride after school. I dropped the bike off and 30 minutes later it was ready before my son got home from school. They were nice and courteous. There is nothing worse than failing in the eyes of a 3.5 year old. God please help this shop , my friend took his bike to get the tension on his rear derailer adjusted and 30min later the used his spare master link after they broke the chain for no reason thanks god the master mechanic came and with a screw driver just adjusted it and then they said he had to charge $20 to work on the bike and reminded us to leave a tip and the end of it the bike makes more noise than how it came in and the chain has a weak chain.... read more

I went last week for Fitting. Matt has done a great job after visiting 4 different bike shops trying to solve HOT FEET. He knew what he is was doing, and cleats positioning turn out to be perfect and no longer burning torch feet with fire. I had a really bad experience at this shop. Stopped by with my kid's bike to have tires and shifters replaced. Show them EXACTLY the tires and shifters I wanted -which were mounted on a set of brand-new bicycles. They said "no problem". Two weeks and $170 later, they changed the tires two times and the shifters two times, and they still did not get me the ones I had told them and SHOWED them, and that they had agreed and CHARGED me to do the work. Their comment --"we did what we could, we tried hard." Moreover, their claim is that "our job is to put the bike back on the road." Funny thing is --my kid's bike was on the road already --I just needed two sets of components replaced. Bottom line-- - They don't LISTEN to what you ask them to do - They don't deliver on what they PROMISE to do - They do whatever they THINK you need, not what you ASK them to do - They don't take responsibility for their doing a bad, incomplete or unacceptable job - They don't refund your money - They don't even recognize or UNDERSTAND their shortcomings In summary -- don't expect them to listen to you, to fix your bike the way you want them to, or to refund your money if they don't do the job you ask them to.
