From the first time I spoke with Gary from RB Painting, I knew I was not dealing with just another contractor. Gary was nothing but professional, courteous, and understanding. During his initial inspection of my home, he carefully examined every piece of the exterior of my house to ensure he understood exactly what I wanted to be done with the house. It became very obvious almost immediately that Gary had years and years of experience and really wanted the job to be done right the first time. The quote he provided to me for the job was received promptly and was detailed. I was already sold on having RB Painting complete the job even before even knowing how much it was going to cost me. It is not every day that I meet a contractor as genuine and honest as Gary was. Once Gary and his team (Cassie and Art) started the job, it took less than two weeks to complete the painting of the exterior of my house, which is just under 1900 square feet in size. Gary and his crew requested access to my garage to set up their equipment as well as access to the house to occasionally use the restroom. Although this is not something I would typically allow for most other contractors, that was not the case with Gary and his team. It felt as though I just had family visiting, who happened to be helping me paint the house. There was never a time that I thought twice about allowing the RB Painting crew access to my home. Each day, his team arrived on time and ready to work. They were very careful to clean up after themselves every day before leaving the premises, which was also very important to me. Washed down the house and did a lot of prep work, sealing up joints and masking everything well. Gary, the owner, is on site working and checking that everything is done properly. No paint left on any of our windows nor any other over spray or other clean up we had to do... great! One of our neighbors, who used to paint houses, commented that it looked like they did a very good job. Gary Baker and his crew just finished painting our house and I couldn't be happier. I had several companies provide estimates and I chose Gary because I felt he was trustworthy and professional. Gary and his crew worked hard for two weeks. I liked that he used the same two people, plus himself, everyday so we knew who was coming and going. The prep work was daunting because we had so many problems like ivy, holes in the stucco, chipped wood frames and cracked vents but they did it all! Then after two coats of paint, our house looks brand new! (I was skeptical at first of needing two coats but I could see a huge difference between one and two coats, even though we color matched.) There isn't one thing I would change because there isn't one stray paint mark anywhere. I'm so impressed! I loved that Gary kept a consistent line of communication during the whole process. He had taken copious notes on exactly what we wanted but as things came up, he asked about it and he always gave great advice. Gary was knowledgeable, easy going and thorough throughout the whole process. We didn't go with any crazy paint scheme or don't have a super fancy house, but now the inside looks great!!! Gary took the time at the beginning of the process to really go through the house with us and asked us lots of questions! I thought this was great as we've never painted the entire open area of a house before and he had lots of great questions and had no issues when we had no answers to his questions (I think it started with "what color do you want the trim" and when we had a blank look he talked to us about how choosing a slight off white color rather that white would be better in a lot of ways, but never forced any ideas). He checked in with us leading up to starting and even made one final stop over to see us before starting to make sure he had answered all our questions. We never met his crew or saw them work as we were at work the whole time they were here, but their work was great and they never left any mess. He also checked in during the day with things he discovered. Gary, Art and Shane painted the exterior of our house: top to bottom, everything from the tippy top of the chimney, fascia, stucco (the usual stuff) to the front door, balcony railing, garden gates - even last minute add-on planters in front of the house. They were always on time, and they cleaned up each day as though it was the last day! They are very conscientious: arranging floor mats over the power cord for their sprayer (to prevent my family from tripping if they happened to go through to grab drinks from the garage fridge), covering all the plants (to prevent any paint on the plants - even little shrubs!), and Gary took the time each day to check about which doorways or windows to seal so we wouldn't be inconvenienced. Having painted interior rooms ourselves, we can honestly say Gary and his team are amazing- so detailed, so clean, and so worry free for us. They carefully cleaned then prepped the house, put on multiple coats. They do it right. Given all the work involved, my husband and I couldn't find any issues - even weeks later. You'd expect to see some small mistake or oversight on some bit of the house somewhere - NOPE! Every CENTIMETER of the house, every little corner, edges of shutters, every detail painted perfectly!
