The price was very reasonable, but more importantly, the installation was on time, and the quality workmanship was Tops. We also had his crew replace and paint a high ridge soffit board that was sagging on our house. His crew did an excellent job. They also do siding work which I inspected on a friends house. We recently had our of our windows replaced by Richard and his team - they were very professional and did a great job! We got a really good feeling when Richard came out to give us a quote; he was honest with us about pricing and had our best interests in mind. We appreciated that they didn't break the glass out like some companies do; they also removed and put back up all of our blinds. I set up two separate appointments to get new windows quoted with RB Windows & Siding, and had my appointments cancelled last minute both times. I cannot speak highly enough about Richard and his crew. As I female, I generally find the prospect of dealing with contractors stressful and disappointing, especially in Galveston. However, please be advised that Richard runs a tight ship with excellent and timely results. I got a quote from 3 contractors; Richard's estimate was in the middle money wise but for cleanliness, timelines, and superior quality, it felt like the best deal. There were no delays and everything ran according to schedule. The team took the time to remove (and rehang) all of my drapes. All staff were friendly and professional. So I bought a LivingSocial voucher for 20 windows cleaning and called to schedule a cleaning before coming up to the expiration date in May. Richard informed me they were backed up until July and gave me the option to call livingsocial to get my money back. I chose to schedule, BIG MISTAKE! The original scheduled date was for yesterday, no show. I called and left a message, they called back and said would come by tomorrow afternoon. They did. The guy made a remark, "it's like coming to see the president" and asked for my voucher while he counted the number of windows I have. Came back and said, I have 59 in all and I informed him that I only wanted the 20 back windows cleaned. He said it'll be $3 fee for the screens, that's 19*$3 total. I got the original posting on living social, showed him: "In addition to the window panes, the screens, sills, and frames will also be cleaned." for the price. He asked me when I bought the voucher and informed me the new listing includes extra charge and he'll clean 10 windows for me in lieu of the 20. I said fine as he apologized for smoking in my backyard... I hate to judge the man with tattoos all over since I have a tattoos myself but this wasn't looking good... And my intuitions were right! 15 minutes later, they were gone!!! Not even a good-bye or letting me know which windows were cleaned, nothing!! I checked the windows, no windows were cleaned!! No way they could've cleaned 10 windows on 2 story house in that time! There were still spots on the windows! Tried to stiff me for extra cash! No windows were cleaned, no work was done! Completely unprofessional! I called livingsocial and got credit back to my account. The rep said there is no difference with the new listing from the old one. I have a feeling a lot of small businesses just wanted to be paid up front by livingsocial and not do the work. RB windows demonstrated the following traits that are often hard to come by: Professional On-time Excellent communication and feedback Strong attention to detail Keeps all his promises One of the biggest things that stuck out to me was that Richard kept his word on everything he said he would do. I often come across companies and contractors who promise the world but "forget" when they complete their job. Richard was very upfront about everything and explained everything during the process. I felt comfortable enough to tell him if I wanted something adjusted or a small detail fixed (barely anything needed adjusting) and he did it without hesitation. By far this was my best window and door installation experience ever. Richard and crew were timely, courteous, reasonably priced, and were patient with some add on projects threw on them unplanned. Richard came out and took care of all of the leaves and acorns and suggested at that time to get gutter covers. I told him I would think about it. While discussing more what services his company provided I learned Richard installed Double Pane Windows. I had already done research on window manufacturers and was pleased to find out he recommended the same company I was most interested in. Richard worked with me over a 4 month period to install windows for my whole house. On my budget I had to split it up. I received great pricing better than others I had called and great service. I love my windows and have referred Richard to some of my clients (I am in Real Estate). Since my windows were done my gutters are now full again so I decided it was time to get gutter covers.
