Kevin led us through the trail and he was very informative, friendly, and easy going. The trails were very pretty and we did see a cow right on the trail. As for the horses, they were healthy, and seemed quite happy to chug along through the trail. We had never been horseback riding before so Kevin was very patient in getting us started. We had a terrific time and would definitely do this again. We recommend Shenandoah Stables to anyone looking to go horseback riding at a very reasonable expense ($35 per person for a 45 minute ride).

The horses were well taken care of and the setting is just incredible. Lazy Oak trees gently cascade over the land, shading the horses and riders on a warm day. We lucked out with a breezy day. My husband's last time on a horse was over 20 years ago at a terrible ranch where his horse took off on his first ride ever. Elaine asked about our experience and when we shared this, she made sure all the horses were good for 3 of us. I asked for one a little spicier and got to ride sassy Lady, a beautiful young thoroughbred-mix. I appreciated the care they took in assessing what would work for us. It's a very casual set-up which was just right for us. The trail is through their beautiful wooded acreage. It was extremely relaxing and a perfect first-time experience for our teens. We will be back! Please support this great little stable. Cash only, and be sure to tip the guide kindly!

He loves trying new places, especially ones we might normally drive right past. So on a laid-back Sunday, we decided to trust his judgment and go along for the ride. Turns out... good call, kid. This isn't typically our go-to style of food (we tend to eat lighter), but if you're going to do a roadhouse restaurant, this is exactly how it should be done. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had that perfect "casual steakhouse energy" where you immediately start debating whether you should order responsibly... or just go all in. Service can really make or break a first visit, and ours absolutely made it. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and actually knew the menu well enough to make helpful suggestions instead of just pointing at the most expensive thing (we all know the type). Genuine service like that stands out. The food was excellent. Definitely the kind of meal where you say "I don't normally eat like this" while fully continuing to eat like that. But honestly, it's fun to step outside your normal routine once in a while and enjoy something a little more indulgent. The only minor downside for me was the noise level, but that's part of the roadhouse experience. To be fair, the layout and interior design actually do a better-than-average job of keeping the sound from becoming overwhelming. It's lively without being chaotic -- though if you're looking for whisper-quiet dining, this probably isn't your spot. If you're looking for good food and a fun atmosphere, though, you'll fit right in. Overall, we had a really enjoyable experience -- good food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Bonus points for getting us to try somewhere new that we genuinely liked. If you're in the mood for a great steak and all the classic fixings, this place definitely deserves a spot on your list.

Our bread and butter arrived hot and fresh and our server, Amber, arrived to take our drink order. So, just like last time I inquired about the the BIG ad they have on the menu for their "$5 ALL DAY, every day, 16 oz BEER, Ask your Server " So, I asked, Amber, and got the same exact response "we're out of that beer" To which I replied "can you substitute another beer?" "No, but I can ask the manager." We also had a coupon for a free appetizer so I asked about that too. So Amber checked with the manager and comes back and says "manager said no coupon because it's Father's Day and no, substituitions for the beer. Would you like to speak to a manager?" "Yes" I replied (just like the last time). Amber returns and says manager said "no to the beer but will honor the free appetizer coupon since it's Father's Day" Anyway, the appetizer coupon allowance was appreciated but it seems a little fishy about this alleged $5 ALL DAY Every Day beer being unavailable 2 times on 2 visits that were months apart. So, as always the food and service were outstanding. 5 stars actually but the nonsense of the server having to go back and forth to the manager leaves a negative impression and earns a negative star. Honestly, have a meeting, decide to go with a different beer when your out of this alleged beer and by all means, manager, feel free to stop by the table and check in with your clientele. That little visit would go a long way in building rapport and give us a moment to acknowledge the outstanding service, how much we enjoyed the food and areas of improvement you may be interested in hearing. Thanks

Parking is free in their lot. The wait staff were warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal. We started with the PEI mussels. While the mussels themselves were a bit overcooked, the buttery broth was rich and flavorful, and the perfectly charred bread was ideal for soaking up every last drop. The standout appetizer of the evening was the Kim Chee Calamari. Unique, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious, it was a creative twist that worked beautifully. The Lobster Bisque was unfortunately too salty for our taste. I also ordered an Old Fashioned, which leaned sweeter than I prefer, though in fairness our waiter had mentioned that beforehand. For the entrée, the Swordfish filet was overcooked, but the accompanying couscous was excellent!! Cooked perfectly. It was plump, tender, and paired nicely with grilled vegetables. Our order of grilled mushrooms was forgotten, as I had to remind the wait staff. We ended with the Lava Cake, which seemed to be made with brownie-like batter. It was dense, hard, and far too sweet for our liking. Overall, this restaurant shines in its stunning marina location, generous space, and excellent service. While some dishes missed the mark, the Kimchi Calamari and the memorable waterfront ambiance made for an enjoyable experience.

It's about outdated with its multiple levels and 1970's decor. The parking lot requires an emergency brake for sure too. The drinks were great though. I had a few and I needed them to deal with the rest of the meal. The Chocolate Old Fashioned was unique and delicious. The lobster tail was pretty great. That's one of the reasons we came and they didn't disappoint with that. The steak though... If you're over or under done (that Airplane movie routine is classic, right?) by one level, then I get it. But if you order medium-rare and it's medium-well plus, then your cook (yeah, not a chef) is doing a terrible job. The remake came out after desserts too... super slow! And desserts too... the hot lava cake took forever (it's supposed to take long but OMG), and it was overcooked as well as all of the lava had already turned into obsidian. TLDR... Good drinks, good lobster , the rest was trash. Chart House was a mixed bag for sure, with more unpopped kernels than fluffy white pillowy corn puffs. Not sure why I went to popcorn all of a sudden, but there ya go!

Friends, I must confess: I should not have waited this long. Just like Uncle Chicken's across the way, everything here is prepared with love and care. I had the meatloaf. It's prepared with big cubes of white cheddar, bacon, and ground meat, then pressed together into a juicy, almost cubed steak consistency, then finished off in a cast iron skillet with a sweet red sauce and sliced fresh jalapeños on top. I kid you not when I say I had to look my mother in the eyes and say this was better. The sweet, spicy, and savory flavors all melded together in my mouth in a jubilee of taste, and the skillet serving style ensured the food stayed piping hot and fresh throughout my meal. I had it with asparagus (very yummy and cooked alongside in the skillet) and au gratin potatoes (consistency and flavor of a wonderful, creamy macaroni and cheese). My parents shared the pork souvlaki. They report that it was wonderful. The pork was perfectly juicy (I hate dried out pork), and this place has the best tzatziki you'll find this side of the Mediterranean. We finished off our meal with a southern comfort classic: peach cobbler. Just like everything else, it was delicious. Ever since Cracker Barrel replaced their blackberry cobbler with the current travesty of a dessert they pretend is cobbler, I've been looking for a replacement. This hit the spot. The location is perfect for the food, too. It feels like you've just been invited into someone's house for a potluck dinner. Staggered lighting across the ceiling (with some red, green and blue lights) complete the dive look, while guitars, a Centipede arcade cabinet, and tons of chicken figurines line the room. You'll feel like you've traveled to the mountains of Appalachia as the soft bluegrass plays in the background and the smells of the kitchen caress your nostrils. Guy Fieri should have come here when he came through town a while back.
