We went to the chart house for our wedding dinner, just the two of us. They gave us the best table with a view. They gave us personalized menus and our server, Brenna was amazing. She brought us comp champagne. I ordered a ceasar salad $15 for my app and it was ok. The crispy parm bowl was soggy but the rest tasted good. Hubs got clam chowder and he loved it. I ordered blackened swordfish and it lacked all but a pinch of the blackening seasoning. However it was cooked to perfection. Hubs got the Asian style black cod. It was delicious and again cooked perfectly. I had my heart set on dessert but was full. Brenna brought us a slice of cake with a congratulations chocolate on it. So sweet. While our view was nice, the ambiance was missing that spark. Too many older men on cell phones. There is a mature clientele and i am 57 and hubs is 59 so we aren't exactly spring chickens. The meal itself was honestly very good. We started with the salad bar, which offers a great selection with tons of choices--including caviar on crackers! For main courses, both the Grouper and the Halibut were prepared really well, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Dessert was a major highlight: we got the crème brûlée trio, a scoop of fresh raspberry sorbet, and a smooth cappuccino to finish things off. They also treated us to a free birthday cake slice with a candle, which was a sweet touch! The Service: Service started out a bit bizarre. Our initial waiter suddenly clocking out and going home mid-meal was definitely odd. His replacement took over and casually mentioned that the first guy was a "whiner" --funny interaction and she's probably right. She was a pleasant and efficient server. Facilities / Cleanliness: The biggest downside was the restroom. There was a very strong mold smell inside, and looking up at the AC vent, you could see visible mold buildup. Definitely needs some attention from management on the maintenance side. There was an unused checklist on the door for cleaning. The wait staff were warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal. We started with the PEI mussels. The standout appetizer of the evening was the Kim Chee Calamari. Unique, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious, it was a creative twist that worked beautifully. The Lobster Bisque was unfortunately too salty for our taste. I also ordered an Old Fashioned, which leaned sweeter than I prefer, though in fairness our waiter had mentioned that beforehand. More like Shart House... this place was a disappointment and Landry foods should be ashamed of themselves for not closing it down. It's a great location near the water. It's about outdated with its multiple levels and 1970's decor. The parking lot requires an emergency brake for sure too. The drinks were great though. I had a few and I needed them to deal with the rest of the meal. The Chocolate Old Fashioned was unique and delicious. The lobster tail was pretty great. That's one of the reasons we came and they didn't disappoint with that. The steak though... If you're over or under done (that Airplane movie routine is classic, right?) by one level, then I get it. But if you order medium-rare and it's medium-well plus, then your cook (yeah, not a chef) is doing a terrible job. The remake came out after desserts too... super slow! And desserts too... the hot lava cake took forever (it's supposed to take long but OMG), and it was overcooked as well as all of the lava had already turned into obsidian. TLDR... Good drinks, good lobster , the rest was trash. Chart House was a mixed bag for sure, with more unpopped kernels than fluffy white pillowy corn puffs. We have a party of 15 people for the dinner.The restaurant is nice and look warm.The servers aren't good at all.They forget what we ask for.They forget at least 2 appetizer salad dishes.One main dish came out cold. My clam chowder bowl is huge.If you aren't a big eater you could be full just having their bowl of soup.It has full of clams.The clams are fresh, big chunk and chewy. The only problem is soup very creamy but lacks of clam juice taste. Our mussels in white wine sauce is too salty while the toasts are burnt and bitter.The server said he will replace the toasts but it never comes out. This was by far one of the worst and disappointing restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. You don't expect this from a restaurant with an excellent inter-coastal view that offers what should be strong surf and turf dining. With slow service, poor communication from the bar, inadequate turnaround by the kitchen that including serving food that shouldn't have been allowed to be served as it was old and turned, this review should be a one star. Only the three things kept it from being that: the Basil and Yuzu cocktail, the polite server who was doing the best he could but clearly was dealing with too many tables across too many sections, and the Sea Bass and Lobster Risotto that was very good; but I also waited more than an hour to receive. Driving into the parking lot that was poorly lit at night (which we discovered as we were leaving 2.5 hours later when we finally left) to the point the grassy area across from the boating docks outside of it where we parked was more illuminated, we were hopeful the meal was going to be good. The location is fantastic. Sharing with a boating dock that had many medium and large-sized boats parked on the intercostal, the Chart House has the perfect location for a fine dining experience. The interior has a warm yet elegant look that seems straight out of the 60s for fine dining surf and turf restaurants. The dining room on the primary floor radiates the vibes of enjoying a good meal with a prime view of the inter-coastal. Our table was at the window with a perfect view of the waterway that enhanced further when the sun set and the moon rose over the clear darkening sky. Recipe for a good evening, right? I wish that were the case. The service was slow and delayed. We waited 15 minutes for our first round of drinks. We waited an hour for our meal once we ordered. We waited another 30 minutes for our desserts, which the crème brûlée sampler was lackluster while the cheesecake was completely inedible-- it was sour, rubbery, and clearly tasted like it was old and should have been thrown out. Fortunately, the server took it back and removed from our check. But I was flabbergasted that the kitchen would serve a dessert that had clearly turned. The kitchen also communicated poorly with the servers on what was still available. My Aunt wanted the meatballs appetizer but we discovered it was sold out only after the fact. It was a Saturday night, and there shouldn't be any reason for that to be sold out. And at the very least, the word should have been given to the servers when dishes were no longer available. Additionally, my Aunt ordered a clam chowder that never came out when the food arrived and it was another 10 minutes when she told the server to just take it off the bill. And we are talking soup. Were they making each bowl's worth from scratch? Not sure what was going on with the bar but they took forever with the drinks. Then they screwed up my second drink order of an extra dirty gin martini with Hendricks and gave me a well-liquor gin martini instead that was not great. While the sea bass with lobster risotto was really good fortunately after waiting an hour and the Basil and Yuzu was a very well made cocktail that surpassed the over-sweet mess that was the Purple Passion, it wasn't enough to change my mind on returning to Chart House. The experience was shocking. This wasn't some run-down steak franchise like Ponderosa or run-of-the-mill spot like Texas Roadhouse, Chart House is supposed to be a bonafide spot in Daytona. But the service was slow from the kitchen and bar and the quality was surprisingly bad from the dessert end. And on Saturday night, the experience was both baffling and disappointing. read more

My wife and really enjoyed the seafood stack and the tarot chips that came with the stack were very good. The stack was quite a lot of food and we could have shared just one instead of ordering one each. The lobster bisque was very flavorful with nice chunks of lobster. My wife had the Mac Nut Mahi which was excellent, and I had the Key West Lime habanero grouper. While the fish on each of our dishes was a little overcooked, the sauces were excellent. The service was also very good. I was feeling a little hypoglycemic and our server Jen brought over some bread immediately which really helped. We look forward to returning. read more

This specific review is for Mother's Day 2025 at the Daytona Beach location. 3 course lunch/dinner for $67 with additional salad bar for an extra $10 so $77 each, for us. And also to let them know $27 for the regular salad bar without a meal during non holidays is a bit pricey or we would go more often. We also finally signed up for the Landrys Club ($25) only to find out you can only spend $25 per visit which won't even cover the salad bar! Attended a retirement seminar with dinner. From the get go it was disappointing. The parking lot looks like a mine field with pot holes everywhere, hard to navigate in a car and on foot. When we arrived the hostess had an attitude and just set the wrong mood for the evening. After reading several previous reviews, I was concerned about anniversary dinner date I had with my wife. It started and finished wonderfully. It started with the menus. They had printed our menus to say happy 36th anniversary on top of our menu. Nice touch never expected. Server was terrific. I believe her name was Chloe. We've lived in the Palm Coast or should I say Volusia County Flagler County area for four years. Dining experience is for the most part has been poor to horrible. So much so we quit going out to dinner over the last couple of years. The chart house has given us a place to come back to in the future. My wife, lobster and presentation was perfect. My filet mignon was perfect. Her lobster bisque was wonderful. We will return to this place to this restaurant that is beautifully set at the end of a marina. My wife had the roasted chicken served with the chicken back still attached and the asparagus was inedible . My sister in law has food allergies and cannot eat butter but her mushrooms were served with butter without her knowledge and she ate some of them. My son ended up eating bread and water after he ordered his filete medium to medium well and the steak was charred well He sent it back and waited and waited. Gave him ten percent off.lol .
