I had a great experience at Texas Roadhouse from start to finish. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with a fun, energetic vibe that made the whole visit enjoyable. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, making sure everything was just right throughout the meal. The food was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and cooked exactly how I asked. The steak was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the sides were just as good. You can really tell they put effort into quality and consistency. Of course, the fresh-baked bread with cinnamon butter was a highlight as always. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with great service, delicious food, and a comfortable atmosphere. We ended up here thanks to our 25-year-old son, who received a gift card and declared it was time for us to expand our restaurant horizons. He loves trying new places, especially ones we might normally drive right past. So on a laid-back Sunday, we decided to trust his judgment and go along for the ride. Turns out... good call, kid. This isn't typically our go-to style of food (we tend to eat lighter), but if you're going to do a roadhouse restaurant, this is exactly how it should be done. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had that perfect "casual steakhouse energy" where you immediately start debating whether you should order responsibly... or just go all in. Service can really make or break a first visit, and ours absolutely made it. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and actually knew the menu well enough to make helpful suggestions instead of just pointing at the most expensive thing (we all know the type). Genuine service like that stands out. The food was excellent. Definitely the kind of meal where you say "I don't normally eat like this" while fully continuing to eat like that. But honestly, it's fun to step outside your normal routine once in a while and enjoy something a little more indulgent. The only minor downside for me was the noise level, but that's part of the roadhouse experience. To be fair, the layout and interior design actually do a better-than-average job of keeping the sound from becoming overwhelming. It's lively without being chaotic -- though if you're looking for whisper-quiet dining, this probably isn't your spot. If you're looking for good food and a fun atmosphere, though, you'll fit right in. Overall, we had a really enjoyable experience -- good food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Bonus points for getting us to try somewhere new that we genuinely liked. Have been eating at this location at least once a week for many years. Tonight was by far the worst experience. We were seated in the bar, at a booth. as our food arrived a gentleman sat at the bar directly behind us, immediately we smelled a very strong urine odor. It made it impossible to enjoy our dinner. On the way out the door i asked for the manager. She said it's hard to ask a customer to leave, and said we could have moved. Why should we be the ones to move in the middle of our dinner. She also said this gentleman had been in before. So apparently they are aware of this situation . I feel like I wasted $42.00 plus tip. We have always had good service at this location. read more

Was here on 420 had Kristen as our waitress she was totally amazing very fast service super friendly went out of her way many times to make sure that we were all very comfortable and at the food was good and if we needed anything else, we were celebrating my son-in-law's birthday and she made it all very so special. The food is always amazing and cooked as ordered if I had a business I would definitely want Kristen work for me. She is totally amazing. I hope the next time I visit we have her I'll ask for her. Pricing I feel is reasonable and everything came out in appropriate time. This is a busy fun restaurant with an energetic young staff who work hard and get the food out quickly . However ,we found most of the food , although the portions were large and the prices pretty fair, was not good . The ribs were super fatty and the fat not rendered out , and they were tough . Our family thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered including crispy southern fried catfish & baked sweet potatoes loaded with marshmallows / cinnamon butter. I mean, who would have thought you could get great catfish at a steakhouse!?!?!? The chopped steak with mushrooms & gravy didn't disappoint and the salad plate arrived at a nice cold temperature. I have been here multiple times because my husband really likes it. I have to say it is amazing how they handle such large crowds and the food still comes out pretty quickly. In the past I've been told the Caesar dressing is gluten free but today they told me it wasn't. I ordered salmon and it was very disappointing. It tasted a little fishy and didn't have good seasoning. The server told me the salmon was really good that is why I ordered it. I really appreciate when someone is honest with me - seems like she just said whatever so I'd order. I won't order it again. Usually they give you a large baked potato but today the one they gave me was half the size of my husband's. I can't eat it all but like to take leftovers home for tomorrow. Being a repeat customer usually once or twice a month the last visit on Sunday was very disappointing. Having brought two of my sons who are very healthy eaters we ordered our dinners. When they came out I thought it was a joke. Both of their dinners looked like a child's meal and the only thing of proper size was the side order of fries. I ordered a hamburger that was basically burnt on the outside and actually crunched when you ate it. After eating half of it I gave up. The server (chunkier guy with facial hair and a pony tail) checked on us like twice max and he had a bunch of people doing a bunch of stuff for him, while he was in the bathroom. Went to this location for a night out to meet some friends. Unfortunately as what happens when you have a party larger than two at a lot of restaurants my food was cold. It was my first meal of the day being it was 8pm I just ate it and moved on. Adam was our server he was great and deserves a raise. Super nice and attentive even though the restaurant was very busy we felt tended to throughout the night. I will say my food wasn't the greatest so I wouldn't necessarily come back to this specific location as my first choice but I would still come back to Texas Roadhouse. We had a terrible experience trying to come for my little brothers birthday dinner. We showed up early with two people missing from our party so a young woman named Bailey told us to wait outside. We did wait for about ten minutes outside and then had stepped inside because it was freezing. The other two members of our party got there, we checked again with Bailey, who seemed very annoyed/overwhelmed. We were told to wait on the side while four other groups went ahead of us. It almost seemed like a personal problem instead of a rush , we could see empty tables. Hopefully if we return in the future the front end employees will be trained for customer service. The chicken was super good! I also like the decor and overall vibe of this place when I come it's always cozy. I got the Mac and cheese and I honestly wasn't a fan and somebody else who was in our party there agreed it was super bland and just meh. I ended up giving mine to my boyfriend. I live nearby and have been to this place about 4 times. The quality of the steaks are beyond poor. I ordered the 12 oz strip steak -after asking the bartender John if it was a whole strip or a half- which the 8 oz is( I ordered 8 oz before and got the lower half of the strip)( it was terrible). Upon serving I noticed it didn't look like a strip. The whole steak had a "fat line" in the middle all the way around. I cut all around the edges and sure enough the "grissle" was all the way through. I could not even chew any part and had to spit out the meat on every bite. Amazingly - the guy next to me ordered the 8 oz strip steak- after hearing my ordering and complaining. Sure enough- he could hardly chew it and told the bartender who agreed because of my situation. Yes I got the chopped steak instead to go. Just to say- I've had a lot of strip steaks- which is meat surrounded by the trim- all meat. I suspect pulling this switch of a steak is a common occurrence. Someone should tell the owner cause he's losing customers. I'm done with this place and I'm sharing this with all of my friends. The service was good, the waitress made sure that we had enough rolls and that everything was going OK and also suggested some things when it came to the appetizers which we will try the cactus blossom next time. The only thing I would have to say that needs improvement is the mac & cheese. I like a macaroni and cheese that has thick cheese sauce and very gooey and nice and stretchy but this one the cheese sauce was completely runny. But everything else was really good. Lexi worked her butt off to serve our table of 8 people for a birthday party along with other tables celebrating birthdays. She is AMAZING. We sat at the bar tonight for Veterans day and it was insanely busy. Lexi came over to say "Hi" to us. Only 2 bar staff with full bar. Trista and Josh worked non stop with smiles on their faces. The restaurant was overwhelmingly busy and they were superlative. All 3 of them deserve raises. We live in a demanding world of want it NOW. This restaurant is not a fast food drive up. Started with phone call to be placed on waiting list- host stand personnel got my phone number wrong and mistakes do happen but this person had 0 interest in performing his job that night. Manager was understanding and after I explained her that she was able to fix mistake. Our server was completely disappointed after we refused appetizer and opted for water instead of beer that she offered. She was so fast to go through speal that neither my partner or I heard the part when she asked about shrimps on his steak. Obviously we said yes and got 3 shrimps that he is allergic to for $3.99. She was on verge of being rude. Anyways really bad customer service, really bad dining experience and compared to other locations around US that I went to food was pretty mediocre. Brought my favorite filly to Texas Roadhouse the other night after we'd finished the evening chores. We tried for bar seats but with none available settled for a nearby high top. Introductions were made with our more than competent server, Nancy, who scooted off to fetch us some refreshments. White wine for the lady, domestic beer for the gent...Texas Size Pours on each. You don't come to the roadhouse for gourmet food. You come for the Texas size portions of yummy comfort food. We started with cheese fries with bacon and ranch. Followed that up with generous portions of Country fried chicken (with mashed potatoes and green beans; with plenty of cream gravy) and a Chicken Critter dinner (with Cesar salad and steamed vegetables.) When here don't worry about biting off more than you can chew; your mouth is probably a whole lot bigger you think. Having said that our stomachs could only take so much so we both ended up bringing home leftovers. read more

My wife and I have been to the Texas Roadhouse at the Pavilion in Port Orange many times. Last night we went in and sat at the bar. My wife ordered a wine and I ordered a soda water. We both ordered food. And I ordered a wine with my food. The bill came I paid the bill without looking (my mistake). I paid partially with a gift card I had purchased and partially with my credit car. When I took my copy of the bill I was shocked to discover that had been charged $3.49 for the soda water. When I talk to the bartender, she said that was because I had ordered a soda water first and then the wine second. She explained that if I had ordered the wine first and then the soda water, I would not have been charged for the soda water. I told her I didn't think this was right and she went and got the manager. I explained everything to the manager and she reiterated that because I had ordered soda water and then the wine, I was correctly for the soda water. I said I didn't think that was right that I should be charged for soda water when both my wife and I ordered dinner and a wine each. Then she said that since I had paid partially with a gift card, that the soda water was essentially free! I told her I paid for the gift card so it wasn't free. She said that since I had already paid with my credit card, and there was nothing she could do. I told her that since my wife and I had both had bought dinner and a wine I didn't think I should have to pay $3.49 for a soda water. I told her I shouldn't have to pay anything for a soda water no matter what. She said there was nothing she could do about it. There's a lot of things wrong here. First, why am getting charged for soda water? It's bubbles in water. Second, why wasn't this situation remedied. I told her my wife and and I eat there often and she said yes, she recognized our faces. I know $3.49 is not a lot of money, but it's the principle of the thing. Refund my credit card $3.49. Shouldn't be that hard. She was unhelpful and frankly, disinterested in helping us. So, my wife and I will not be returning to Texas Roadhouse. And I'm going to put this review on Yelp, Google and anywhere else I can leave a review for the Texas Roadhouse. And of course, I will relay this incident to all my friends and everyone at our church. Here I know this place is very busy and probably doesn't care that they've lost ours and our community of friends business. But shame on you! read more
