The bread, as usual, was fantastic. I had the ribs, mashed potatoes and a bowl of chili. Everything was very good, but the ribs... oh the ribs! Perfectly sauced and sooo tender!!!! The only minor downside for me was the noise level, but that's part of the roadhouse experience. To be fair, the layout and interior design actually do a better-than-average job of keeping the sound from becoming overwhelming. It's lively without being chaotic -- though if you're looking for whisper-quiet dining, this probably isn't your spot. I come here a lot. Today was a terrible day I believe so steak came out cold twice. They said they threw it back on the grill which already ate off of and I don't understand how I still came back cold. The mac & cheese was disgusting and usually it's pretty good. I'm just really disappointed. It's one of my favorite restaurants to go to celebrate! Today I truly feel like all my money went to waste. I don't know what was going on. Our bread and butter arrived hot and fresh and our server, Amber, arrived to take our drink order. So, just like last time I inquired about the the BIG ad they have on the menu for their "$5 ALL DAY, every day, 16 oz BEER, Ask your Server " So, I asked, Amber, and got the same exact response "we're out of that beer" To which I replied "can you substitute another beer?" "No, but I can ask the manager." We also had a coupon for a free appetizer so I asked about that too. So Amber checked with the manager and comes back and says "manager said no coupon because it's Father's Day and no, substituitions for the beer. Would you like to speak to a manager?" "Yes" I replied (just like the last time). Amber returns and says manager said "no to the beer but will honor the free appetizer coupon since it's Father's Day" Anyway, the appetizer coupon allowance was appreciated but it seems a little fishy about this alleged $5 ALL DAY Every Day beer being unavailable 2 times on 2 visits that were months apart. So, as always the food and service were outstanding. 5 stars actually but the nonsense of the server having to go back and forth to the manager leaves a negative impression and earns a negative star. Honestly, have a meeting, decide to go with a different beer when your out of this alleged beer and by all means, manager, feel free to stop by the table and check in with your clientele. Tonight my server was Noah, roadhouse was extremely busy he managed to give us more than excellent service very nice overall except that my birthday was not acknowledged. I received a certificate for free appetizer or the onion day after my birthday. It's only good for three days since we had a party of six it would've been nice to have on my birthday. Food is always good and consistent. We usually ask for Kristen but she wasn't there tonight. Noah refilled everything and kept on top of everything. I'm just disappointed about the appetizer. Have been eating at this location at least once a week for many years. Tonight was by far the worst experience. We were seated in the bar, at a booth. as our food arrived a gentleman sat at the bar directly behind us, immediately we smelled a very strong urine odor. It made it impossible to enjoy our dinner. On the way out the door i asked for the manager. She said it's hard to ask a customer to leave, and said we could have moved. Why should we be the ones to move in the middle of our dinner. She also said this gentleman had been in before. So apparently they are aware of this situation . I feel like I wasted $42.00 plus tip. We have always had good service at this location. read more

I had a great experience at Texas Roadhouse from start to finish. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with a fun, energetic vibe that made the whole visit enjoyable. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, making sure everything was just right throughout the meal. The food was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and cooked exactly how I asked. The steak was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the sides were just as good. You can really tell they put effort into quality and consistency. We always dine here when in town. Me and my boys got the filet which was very tender and perfectly cooked. All the sides were solid and delicious yeast rolls before mains. Pricing I feel is reasonable and everything came out in appropriate time. They still have peanuts at table but now served in a bag, I believe they may still have peanut bucket up front but not 100% sure. They also offer a virtual online wait-list. However ,we found most of the food , although the portions were large and the prices pretty fair, was not good . The ribs were super fatty and the fat not rendered out , and they were tough . Our family thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered including crispy southern fried catfish & baked sweet potatoes loaded with marshmallows / cinnamon butter. It was my first meal of the day being it was 8pm I just ate it and moved on. Adam was our server he was great and deserves a raise. Super nice and attentive even though the restaurant was very busy we felt tended to throughout the night. I will say my food wasn't the greatest so I wouldn't necessarily come back to this specific location as my first choice but I would still come back to Texas Roadhouse. The server (chunkier guy with facial hair and a pony tail) checked on us like twice max and he had a bunch of people doing a bunch of stuff for him, while he was in the bathroom. Our food was good once it was fixed. They were cleaning and acting like we were nuisances for just being there while they cleaned (we left at 9:40, they close at 11). Our server Cheyenne served up a half slab of fall off the bone ribs with baked potato, sour cream and butter, and a side of perfectly prepared green beans, My wife ordered a medium well 6 oz sirloin with green beans and corn, also well seasoned and cooked. As I was doing the order the Texas Roadhouse in Port Orange didn't show chicken critters as a family meal option. I called and inquired about the chicken critter family meal and was told that other Texas Roadhouse's have the chicken critter family meal but they do not offer this family meal at the Texas Roadhouse in Port Orange. I am was very disappointed because we have grandchildren staying at the house and that is what kids eat. Not happy and will remember this when I am deciding where to go out to eat. read more

Jordan is the best server ever! We have a disabled man in our party with one arm. He makes sure they cut his food before it comes out. I have been here multiple times because my husband really likes it. I have to say it is amazing how they handle such large crowds and the food still comes out pretty quickly. In the past I've been told the Caesar dressing is gluten free but today they told me it wasn't. I ordered salmon and it was very disappointing. It tasted a little fishy and didn't have good seasoning. The server told me the salmon was really good that is why I ordered it. I really appreciate when someone is honest with me - seems like she just said whatever so I'd order. I won't order it again. Usually they give you a large baked potato but today the one they gave me was half the size of my husband's. I can't eat it all but like to take leftovers home for tomorrow. The chicken was super good! I also like the decor and overall vibe of this place when I come it's always cozy. I got the Mac and cheese and I honestly wasn't a fan and somebody else who was in our party there agreed it was super bland and just meh. I ended up giving mine to my boyfriend. When they came out I thought it was a joke. Both of their dinners looked like a child's meal and the only thing of proper size was the side order of fries. I ordered a hamburger that was basically burnt on the outside and actually crunched when you ate it. After eating half of it I gave up. Normally I would have said something to the waitress but from the very start she was some what rude and obviously didn't want to be working yesterday. We had a terrible experience trying to come for my little brothers birthday dinner. We showed up early with two people missing from our party so a young woman named Bailey told us to wait outside. We did wait for about ten minutes outside and then had stepped inside because it was freezing. The other two members of our party got there, we checked again with Bailey, who seemed very annoyed/overwhelmed. We were told to wait on the side while four other groups went ahead of us. It almost seemed like a personal problem instead of a rush , we could see empty tables. Hopefully if we return in the future the front end employees will be trained for customer service. I live nearby and have been to this place about 4 times. The quality of the steaks are beyond poor. I ordered the 12 oz strip steak -after asking the bartender John if it was a whole strip or a half- which the 8 oz is( I ordered 8 oz before and got the lower half of the strip)( it was terrible). Upon serving I noticed it didn't look like a strip. The whole steak had a "fat line" in the middle all the way around. I cut all around the edges and sure enough the "grissle" was all the way through. I could not even chew any part and had to spit out the meat on every bite. Amazingly - the guy next to me ordered the 8 oz strip steak- after hearing my ordering and complaining. Sure enough- he could hardly chew it and told the bartender who agreed because of my situation. Yes I got the chopped steak instead to go. Just to say- I've had a lot of strip steaks- which is meat surrounded by the trim- all meat. I suspect pulling this switch of a steak is a common occurrence. Someone should tell the owner cause he's losing customers. I'm done with this place and I'm sharing this with all of my friends.
