    I came to this shop specifically to have my bike dyno tuned. I normally go to the likes of Slabsides (Campbell) or other south bay shops, but RC Cycles has a good rep for dyno-tuning Harleys. They have two daily time slots at around 11 and 1pm to tune your bike. They are fairly booked in this regard so I had to book about 3/4 weeks in advance. I received a call the day before my appointment to remind me of the appointment AND to have a full tank of gas and to bring my power vision. The only negative was I had an appointment at 11, but I had to wait 30/40min since Bob was stuck in traffic coming down. Once I met Bob, things were off to a good start. He asked me some questions on how I felt the bike was running, any issues, mods, then proceeded to ride my bike around. Then boom onto the dyno and getting it tuned. I sat in the room the entire time as I surfed the web on my phone while watching him do his magic. He explained to me how the ion knock sensors work on the Harley, and how he'll tune the bike. He did a few runs at various loads to get the VE maps setup properly for everyday riding, then he went into it for full throttle runs. I was able to get more power out of my bike from the over the counter tune that FuelMoto gave me, but overall the bike ran much much smoother. I would say it took him a solid 2+ hours to get my bike tuned. I have the target tune on my bike so I'll proceed further to get it a tad smoother for everyday riding, but overall I'm impressed with my jump in HP and Torque. Note that my bike bone stock makes about 82HP, 102TQ. Stage 1 about 90HP 110TQ. And with my cam I'm at 109HP, 122TQ so +27HP and +20TQ. Note that I am reviewing purely on the dyno services. I've not come here for regular service or other customize or mechanical work.

    Took my 2009 Road King in for a Dynotune. I thought it ran great before taking it in and mainly wanted to find out my HP and Torque numbers. What I found out was Bob was able to squeeze out 12 more ft lbs of Torque and 8 more horsepower while smoothing out the Torque Curve. Not only are the Dyno numbers awesome but the ride afterwards felt like a bike that just had a big bore installed. Bob got my 96" Stock Bore Twin Cam up to 108.5 TQ and 96.12 HP. I have Andrews 48H Cams and a Jackpot 2:1 exhaust and can crush a Stage 1 Rushmore 103. Highly Recommend RC Cycles and Bob for your V-Twin tuning needs!

    Took my bike to RC Cycles to have it dyno tuned. OMG what a difference! Couldn't be happier with the results. Not only did Bob educate me he made my bike run the way it should! If you're thinking about tuning your bike they're the guys you need to take it to! I promise you'll love the results.

    This place knows how to dyno tune and was able to get my 2020 Road Glide with a stage 2 running like a race horse.

    I purchased a brand new 2021 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 from East Bay Motor, along with an extended…read morewarranty. After only 42 hours of use, the engine failed. From that point, the experience was unacceptable. The jet ski sat at their facility for 10 months, left outside and uncovered, exposed to the elements. There was no urgency, no communication, and no basic care for customer property. Instead of standing behind the product, they pushed me to pay $9,500+ for a replacement engine, despite the extremely low hours. They also supported a claim that the spark plug in the engine was not original at the time of failure ,which is not accurate and this contributed directly to the denial of both warranty and insurance. Because I lost trust, I sourced my own replacement engine (18 hours) and shipped it to them. It then took another 3 months just to install it. When I picked up the jet ski: * The trailer hitch was damaged * The electrical adapter was missing * The cooling system had 0% coolant (which could have destroyed the engine again immediately) * My new lithium battery was missing, replaced with an old 2020 battery * The jet pump assembly was shaking, indicating improper installation I was told missing items would be sent to me. Nothing was sent. After waiting over a month, I had to purchase everything myself. Now I have to take the jet ski to another shop to correct the issues. Bottom line: This was not just poor service -- it was negligence, lack of accountability, and unprofessional handling of a major repair. I strongly recommend thinking twice before trusting this shop with your equipment.

They put the "sport" back into the sport touring. They did some additional tuning work with their basic service that certainly contributed to the end result. The pro is they're one of the few dealers that sells new Yamahas around San Jose and they're open Sundays. That being said, I do not like their customer service at times. When I'm interested in a bike, they pull it out and let me see it. But there was a time I went with a bike I purchased at the dealership I always go. The employee at GP sports asked me where I got it and when I told them where, he laughed and said something like "they're not a real dealer, we're the real ones" and spoke a bit more talking down on the dealership I got my bike at. It felt very unwelcoming and uncomfortable because I felt very attacked since my choice and my motorcycle was talked down on. Don't get me wrong, they were probably joking but I always get some arrogant and cocky feel from a lot of their older employees. They feel very corporate. Another time, they showed no compassion and left it at "it's policy, we can't take in service bikes on Sunday" when my acquaintance crashed his bike right across the shop in the parking lot and wanted to leave it with them for a repair. Their service department was going to open Tuesday, and told us to tow the bike home and tow it back Tuesday. We decided to just take it home and repair ourselves. It is fair for them to have boundaries but the arrogant, "it's your fault" feel they had and con compassion made the experience very bad. I am coming from a very welcoming dealer that I believe would at least call the boss to see if they can take the bike in so I was very unpleasant. The younger employees and some other employees are very friendly and nice so it hurts to leave this review, but as a whole, it was never a great experience going there. It seems like I'm not the only one since I hear bad things about them, and you can read the other reviews for yourself :(

Nini at the front desk was absolutely perfect for the job imo: compassionate, reassuring, and exactly what a first-timer needs before throwing a leg over a bike for the first time for real. Freddie and Henry were great too, really easy dudes to talk to and very helpful with sharing tips and other pointers for me. I'll be honest, I dropped the bike an equal number of times on both sides over the weekend, all at zero mph (embarassing af). Symmetrically bruised ego, perfectly balanced. Returning it felt intimidating, but the whole team handled it with zero judgment and genuine professionalism. I didn't try to hide anything and they made the whole process painless, albeit with some monetary penalties caused by my inexperience (I own up to this though). I'm leaving with my wallet lighter but with my heart genuinely fuller for the experience. The environment this shop creates for nervous beginners like me is genuinely rare, and it made me feel supported and motivated to come back and do better next time. Will absolutely be back for my next rental and keep getting ride time in, because real experience gained like I did is priceless. The human element of the shop is just cherry on top, and makes me feel good I'm supporting a local business. Shoutout to Nini, Freddie, and Henry. You made a squid feel welcome.
