I'm giving you 5 stars because sometimes there may be easy fixes, and they may rate you highly but when you take a difficult problem and make it right that stands above all else. I will share my story.... we had our truck fixed here when the shop was run by different management and at that time they gave us a warranty. Well several months later the truck started running roughly again and we took it back in, but the management had changed and they were unfamiliar with the problem. This is when I think they earned their worth. They could have just said, sorry not my monkey, not my circus, but they said they would stand behind their work regardless. Replacing and fixing everything that needed to be done. I definitely recommend this place. They stand behind there work and are some straight up people. read more

Well, I know how it goes, but customer service is needed here. 2 months holding vehicle and never answered the phone. He rebuilt the transmission vs saying getting another transmission. The communication isn't there and the price $2500 then picking it up $3400 became the price. read more

Paid 2500$ a year ago to fix a transmission. Which it lasted 5months working. I had warranty so I took it back car it's being at the shop for more than 6 months. Every time we called Avery body was clue less. Person who answered didn't even know what car I was talking about. When somebody actually knew something about it they kept telling me it was going to be ready by the next week for 4months. To know my car was parked at Publix for a while when they didn't have a clue about the car I even took pictures of the car. They had my car ready 2 days ago. I called yesterday telling them I would go today morning and they said they had it in Marietta. The guy had an attitude the whole time, didn't even let me talk and hang up on me. -The first time I took the car I had a good customer service by Josh and the owner of the place and nothing seemed sketchy till the second time I took it. read more

My automatic transmission was slipping in my 09 Jeep Wrangler 4x4 back in July 2024. As this is my daily driver I had no time for scams or delays with this repair. RC transmissions gave me the best quote by far, but what about quality and timing etc.? I had never heard of these guys before so I was very sceptical. I was fortunate enough to bump into the owner (Perry) on my second visit to the shop ( I was really trying to do my due diligence). Perry answered all of my questions relating to the business, asurred me that I was in good hands, and asked me personally for my business. We shook hands and I left him with the vehicle. In the end I found him to be a man of his word. The rebuild was done in about a week, faster than anyone else told me they could get to it, and 6 months later I am happy to report no leaks, or transmission issues whatsoever. I took my time before writing this review to make sure that nothing broke before I said anything. Completely unresponsive. Called them 3-12 per day. Voicemail box is full so I cannot leave a message. No callbacks (even though I've been promised several times). They had my vehicle for almost 3 months. Now I'm being told to come pick it up because it's supposedly ready, but the vehicle has been transferred to the Marietta facility which closes at 1800 and is not open on the weekends, so now I have to figure out how to pick up my vehicle from Marietta during work hours. I am attempting to have the vehicle sent back to the Duluth facility (where I originally brought the vehicle to). And once again, unresponsive. Finally was able to make contact with someone at the Marietta facility and request to have my vehicle be taken back to Duluth, but the person is completely clueless as to what I'm talking about. After about 15 minutes on hold, I was told someone would call me. (I'm NOT holding my breath). So, I am going to make an assumption that it most likely will NOT be transferred back. When I finally got in touch with someone they placed me on hold and went home. Absolutely atrocious service. I would rather pull my own teeth out with pliers without anesthesia than to go back to that garbage dump again. read more

Great service, i had taken my truck to two other shops prior and they couldn't figure out the problem, brought it here and they ran a diagnostic and tested it out and within hours had me a report. Quickly started to fix the problem too and now my transmission is back to normal again. Great help great prices and quick response time! While I can't speak to the work they have done, because I am yet to receive my car I want to review RC transmission to the best of my ability. When I initially called, Josh, was quick to respond, call me back, quote me and claim to have started the work. I was initially told that I was only being charged a small deposit on my credit card to pay for the parts needed. Silly me to believe that, $3300 later, charged the next day. Now, lets talk about the next 4.5 weeks that have gone by. First, Mike was working on my car, but Mike got sick, something I can totally understand in the age of COVID, however, no one at the shop communicated anything with me. After a week, I was told 7 - 10 days, I called and was told to call back because Josh was not in the shop and the older man who answered the phone was totally clueless. Eventually after 6 phone calls that day, 5 of which I was promised Josh would call back, he didn't, I got through to Josh who told me that the car would not be done before Thanksgiving. A small inconvenience but something I could handle, considering I was told it would be done right after the holiday and would have it back in my possession the following week on Monday. Well Monday came and went, even after calling on Friday and speaking with Josh again, while I was out of town and assured that I would have the car by Monday. So that brings us to Tuesday, another 6 calls and 6 promises by the older man that Josh would be calling back, well he didn't. I finally got through and was told that they had ordered a new part and I would get the car back on Thursday. I waited until Thursday at 3:30 to call, at this time the older man had told me that Josh left for a family emergency and won't be back until Tuesday of next week. I asked him if he had any information on my car as now they have had it for 3 weeks. He couldn't tell me anything. I told him at this point that someone needs to reach out to me with some sort of info. Later that day, Mike, from the Marrietta location called. He promised me the car would be done on Monday and he would call me back if it wasn't. Well, Monday came and went, Mike never called, Josh never called, no one called. Car still not done. Finally on Tuesday, I got a hold of Josh who told me they were still waiting on another part and it would be in later that afternoon, installed and the car would be done Wednesday. Now it is Wednesday, and at 3:00 I had to reach out to Josh again to find out about my car. Even though I was told that my car was the shops priority, at 3:30 pm, it was still not complete and won't be until tomorrow afternoon. I hope that their work is better than their communication because frankly this has been the worst automotive repair experience I have ever dealt with in my entire life. There are so many other places that you could use, avoid RC Transmission like the plague. read more

READ THE REVIEWS! There is a reason there are so many negative reviews. We took our truck into RC Transmission in 2023 for a transmission rebuild. Within months of the 'rebuild' the work failed. We tried to contact the shop to take advantage of the 12 month warranty to find out they had closed their doors. After 3 other shops confirmed the ongoing issues had to do with a faulty transmission I contacted the owners of RC Transmission Marietta, LLC to seek recourse privately and hope they would do the honorable thing by refunding our money so we could pay a more reputable shop to fix the transmission correctly. I was basically told by their attorney that Perry has another shop in Duluth and would look at the work and offer a 12 month warranty. NO CHANCE WE WOULD EVER TRUST THEM WITH A VEHICLE AGAIN. They had our truck for 3 weeks, charged us $3000 to not fix the issue. BEWARE. I thought i had the right place but i was wrong. I took my car here in july 19 and was quoted $800 for 350th rebuild. Picked up to get a $1200 bill. I was told my radiator line was pinched and i should not drive it. I towed the car and had radiatior put in to find a trans leak. Also to find my rearveiw mirror gone. Once i took it back i was told, well we didnt test drive it because of the raidiator and the mirrow was old you can just glue it on. That wasnt the point i should have been told. Then they call me back to say they see oil leaks like i dont know the diffrence between oil and trans fluid. I felt once they had my money they didnt even try to solve their issue.I should not have puddles in my garage. I saved money because i love my car so i didnt jave money to give Way. Now im just scared to take the car to anyone. Thanks for nothing. Out $1200 and still have a dam leak. Do not trust them with your old schools. Perry and RC Transmission get a 5+ rating in my book. Perry went above and beyond to answer all of my detailed questions. He also took pictures throughout the process of replacing transmission and differential seals, torque convertor, and rear engine main seal in our prized family 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ 4X4. RC Transmission labor pricing was very competitive. Perry did not charge extra labor costs to replace seals that were accessible by pulling the transmission (which had to be done for the main repair.) The parts cost were close to what I could purchase the parts for myself, not the 2 to 3 times markup of other transmission shops. Lastly, the cost to tow my vehicle 50+ miles was half the cost I found with my own shopping. I contacted three other highly rated, local transmission repair shops. They were not prepared to answer my detailed questions or just did not care. If you have any transmission maintenance or repair needs, I cannot more highly recommend RC Transmission. read more

Do not go to this place. These people do not respond, communicate or care about their customers. They kept our vehicle for 5 weeks, we paid them upfront, and finally we had to get our vehicle, buying a new battery for it to start and dispute the charge with our merchant. I'm trying to tell you the worst nightmare experience of my life here for almost a month.They are liars and have no knowledge of cars. I left the car on August 15th, and they kept lying, and eventually did not fix it on September 9 for almost a month. He delayed the repair date by lying five times.  They were a mess of management.  No calls are made and no calls are made.  If you are fortunate to speak to a woman there she will tell you I don't know. She is really really a strange woman. During month of my car repairs, only two phone calls were successful.  He said my car had a transmission failure.  He said confidently that he could make repairs.  He did not repair it for nearly a month, however. "Old car is hard to get parts. Now the part is coming. One part is not yet. All parts come in two or three days to fix." But almost a month later, on September 9th, there was no part.  He continued to lie.  You never trust their website.  Rumor has it that business people these days use friends to manipulate Google and Yelp reviews as five-stars. I had the car repaired at another shop and diagnosed there and said it wasn't a transmission but an alternator.  I was absurd.  It's been almost a month, and he completed the repair in a day and now I'm on the road. There are too many human beings in the world, like parasites, who live with human masks and who are not experts but lie pretending to be experts. Honestly doesn't even deserve a star. Took my truck to get a problem figured out. They took it in a test drive while I was in the car. After telling them not to turn hard or tight or with any u turns they decided not to listen and in fact did 2 u turns in my lifted truck and destroyed my driver side tire. Not only that why on the test drive Josh the front man was absolutely beating on my truck hammering in the gas. When I asked them if they would replace them he tire he got hostile and called me fat boy and told me to leave his shop. read more

The Team at RC Transmission do a great job of analyzing your transmission issues, providing solutions and fair pricing, so that you can decide what you want to do. I had a Transmission "Kit" installed there in 2016 (May) on my 1996 Honda Accord, and they told me it would take some time for the Transmission to "learn" the motor, etc. I was easy on it at first, then it "learned" each other and now shifts smooth, up & down the gear ratios. The new kit allowed me to get another 2 years out of the car, (now Nov. 2018) and still going strong. The Kit was a good $700+ less than a full transmission replacement quoted by the National Chains. My car needed a new transmission, per the dealership and the cost was very expensive; however I REGRET not allowing them to do it because RC Transmission was nothing but a NIGHTMARE. I took my car to Josh on 3/4, he was excited to get my business and told me it would take 5 days, well that was not true. I did not pick up my car until 3/24. I called and there were excuses, he would not answer the phone, I texted him with no reply and I had to constantly drive to the shop to get a status update. They sent my car to Marietta without my knowledge or permission. They took it apart twice after putting the transmission in it because it was not working. I finally got my car back on 3/24 and I am thinking everything is good. On 4/25, it started the same problem, no acceleration and reverse. My son almost got hit twice because it died in the middle of a busy street. I called Josh right away and he said his parking lot was full and to bring it on 4/27, again I had to drive to his shop because he does not answer the phone. He wanted me to pay to have it towed to him and I said No. He sent a tow truck to get it. I never heard from him and again, I had to drive to his shop. I called on 5/2 to let them know I was coming to the shop, they locked the doors early and someone was still there. I could see them inside. He stated it was leaking transmission oil, but he looked for 7 days and could not find it. He sent it back to Marietta again. I advised him that I wanted my car on 5/5 and he said, he is sorry if his service is not quick enough for me. I got it the next morning, he said he found and fixed the leak in less than 24 hours, we pulled out of the parking lot and it died again in the middle of PIB. Towed it to the dealership and there were 4 transmission codes. They said it's so bad, they have to replace the transmission and it's very expensive, but I know I want be ignored or lied to. I stress to anyone that is considering taking their car to RC Transmission to truly reconsider. His BBB rating is a F and consumer stated he sued him and won because Josh never showed up for the court date. read more
