More than five years later, the hall bathroom still does not have a completed tub or shower. Throughout this entire process, there has been excuse after excuse, promises that the work would be finished, and repeated commitments that were never honored. Delays can happen on any construction project, but five years is beyond unreasonable--especially after being paid in full. Communication has been inconsistent, and every time it seemed like there was finally going to be progress, another excuse would follow. If you're considering hiring this contractor, I strongly recommend getting everything in writing, avoiding full payment until all work is completed to your satisfaction, and carefully considering whether this is someone you want to trust with your home. Leon responded quickly to my inquiry and came to check it out the next day. He made us feel reassured that we could do as much or as little as we wanted. We started with designing our home and he provided a significant amount of revisions which was so appreciated by building newbies like us. Leon was thoughtful in his suggestions and you can tell that he is enthusiastic about design and the building process. Once the design was complete, Leon personally handled all the permitting and reviews with the city. At that point we were ready to start building! We started designing in June, submitted to city around October, and were cleared to break ground by March. Construction was prompt, clean, and on track, both monetarily and timeline (and bonus, all right as the world was shutting down for the pandemic!). We moved in on November 15. Leon stands by his work and if anything goes wrong, he's there to make it right. He is just a really good guy. I would hire his team again for our next project!
