Hired Dave to work on my house putting in recessed lighting and a couple ceiling fans. He told me he would finish the job in 2/3 days, March 28-30. He was supposed to show up at 9am and showed up at 2pm. Only got one ceiling fan in that first day. Didn't show up at all the next day. The following day he showed up late again worked on 2 more rooms and left a bunch of holes in the wall. After that day he never showed up again. Made plans with him on the phone for him to finish up 2 weeks later on a wed. After a few minutes past 9 am that wed and wasn't here, he said he's at another job and "totally forgot". Told me he'd grab some guys and try to head over and call me in an hour. I called him 2 hours later and was dodging my calls. Called him the next day, never answered. I then proceeded to call him on another # and he answered on the first ring. Due to the lack of professionalism on his part I have asked him to refund my 50% upfront money I gave him minus what he has done. Yelled at me on the phone was very unprofessional told me my house was f*ed up and I owe him. I have never received my refund for the amount of work he left behind. I am now going through small claims to get my money back. Not trustworthy, has every excuse in the world on why he couldn't finish a 2/3 day job after 4 weeks. He either was late to every single appt. or canceled. We were more than understanding and accommodating with his personal issues. Needed a door fixed, reached out to a few handymen and David responded quickly. I sent him a couple pictures of the broken door, he let me know, in detail, what needed to be done and gave me a rough estimate. I also had a specific day and time I was available and David was able to accommodate. Once he arrived ( with his son ) they fixed the door perfectly, making sure to go pick up the exact parts that were needed at a local hardware store. I also asked David look at another door that is not closing properly, he gave me a very reasonable quote for that job! Highly recommend! We will be using trade works for future projects. read more

This solely reflects my personal experience with Tradeworks, so take it with a grain of salt. In January, we contacted TradeWorks Handyman Service to address a water leakage issue damaging our flooring. While the initial inspection and removal of flooring were prompt, subsequent appointments lacked progress and communication. We tried to be understanding of their situation but were met with excuse after excuse. A month later, with no resolution in sight, we requested a refund due to dissatisfaction. Instead of acknowledging their shortcomings, TradeWorks demanded additional funds. Their invoice revealed discrepancies, including charges for services never rendered and a demand for material costs which was already included in the deposit. When we asked for receipts, they lowered the charges initially requested. We also discovered (on our own) that the source of the leak was not the toilet, as suggested by this company, but the sink, which added to the frustration since unnecessary labor and time had already been invested. The overall experience was a significant waste of time, money, and patience. Save yourself from the financial burden, wasted time, and unnecessary stress that we endured due to their unprofessional conduct! read more

Dave did an incredible job! if you're looking for a local handyman service i highly recommend Trade Works Handyman Service. Work done: Installed 3 fans for me, 1 outdoor fan on the patio and 2 inside in the office and family room, 1 new outlet, and repaired a broken fence post. I was able to get an appointment within a couple of days! He was on time and came prepared. He has a lot of experience and knew exactly what to do. When we ran into some issues, he had the right tools to fix it right then and there!He went beyond expectations by doing the job right to make sure I was happy, versus just getting the job done. We contracted Dave to install recessed lighting in our kitchen in Dec. 2022 . It is now Feb. 10th, and I have experienced nothing but excuse after excuse as to why the job wasn't begun. Numerous scheduling was given me to start the project and numerous excuses why the job couldn't be started. We gave Dave $350 deposit which I assume he will never return even though we sent him a few e-mails requesting the $. I have to assume this is the way he conducts business on a regular basis. Last week I had David come out to install ring floodlight cameras. I asked him how much he would charge and the prices was very reasonable. David that day had called me to tell me he was running late due to an unforeseen circumstance. But at least he called to let me know not like some other contractors and repair men. The best handyman service period! Professional, polite, and hardworking. The process was simple and the rate was reasonable. We had a remodeling company come out and quote a small remodeling project in one of our bedrooms. We thought we had hired the right guy. Wrong! They never showed up on time and ultimately left the job halfway done. After several attempts to get them to finish, we looked for a handyman in Rancho Cucamonga. We contacted Dave with TradeWorks and he came out the next day for a thorough inspection and estimate of the work. He quoted us to complete the job and correct portions of the job that had obviously been done incorrectly. He was professional and never engaged in trash talking the previous contractor. This was a big surprise being that every other contractor we received estimates from did exactly that. We accepted the quote from TradeWorks and he started right away. It literally took 4 days to finish, (we were originally quoted 10 days) including the time it took to remove and replace some electrical work the previous contractor did. The work we received from TradeWorks was nothing but high quality and with a professional attitude. We have recommended Dave several times and he has done work for neighbors, friends and family.
