Perish, from Rose Automotive Repair, recommended RCR back when my 1998 Ford Mustang GT first needed to have a smog test. I've been using them ever since. They used to be in Spring Valley, same as Rose Automotive, but have now relocated to El Cajon. If my horses don't pass the smog test, I take it to Rose Auto and they fix whatever the issues are, so it passes. This takes out the guess work of knowing if you are getting ripped off from your car repairs. read more

I tried to get my smog done early, since this place is near my house I decided to smog my car here. The parking lot is fairly small and when I arrived I noticed a vehicle getting repaired. I thought this place was a TEST ONLY smog station and the kind gentleman asked me to come back a little later. I agreed and a few days afterwards I went back and the shop was closed. I thought that was also odd because it was a weekday and was closed at 1600 when operation hours are from 700-1700 hours Monday-Friday. I then tried one more time at 900 the next morning and it was still closed. I definitely was disappointed and would not select this place for smog if your in a hurry. read more

I am so glad I came here for an oil change. It's a family run shop and I would rather give my money to a honest, small, shop then the big chains for an oil change. I called the day before and they told me they see people first come first serve so I brought it in the next morning. The service was quick and reasonably priced. The kicker was that the owner told me that the last place I took my car to get an oil change, they never changed the oil!!! They only changed the filter and he had to flush out the old oil. He didn't have to tell me that. I liked his honesty. I also love that he has his kids art on the walls, a TV, magazines and a water station for his customers.
