I made an appointment at the Santee Discount Tire for Saturday at 12:30 PM for a tire rotation on the Tundra. We arrived early around 11:00 to drop the truck. We were going to walk around and then have lunch. We were in no hurry for the truck to be finished and we let them know that. At 11:15 I was alerted via text that the truck was in a bay. Wow! In a bay an hour and 15 minutes before its scheduled appointment. 11:45 I received another text. Vehicle is finished and ready for pick-up. Tire rotation, balance and air check - free of charge. I had a low pressure tire and went to the gas station and the air pump was not working properly and took out more air, so I went to Discount Tire and Ishmael pumped up all my tires. Not to mention the top tier service I always get when I go in, from checking my tire pressure, to rotating my tires, and buying new tires. Kevin helped me get 4 new tires today, I got a discount off of the total because the previous tires I had purchased from them were still within their warranty guaranteed mileage range for the tires - so awesome, and easy! Be careful with this store. I bought four new tires for my truck there and noticed that the installer didn't put the caps back on each tire and the worst part is that they didn't put my factory lug nuts back on one of the wheels. The lug nut looked like it was off an old trailer. I mean, Cmon.. I don't take my vehicles to a shop to have it molested. read more

Customer service. I don't know if Linn is the manager, but he is a bully, very disrespectful and rude. My elderly husband came in. He was told he had to buy four new tires. Because the tires he had on his car were old. He had a flat tire and just wanted it inflated with air. They insisted they could not do that and insisted to buy four new tires. He said he wanted the car back so he could get it inflated, they drove it back out to the parking space on the flat tire and ruin the tire so it couldn't be inflated at all. I've never seen anybody treat anybody so rudely and cruel as he treated my husband. I was waiting in the car and went inside because he was taking so long.. People in line were staring at this man and the way he was talking to my husband was abominable. Will never go back. And we have used them for over 15 years for our many cars in our family. read more

Good price got me in the door. Once replacement for 5 new tires was completed it was poor customer service after that. Be aware that they did not do an alignment, which I thought was standard. They handed me the keys and I searched for my vehicle, couldn't find it and had to wait around until a service rep was available to track it down. They had parked it on the far side of a large parking lot in a strip mall. Would have been nice if I was directed to where it was located after I paid. Then I noticed that the spare was in the bed of the truck, not in the spare tire holder! Once again I had to find someone to help with that. Johnny Peralta (sp?) was the only employee that took the time to help me. He reinstalled it in the holder and was professional and helpful. I think it took longer to find my truck, have the spare tire reinstalled than it took to replace all of the tires. What a waste of my time. I will never go to that location again. read more

Recently, I had a tire that was going flat and wasn't quite sure why. Remembering I'd bought a tire from discount tires once before I went to the shop. What we discovered was a bolt on the tire. My choice was to get a new tire or try to have it fixed. I remembered having a policy that covered the tire For hazards like this. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was still in place. They fix the tire without a problem. Despite the line before a holiday, it was done very quickly, much to my surprise. The person who helped me seemed unfazed by the number of people, waiting to be served, and made sure that the proper amount of time was taken to help me. The only thing that needed a small fix is that they overinflated the tire. Other than that, it was great. I'm sure I'll be back when the next problem arises. read more

CUSTOMER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!! I went into discount tires to purchase tires for my Tesla Model Y. I bought one set of tires and when I went out to drive my car home, I noticed they had put another cheaper brand of tires on my car. It was like a bait and switch concept. I went back into the store and the manager said it was a misunderstanding. He made every excuse in the book why the salesman put the cheaper tires on my car. The manager finally put a set of Good Year tires with foam on my car, hoping to make me happy. I was upset. I'm a senior lady and they were going to take of advantage of me. But, I fooled them, I'm smarter than they are. Please be careful and check Your tires and make sure you get the tires you purchased. Great crew and great service. Stopped in for my monthly air check, ended up on of my run flats had a screw in it and pressure was way down. The tech, Lynn, took all my info and directed me to the guys at the front desk. Tire needed to be replaced, not just repaired. My tire was under warranty, so no charge for the new one. Unfortunately they didn't have my exact tire, they put in order to get it in by next day. Got the call my toe was in next day. There was a mix up with the ordering of the tire and now it would be coming in from out of state and wouldn't be available until the following day. My tire did arrive and as soon as it was in, they let me know and they able to get it on and I was all set. All of the associates and techs were very professional which I appreciated considering how last minute everything was and with the mix up. I had an appointment to have two new tires placed on my car. My appointment was at 9 and by 9:15 I was on my way. But, by the time I got home, my tire pressure light was on. As soon as I got out of my car I could hear the air coming out of my left rear tire. (One that I just paid for) I immediately went back to Discount Tire and they took my car in right away. Unbenounced to me, an allen wrench had punctured my tire and did internal damage. Dennis assisted me and had a new tire on my car within 10 minutes; free of charge. Steven is a CHAMP. I went to Mira Mesa Discount Tires and they put freeway tires in the front and off road tires in the back. I'm no tire expert but it was an absolute safety hazard besides eyesore. My truck was fishtailing, shaking when I put on the brakes or vibrating when I got to 60 mph. To fix this was going to cost me even more money. When contacted that evening, they offered no help and simply said "get it to us in the morning" even though they didn't close for another hour. Ordered tires and was given a time when they would arrive and they were two hours late. When they arrived I was waiting in the appointment line but for some reason they kept taking people in the walk in line causing an even longer wait time for me. Zero point for making appointments. So I started here at 9am and now they're saying it won't be down till 7am because of them putting walk ins in front off appointments. It's chaotic there and they gotta straighten up. read more

Do not take your vehicle here. Spent $2300 on tires and they broke three studs off three different tires. Service manager Steven had an attitdue like who cares...happens all the time. Had my F150 serviced at a local Ford dealership and they snapped a lug nut in half on my front driver side wheel while rotating my tires. Dealership told me they could not remove the remaining part of the lug nut and I would have to take it somewhere else. Took my F150 to Discount Tire in Santee and they were cautiously optimistic they could remove it. After several attempts by a couple of techs, (and destroying their lug nut key) they were able to remove the remaining part of the lug nut. They put on the new set of lug nuts I purchased and all was good. There is no quit in this team. Excellent team and service! read more
