Another landscaper wanted 500 - 1000 dollars just to consult and draw a pretty picture of what our yard *could* look like. Then I reached out to BAM's. Initially I reached out just about the front and side yards and sent them pictures. They offered me quote based on what I wanted done (spring cleanup and mulch installation), and I accepted. They quickly got me scheduled and when the day came, they did just an amazingly efficient job (much, much faster than I ever thought possible) and a very thorough one (it wasn't just fast, it was well done). The three guys who did the work were just incredibly friendly and professional, and did the beds in the backyard too, much to my very happy surprise (the quote wasn't in fact limited to the front and sides, but I was so overwhelmed with what I thought were the worst parts of the yard, I neglected that fact). My wife can now walk outside without feeling overwhelmed about all there is to do. I would work again with BAM's in a heartbeat.

This excuse is not logical or valid, just like your charges. - Thank you for clarifying that I lived within 10 seconds of your business so it would not have been a hassle to come back on a non-rainy day. - Thank you for demonstrating that you took more time to respond to this public review than the many emails I sent you. I did not want to drudge up more drama or for this business to threaten to disclose my private information and address. There's a reason I waited until I moved across the country to post this reviewed. I was scared! Giving this business your credit card is a carte blanche for them to rack up charges. You are not charged for each visit, but for months at a time. The explanation is that weekly visits are not guaranteed, but your contract guarantees them weekly payment. I was charged extra to weed wack part of my yard that had a gradual 6-in elevation difference and therefore was not mowed or edged for months. No permission was sought of course for this extra charge.

He talked through any prior water retention issues I had, and came up with a plan to future proof our house from any flooding that could happen with big storms. The crew were back out within a few days and executed the plan as Cliff specified. The laborers placed one of the pop-ups a little too close to the house, and without any intervention, the day-of-supervisor spoke with me to let me know they would extend it according to plan, and corrected everything. They also replaced my sump pump, which was not the easiest thing due to a seized grate closure (see pics), and at a fraction of the price quoted by plumbers. I was really impressed with how quick everything was completed, and for a job like this (digging long trenches to run PVC), my yard looks nearly immaculate. They gave me instructions to heal the grass patches so my lawn would look as it did before in no time. After the work was done, Cliff reached out to make sure all was working well when it rained. I highly recommend reaching out to Nature's Friend for any of your needs -- you can tell they really care about their customers, and I will be reaching out to them for any future landscaping needs.

I am writing this review regarding my experience with Chapingo Tree Care Service (CTCS), located at…read more3558 Worthhington Blvd., Frederick, MD 21704. My Homeowners Association hired CTCS to remove a massive mature tree located behind my property. While the tree was safely cut down, the work was left incomplete. The large tree stump was not ground down, and large logs, limbs, and debris were left approximately six feet from my patio door, creating an unsightly appearance in my backyard. What concerns me most is that the logs and debris from the same tree that were behind my neighbor's property were moved farther back into the wooded area, while the debris behind my property was left in place. When I questioned the tree care manager and owner about this inconsistency, I was told that an HOA Board member instructed them to leave the debris where it was. Although I understand that contractors often follow their client's instructions, I believe a professional company should also take pride in completing a job fairly and consistently whenever possible. Leaving one homeowner with an unfinished result while providing a cleaner outcome for another reflects poorly on the quality and fairness of the service. As a homeowner, I pay HOA fees with the expectation that contracted work will be completed to an acceptable standard. In my opinion, CTCS completed only part of the project and accepted an outcome that left my property looking unfinished. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. While they may perform quality work when directed to do so, my experience suggests they will leave a job incomplete if instructed by a client, even when the result is inconsistent and unfair to the affected homeowner.
