Even though Housing Solutions does not manage rentals directly, Matt put me in touch with several other landlords and property managers who fit our needs. Fast forward a few months. We decided to start seriously looking for houses to buy. I sent Matt a list of must-haves, nice-to-haves, and shoot-for-the-moons. At the end of the email, I told him our ultimate dream was to live on a lake in the mountains, but we didn't expect that to happen with our first house. Matt immediately responded, letting me know he knew of a house that had just been taken off the market for the winter, but was due to go back on in the Spring. It had lake views, lake access, all of our must-haves, and most of our nice-to-haves... all in our budget! He arranged a showing for us, and we both immediately fell in love with the house (although admittedly, my husband was being a bit more cautiously optimistic than I was, as I immediately began referring to it as "our house," haha). Throughout the entire process, he was very candid, honest, and helpful. I also took comfort in knowing that Housing Solutions is a buyer's only agency, and so we wouldn't run into any conflicts of interest like you sometimes can if you go through an agency that may also be representing the seller. And when he eventually answered, he was disrespectful and rude you he was yelling, screaming and swearing.
