A big shout out to Tony, Nate and the rest of the staff at Re-Psycle BMW Parts. I crashed my '86 K-75C on Sunday and ordered parts on Sunday night and noted that I needed parts urgently. On Monday Tony called to clarify some issues about the parts and then he shipped them on Tuesday. I received the parts in California on Thursday, Friday I put the bike back together so its ready to ride this weekend. The crew here is knowledgeable about all BMW bikes and they have a vast inventory of used parts. The parts I received looked brand new! They have just about everything BMW up to 2004, including some new parts like screws and gaskets. read more

I purchased a used, 40 year old motorcycle from Re-psycle. They did an ok job of mechanically restoring the bike to running condition, and because the bike was not cosmetically restored the cost was manageable for me. I dealt with Mark S., the company president, and he was accommodating. Mark explained the idiosyncrasies of the model purchased, providing information that one does not find in an owner's manual. He also directed me to forums and clubs with national reach that could provide invaluable help in keeping my "new" bike running. After I received the bike, I inadvertently damaged the center stand due to a lack of knowledge on my part. Mark offered to send me a replacement free of charge, noting that he should've explained that the foot tang is not designed to withstand the kind of force that I applied to it. Almost one year later, now that I have begun to perform routine maintenance on the motorcycle, I have discovered that both the engine oil drain plug and transmission oil fill plugs were installed without ANY gaskets. So now I know the source of the post-ride leaks on my basement floor. Also, the rear wheel drive oil fill plug was mis-threaded into the rear drive cover, destroying the drive cover threads, and leaving bits of metal thread to fall into the rear wheel drive. The drive cover is a $550 part. It is quite disconcerting to me that they shipped the bike to me in this condition. Now I have to remove the rear wheel housing and return it to them for replacement. Ugh. Motorcycle maintenance is serious business and I am very concerned about the safety and soundness of the bike. I should also mention that they forgot to install a new rear tire (as promised) before they shipped me the bike. They did ship me a new tire and I had a local mechanic install it, for which I was reimbursed by re-psycle. Bottom Line--I don't trust their "mechanic", who is either careless or incompetent, or both. read more

Called about service work on my BMW told by service manager that he had a waiting list and it would be at least a month before he could get to it. Told that once I took it in it would be a couple weeks to a month before he would be able to complete the work. I got the impression the service manager didn't want to do the work. That's fine with me, just wish he would have told me that straight up. Guess they're good for used parts read more
