The upper balcony seats are not suitable for anyone with any type of physical disabilities that would prohibit walking up numerous stairs or up steep inclines and declines. They had a bar area and merch for sale in the lobby area. The seating we had was on the lower level (a great relief from the upper level seating we had last year which was brutal to say the least. The steep incline was not optimal for those with issues walking). Our seats were good with an excellent view of the performers. The accoutics were okay for such an older venue. It was also a quick 10 minute walk from the Double Tree hotel we were staying at, although they did provide a courtesy shuttle to the venue for registered guests. All in all a great evening of jazz.

I remember playing at the silo and going to shows there. I haven't been to a show in Reading since the Silo days. I was pleasantly surprised that this place has been open for sometime. It's pretty clean and looks well maintained. Good sound if you aren't smack dab in the middle. Friendly staff from parking attendants to bar tenders! parking is only $10. Seemed like a good bit of parking too. My friend was kicked out a few mi the ago for doing backflips at GWAR but he didn't experience anything like that this time.

The venue must have somewhat recently been updated as my boyfriend said the layout was different then when he was last there. We went for a metal show and the doors opened promptly. The staff was nice, they did have someone checking bags, keys, pockets and doing a pat down at the door. Once inside our tickets got scanned and ids checked if we wanted to drink. We were given a wrist band for that. The bar was in the back and they did have a room off to the side that appeared to be like a snack bar. They had a smoking section out back since there was no re-entry. The sound and lights were great. Overall it was a good show and a nice venue. I'd go again. It was in the middle of Reading but not a super congested area, mostly residential.

I visited the Goggleworks website (www.goggleworks.org) and was impressed with the options available. Via email, I inquired with my questions and was answered immediately. We ultimately chose a private glassblowing session. Remember when you are choosing to partake in these artisanal sessions, you are paying for the artisan's expertise and sharing of knowledge . So at first glance, it may seem pricey. However, given the experience as a whole, it does NOT disappoint! Our instructor Andrew was awesome! His energy and passion matched our excitement. He made our experience so much more fun with his anecdotes about the glassblowing. He explained everything in detail; we never felt rushed or uncomfortable about our skill level. There were four of us in our glassblowing session. He expertly guided us in the best artisan experience I have ever had. For our glassblowing class, we all chose to make drinking glasses. Each of us chose different color palettes to match our varying personalities. Of course, due to the nature of glassblowing, it was a very HOT experience but we were dressed accordingly and hydrated throughout. After we each had our turn, our glasses were immediately placed in a temperature-controlled device (I can't remember its name) to slowly cool the glass down and prevent cracking. We were not permitted to take the glasses home but rather had to come back another day to pick them up. After our session, we headed back to the main Goggleworks building to check out the art exhibits, gift store, and (what I'll call) the artist alley of artisans' work spaces and offices. We spent lots of time enjoying the space and speaking with varying artists. Turns out that the space is a former goggles factory that was used back in the 1800s and the space takes great care in preserving its history. It's soooo cool. It was truly enjoyable!! I highly recommend Goggleworks! This is one of my most memorable experiences!! I can't wait to see our glasses. We walked in and the lady behind the retail/customer service desk told us about the building and where to walk since it was our first time visiting, she was very lovely! The first floor had their showing for their art show and the rest of the floors is their classrooms and displayed all their students art pieces. It is an absolutely beautiful building and all of the art is amazing. Some pieces you are able to buy which I find very cool!

The bar maid was very friendly and made you feel welcomed. 4 TV's with sports televised and a claw machine filled with stuffed animals can be found inside as well as a golf arcade game. This place could be the sister bar of Barbons right down the street, as they are extremely alike except Mott's doesn't serve food. Recently Barbons Jacked up all their food prices to nearly double what you normally would have paid, so its much cheaper to drink here and order food from Giavanna's next door! I know we have been to the museum in the past but today we had a chance to visit the gardens…read more Well maintained trails and grounds scattered with sculptures and local greenery. Several separate gardens throughout the 25 acre property. We did happen upon a heron getting some afternoon sun. Although we opted to stay in the shade. A good portion of paved shaded areas to walk to get out of the heat. The museum is about 20 for admission and accompanying planetarium is an extra fee. The gardens however are free to enjoy and are open sunrise to sunset.

You roll up into a gravel parking lot in the middle of the woods and gaze up at an old house that surely can't be a bar!? Ah, but it is. When you walk in there are usually 3 or 4 disgruntled looking locals that all stare up at you as if you were a wild ground hog that got in. The bar is adorned with old beer signs and ceramic beer mugs crafted to look like a huge pair of tits. The bartender is a portly old man with a PA Dutch accent. If the angels smile down upon you, the owner's cat might come strutting along the bar top as you order and allow you to pet him. The curtains and paneling are the stuff of a white trash wonderland. When I used to go here I would get $3 grey gooses. Where the fuck else in the universe can you get $3 grey goose? The prices here are retardedly cheap. I would drink the goosies until I was shit hammered and then make out with some crusty forest dweller when I went out to blaze a cig; or I would have to call for someone to come get me because I couldn't even walk through the parking lot without weeble-wobbling like the god damn walking dead. My parents love eating here, and I was able to join them for my mother's 80th birthday dinner celebration. Let me start by saying that the exterior of this restaurant is underwhelming. It looks like 1970 called and wants their library back. The inside was much more contemporary, although it, too, looked like it could use some updating. The wait staff was kind and put up well with our party of 7. The menu had something for everyone - from sandwiches to salads to seafood. My steak salad was delicious and everyone seemed pleased with their food. I am not young, nor am I republican, but I enjoyed my experience at the YR club. 5 stars for food, 3 stars for atmosphere.
