Do NOT use this company to manage your VRBO !! I've spent over 250k in 5 yrs on other rentals this is my first bad review! We rented a condo in mammoth over holiday break ( peak season ) Fist when we walked in there was an overwhelming stench that was nauseating, it smelled like a wet dog mixed with curry. We took off our shoes and immediately our socks were wet. My 15yro felt nauseous from the smell. Clearly the home wasn't inhabitable at this time. We contacted ready4rentals and they first stated that the carpets had recently been cleaned. Their only suggestion was to open all the windows and doors and let it air out. Keep in mind it's bellow zero and freezing and now dark. The unit was not ready for checkin at 4:30 upon our arrival, and we were unable to stay and had to find alternate lodgings last minute keep in mind the checkout is at 10 am they had almost 6 hours to get the place ready. They should have been the ones to air it out. They are so far refusing to issue a refund. We spend untold thousands of dollars on rentals every year and have Never had such an unprofessional experience ever ! They actually acknowledge the smell: wetness said it was from prior guests cooking. They haven't even offered to return one night or the cleaning deposit!! read more

Where do I begin... it is 3 am and I am up for a second night in a row because the thermostat automatically drops to 71 and it's literally freezing but let me begin from the beginning of this trip. I WILL ABSOLUTELY UPDATE THIS REVIEW ONCE IF I EVER HEAR FROM MANAGEMENT. I also decided to leave tonight and not stay one more night due to it just being unbearable. I had to book a hotel and pay more money which would of been avoided had someone just responded to my messages. Day 1 ARRIVAL: Corridor: Walls were filthy- not sure of this is a tactic to keep your deposit but I will update and see. Kitchen: Pans were put away with food still on them. I had to literally wash the pans. The same with the grill it had oil and wasn't cleaned. Spider webs all over bar area. The chairs are literally coming apart (straw is falling apart and is dangerous) and will stab you on the butt when you sit. The straw in one literally poked through my pants and pierced my skin. Be careful! Washer: It has mold! The door to the dryer was literally placed with no warning that it can collapse on you. I am glad I didn't bring a toddler with me. Bed sheets: Loft- I had to rewash one set because it was stained. Master bedroom: the thin cover has HOLES ON IT (gross!) I think with the $1.5 K paid maybe they can afford to replace it. Master Bedroom: Bathroom has mold on knobs. Knobs are $20 common!It is pretty disgusting. They do provide some stained towels and toilet paper. Under the master bathroom was full of pet hair!!!!! I brought a mini poodle. All of us where full of pet hair which appeared to be from a labrador or retriever. The windows don't lock. Most of the latches are completely broken. There is a bunch of junk in the closet. WiFI: UNSTABLE! I called way in advance to ask about the WiFI and they said they had not issues. I had to use my personal hot spot for most of my stay. Outside door lock- It took me a long time trying to figure out how to lock the condo since no instructions were provided. I called every number provided and no response. I called the emergency number but Sara did not know how to use the lock and said that the maintenance guy had other matters to handle. She was polite and tried to help but Not being able to give me a solid time when someone could come and help since it wasn't an "emergency" was not okay. I thanked her anyway. She asked me to leave the condo open and that he would lock it at "some point" during the day. I ended up having to use YouTube and managed to figure it out. I called her back and let her know I figured it out but we ended up missing our reservations and had four very unhappy kids. I am not sure why management did not response. I would hate to say that I was dismissed due to my last name (Spanish)... not sure. I am a world traveler and will say that this is the worst and most neglected I have ever felt and that says a lot for someone whose visited multiple countries. I have stay in Mammoth every year; this unfortunately was the worst stay and most expensive out of all of them. They are QUICK to respond prior to your stay but once you arrive you are completely ignored. Positives: Top floor bathroom was nice. There was toilet paper and towels. read more

During the second morning of our stay, we got locked out of the house due to a malfunctioning key pad. Three of us, myself included, had to wait outside in the freezing cold, as we were told that there was no assistance on the premises and that the contractor had to come from home. It took him over half an hour to arrive, and after some interrogation, he said he couldn't do anything except switch out the keypad, which he couldn't do anything until a contracted locksmith who had the actual key arrived. This added another 30 minutes to our wait for him to arrive. The contractor then had to change out the new key-pad, which took even more time. What upsets me is that this whole fiasco resulted in us losing out on half a day on the Mammoth mountain that day. I asked Ready 4 Rentals compensate us for our time lost, however, they said they would get back to us and never did. They stopped picking up our calls as well. I probably wouldn't do business with them again. Would much rather stay at a hotel that has much better accountability to their guests. read more

Property descriptions do not match the actual property. They advertised "Private Spa in the unit", the spa never worked. And the management didn't respond to many issues（insecure shower glass door, broken toilet seats, dirty / smelly towels, ...) with the rental. Very bad customer services. read more

Terrible terrible terrible. I had to pull an arm and a leg to figure out any options regarding my trip due to a world pandemic. They wouldn't budge until they got a complete statewide order (specifically where Mammoth would shut down). I got my refund but it's unfortunate that these people don't really take their own due diligence/consideration about your situation (or worldly situation such as the uptick in covid cases in Winter 2020). I wished they had common sense, and I get it they need to consider their business but uh....they were willing to let me stay at their place where I could get others "potentially" sick in Mammoth as I was coming from a city with high surges. We had a great week at one of their rentals close to the village perfect for skiing and also using all the free shuttles to anywhere on the mountain . It was clean & well stocked looked exactly as pictured . Any questions I had they responded quickly . We will definitely use them again if we come to Mammoth . read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Stayed in mammoth for 3 nights. The kitchen light (only light) wasn't working from day 1. It took them 2 days out of my 3 day trip to fix the light without any communication in between. They left the bulb on the kitchen counter said they brought the wrong one and would get another bulb and come back. Never called and never came back. When I called the next day they said he didn't come back because the store was closed. A simple phone call stating that would've been nice. Asked for some type of reimbursement because obviously I couldn't see in the kitchen and at that point they stopped all communication. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed to make our vacation so enjoyable. It was very family friendly as the kids enjoyed the kids toys, games, and kids dish ware. Jamie and Cynthia were always available to answer all our questions and offered a lot of local knowledge about different restaurants and activities. Giving them 4 stars because we never actually got to the property we rented from them. BUT, twice we were supposed to go to Mammoth Lakes to fish for 6 days, and twice we had to cancel with them last minute because of the fires and air quality. The first time, we rescheduled, and Sarah was lovely about offering us this option. The second time, I had little hope of rescheduling, but she, in fact, got approval to refund us our total paid amount! I don't think you'd find such magnanimity from other agencies. Ready 4 Rentals in Mammoth does not even deserve one star. My family and I travel to Mammoth several times per year, mainly in the winter as we all love to ski. I have rented from several different rental companies and we've stayed at many different places, all with different management teams, with no issues at all. I have never encountered a more rude and unprofessional team than I did with Ready 4 rentals. I spent a LOT of time this past winter season searching for a perfect space for 4 nights and 5 days for my family of three AND my parents, who are approaching 70 to ski in Mammoth during our son's Spring Break... I wanted the space to be near the village to make things easier on all of us as far as getting up to the mountain each morning to ski, and I wanted to make sure the condo we were renting was clean and nice with great decor and beds because my mom is kind of picky and we do spend more time at the condo than most (we cook most meals in and my parents go to bed early). ANYWAY, I finally landed on a condo through Ready 4 Rentals and splurged on the price. About 2 days before our arrival date, I emailed Ready 4 Rentals asking just a couple of simple questions about the space and inquiring when I would get the exact address and instructions on how to enter the unit so I could share the details with my parents... and the response I got told me that "the unit I had rented was recently sold" and "some of the furniture and decor has changed." I was very disappointed to hear that, because I had chosen the condo specifically based on the pictures and decor; it was decorated very nicely with modern touches and everything looked new and clean. In fact, the photos had focused in on the thoughtful touches and attention to detail!! I was thinking "Oh No, what if they've taken out the cute/nice stuff and replaced it with temporary, crappy stuff?" and "why would I pay for a place that is in transition and not the space that was photographed?" So, when I asked what exactly had changed, the management team immediately got annoyed with me and said, "It's the same condo with the same amount of beds and space, so it really shouldn't matter." WHAT?? She would not even tell me what had changed when I pressed... or how different the condo really was... she just said I was "ridiculous" to even be worried about "some changed furniture and decor details." But wait, don't we all base our decisions when we're renting a condo on the PICTURES and how it appears to be? I was so confused... so I responded saying that it's not fair they were only telling me that NOW, just 2 days before our arrival... and that they were not even trying to ease my mind by telling me the changes were very minimal and maybe just a picture on the wall or two... and once I communicated my disappointment in the most diplomatic way possible, she said, "I'm sorry, I'm going to cancel your reservation." Holy crap! So crazy. I said, "Oh no, please do not do that... it's only 2 days before our arrival, and it's Spring Break... I may not be able to find anything else, and I'm sure prices have been hiked since I had booked the condo months in advance." But 4 minutes later, I received a confirmation email that my security deposit, and my full payment had been refunded/returned. So, yes, I got my money back, but then I was forced into a position to find another home for the 5 of us, VERY last minute... This took more hours of my time to find and book new accommodations, and I ended up having to spend several hundred MORE dollars to get us a nice, accommodating space. I was sooo very angry and I highly encourage everyone and anyone to STAY AWAY from READY 4 RENTALS! read more

We stayed in a beautiful condo in Mammoth through Ready 4 Rentals and had an amazing experience. The condo was in a great location between Canyon Lodge and The Village. The unit was extremely clean and very well equipped. We really appreciated the attention to detail and amenities provided. We did need to pay the $500 security deposit upfront but it was returned to us within 3-4 days, and given the excellent condition of the unit the security deposit was understandable. read more

unfortunately, i would give this company 0 stars if that was an option. my family and i had to reschedule a trip in January of 2022 to March of 2022 due to my entire family having covid, please keep in mind at the time i had a 3 month old. I had to end up canceling the march trip as well due to a family emergency. I messaged them a month in advance, more than once, giving them plenty of time to find new renters for the weekend. I got no response until today, 2 weeks before said trip telling me i was able to cancel but that i would not get any of my money back. after some back and forth about not getting a refund i was told i could get the cleaning fee and the deposit back. thats less than a third of what i already paid them. terrible communication skills and very poor customer service. read more

I am an avid traveler for many years, and I've never been asked to put down a $500 deposit for a two-night stay. I've been asked up to $250 but never actually charged for it. (The vendor does a pending charge and then it drops off because I leave the unit pristine.) Ready4Rentals.com Mammoth Lakes actually charges the $500 up front in addition to the lodging and extra fees. After you vacate, it takes them two weeks to issue a refund blaming others' banks (mine takes two days to process a credit) and not the fact that they sit on your deposit until they feel like refunding it. They don't respond to e-mail but say they are always available. They are rude on the phone when someone finally does answer. Never going back and never using Ready4Rentals.com in Mammoth Lakes again. Suggest you take your money elsewhere especially during these difficult times where the hotelier appreciates your occupancy. read more
