My daughter occupied an apt for 2 months, although we signed a one year lease. Needing to terminate the lease and willing to meet my end of the obligation, I was straight up with them from the beginning, thinking they might appreciate someone trying to do the right thing. They don't work like that. They avoid you and then ding you extra charges at every turn. Ladies in the office are lovely but do nothing to work with you. We have no A/C since the 24th of June. We had three A/C companies come to bid on fixing the A/C. My mother is 80 years old and can't handle the heat. Every day the house inside temperature is 85 to 90 degrees. I have ask for updates several times with no luck. I am willing to call the owner of this home to expedite the A/C Fix. They ignored our maintenance orders to fix the outside Wall in the winter because the inside sheetrock was falling apart from moisture. The water damage was extensive allowing mold to grow and they probably covered it up from the owner or charged the owner for the expenses. I would never rent from Corazon again but if I did I would trash the apartment because Corazon would charge me for doing so even if I kept it in mint condition. They do not encourage renters to take good care of a property based on the way they blindly manage their rentals. We payed a double deposit because we were told that this was their policy on first time renters.. Again corazon did not show up for a walk thru ... again we took extensive pic's A month later my daughter receives a letter stating they are keeping 80 % of this double deposit ... We were completly broadsided by this ,Demanded an itemized cost breakdown(after at least 10 calls and emails) we receive this illegal document I don't know where to begin I will say this, They charged $280.00 to clean this ancient broken stove... that was never used or fixed (could have bought a new stove for this price) this is complete robbery A.T.T We have retained a renter rights attorney, we are filing today a suit in small claims "COURT" for the return of all deposits owed, with punitive damages allowed by law . Renters beware! I rented an apartment from them for about 8 months and it was the worst experience of my life. The apartment was FILTHY when we moved in. Food and groceries still in cupboards. Good luck getting anything from them. For example, they didn't give us keys to any of the amenities on site, like the" pool", laundry room or even keys to a mail box. Not only that but they wouldn't even fix a broken lock on the door so anyone could just waltz in our home. And of course when I decided to move out they came up with a list of false charges. We got stolen everything of value and we still have not recovered from this incidence. When we confronted Corazon Real Estate with this information, they were not empathetic and put it like it was our fault. Further, they referred to rental insurance and that it is none of their business. The broken window never got repaired. III. Many juveniles were loitering in the backyard of the apartment complex during the nights and on the weekends. There was also a lot of garbage around the facility but it never got cleaned up. I have requested assistance and they may or may not respond, when they do it is intimidating and rude. do not rent from corazon I sent two payments for 878.00 on 298 talus way at the beginning of October 2014 I was sending these to get ahead on my balance the secretary sent one of them back she apparently thought it was a duplicate or mistake on November 5th I received an eviction notice showing I was late this was very traumatizing because I thought I was being evicted (which I was apparently) I called and the office said I was late on payment so I went down the next day to make the full 900 dollar plus payment and late fees and told my situation to the lady at the front desk I have not heard anything back now I am being charged an eviction notice fee Why am I being charged any late fees when I sent my payments to your office ahead of schedule by more than 30 days ? The people here are absolutely the worst to work with. The two girls in the office act like they are in high school- give looks and snarky comments and giggle back and forth. The lady Christy(Christine) never will speak with you directly; only through the office girls. When you ask to talk to her she makes you wait 30-45 minutes. We were trying to discuss the damages in the new apartment we were putting a deposit down for. Christy didn't want to deal with us so she pretended to be on the phone and waited until after I left to call me, and the proceeded to hang up on me when I told her I was unhappy. They require you to give copy of your id every time you go in even though they keep them on file. There's no attentiveness from the staff whatsoever. They don't have any organization or knowledge of what keys work and what condition their properties are actually in. They don't keep track of rents/deposits or keys to places. Not to mention they don't follow through with anything. They are extremely unfriendly and drag along the process. I have emailed and called RPM so many times for help or some kind of solution to the continued harassment from my downstairs neighbors and have received no reply which has led me to writing this review. Yesterday I spoke with Samantha at RPM and she told me to email her at inforpmcorazon.com detailing all of the harassment from the people living below me and she said she would talk to the property manager which I'm assuming is you. No one from RPM has contacted me regarding the neighbor on all occasions that I've emailed and reported them, there have been zero offers of solutions to the harassment even when I OFFERED TO MOVE. The people below have repeatedly yelled at me, cursed at me, banged on my roof when I am getting ready for work or getting ready for bed. I don't get a phone call from Samantha or from anyone at RPM. I would really appreciate, if someone could give me a call or offer any kind of solution. The people below me feel that they can harass me because I live alone and am a young black woman and since RPM won't call me back, wont email me back and won't help me move it seems they condone this behavior. Any allegations my neighbors are making are clearly lies and I would like proof of all of the accusations that have obviously led to my apartment being inspected. I am sure that RPM was aware of how horrible the people below me are and that they are the reason the person before me moved out, if RPM was aware of their actions prior to me moving in then shame on you. I pay my bill every month on time, I have the right to feel safe in my home, this continued harassment and discrimination by my neighbors without any intervention from RPM shows that you and your company condone their behavior. They have two dogs as well that bark all times of the day the only difference is that I go to work everyday and they don't. This company doesn't care about its tenants. read more

The worst property management company I have ever had to deal with. We were great tenants who paid rent early every month, left the place in better condition than it was found, and never had any complaints. We unfortunately trusted this company a reputable place so we did not take pictures when we moved in assuming they were honest. When we moved in we were handed one garage opener, and one old one that was from the 70s. We had agreed to buy our own and let the company keep the only opener. Upon move out we gave back the opener they had provided us with yet we were charged for garage openers out of our deposit (we paid for the extras). We were charged nearly 400 for cleaning yet we had the place spotless when we left. So moral of the story either AVOID AT ALL COST! OR move out without cleaning because they are going to take out all of your deposit and keep it so you might as well not put in the work. Hopefully we will be seeing them in the small claims court. read more

We had them manage our rental property for one year. Tony, the owner, was really nice at first when we met him and made us feel confident in using them to take care of our property. Problems started happening right away between our tenants and corazon. we would get complaints from the tenants and would expect things to get fixed or taken care of, only to have the same issues arise a few weeks or months later. corazon kept reassuring us they were taking care of things only to find they were either half-assing things or not getting repairs done in the first place. one of the girls involved in managing the property was downright rude to us and we finally got to the point that we told tony that we were not dealing with her again and any issues would be taken care of directly through tony. we felt like everyone at corazon was pretty shady and we got to the point that we lost confidence in tony. if you use them as a rental agency or property management, all I can say, is really pay attention to what they are doing. Worst property management company ever! After multiple emails and a certified letter was sent to the office by me to dispute the Security Deposit refund, they won't respond to me. Out of a $1700 SD, I only got back $44 and they charged me for things that were like that when I moved in. Instead of just dealing with me directly in response to my multiple attempts to contact them, I now have to file in the Small Claims Court to get this taken care of. I've worked for property management companies in the past, so I know what they are allowed to charge for and what they aren't. I'd like to give them no stars but unfortunately I don't have that option. I could write a whole book on how crappy this place is but I'll try to keep it short. My fiance, daughter and I were looking to move into our first place and found a nice little apartment for a reasonable amount of money that Corazon was renting out. We had read reviews on Yelp about them being a terrible place and they like to charge you for things that you didn't do. We went to check out the apartment and it was clearly not the apartment that we were shown in pictures, this one was not nice and looked beat down. We were just happy about getting our own place and decided to go with it. BIGG MISTAKE. The first month or two we had no problems with them, then we needed things fixed. We sent in work orders for cabinets that were broke before we moved in, obvious water damage in our daughters room that was clearly growing mold, bad closet doors, broken screen door and so on. They had someone come twice and only a window (with a gaping hole that let water in) light and a socket got fixed. Everything else was dismissed, we had probably put in 10 work orders. Everytime we went in their Nancy the front desk lady (Who has bad reviews on here about her behavior) was absolutely disrespectful and always had an attitude. She always made me feel uncomfortable paying rent. We never saw anyone else as they were either busy or not there. She threatened us with ruining our credit, which was completely unprofessional behavior! We lived there a year and as our lease was coming to an end (Less than a month left) we decided we no longer wanted to live at a place like that. We got accepted to live in affordable housing and this is where our problems really started. We needed them to send over letters that we simply paid rent every month on time and they refused to do that until we signed a 30 day notice. No problem, we went ahead and did that. Our 30 day notice was for 12/9/15 our lease ended 12/30/15 We talked to them about it and they were completely fine with us leaving before our lease was up as it was only a couple weeks out. I got a email with move out instructions and our prorated rent, simple right? No, I then got a other email a couple days later with a different move out date and our full rent plus 10.25 for a "missed" maintince fee we had already paid. I called and they no longer were wanting us to move out on 12/9/15 even though that's what our 30 day notice and my email stated we were allowed to do. We went into the office and Nancy was telling us we couldn't move out on that day or were breaking our lease and had to pay extra fees. We told her that days prior we were told different and had a email and she started to become extremely rude and disrespectful to us and started raising her voice. She then kicked my Fiance out of the office for telling her to stop having an attitude with us. I signed ANOTHER 30 notice like they wanted as we didn't want to fight and just wanted to get out of there. Later that night I got 3 different emails with 3 different move out dates, she obviously didn't know what she was doing. I went in there to get another copy of my lease and they tried telling me that I wasn't allowed one, I then brought up the law and they gave me another copy but not without being snotty about it. We finally got out of there and now a month later we get a letter in the mail with charges for things we had put maintince request in for and things that weren't even wrong when we moved out. We didn't get our deposit back and from reading other reviews we didn't think we would. So basically I did an online application for a house to rent, called the next day. Found out other people already filled one out for the same house and got accepted. Was told if they didn't want it anymore I would get picked next. If they kept it then I would get my money back for the applications which was 175$ Turns out that they kept the house and the Corazon Real Estate people never called me back. Been trying to get a hold of this Chrissy Beir Realtor working for them, but she NEVER answers her damn phone. I always get voicemail. So then I decided to call the office. First, It was that she was not working for a few days and they'd call me back. 1 week later. I never got a call back so I called again. For some reason shes still not there. OK I'll wait a bit later. I never get a call from them so I decided to call again. Finally someone answers. the woman who answered the phone told me to hold so that she would talk to her. (I don't understand why she can't just talk to me herself or answer her damn phone. Oh, and the same people who answer the phone are most likely the same person since they have the same voice.) When she comes back she says that they need to talk to someone to make me a check and they would call me back. ANOTHER WEEK LATER no one is picking up the cell phone or the office phone. Do not, I repeat DO NOT rent from these people. When I moved out they send me a bill stating they used all of our deposit to fix different things in the house. Our deposit was $595 and everything they fixed equaled that amount. I was sure when I first moved out that I would get some of my deposit back because I cleaned my butt off and patched all the holes and nothing was really broken. Yet they still stated they had to patch multiple holes (holes form nails that I used to hang up pictures). And some of the things they stated they had to fix were things that were already broken when we first moved in, and things we had asked them to fix while we were living there but they never sent anyone. Now, almost a whole year after moving out they are trying to bill us another $400 for the maintenance they had to do. They sent it straight to collections without even notifying us. These charges are 100% invalid and this company will only rip you off. read more

The condition of the paint was old and touched up here and there, carpet was cumming up at the seems and the back of the condo had cable and telephone wires running in and around the house threw sloppy unprofessional holes the yard was full of weeds waist high "considering that I'm 6 feet tall that's ridiculous. I lived in the property for 1 year and decided to move some were else, when that day came to receive my deposit back and mind you I took a week to clean the property better than was received, out of a $700 deposit I received $160 dollars back and was charged with the most obscene charges cleaning this $120 dollars weed pulling $150 dollars carpet shampoo $100 touch up paint $120 ect.... Just flat out stealing! I returned to the property to see all these so called things that they did most of the property still looked in the same dilapidated condition they painted the front door "poorly" white and filled in the stab holes that were there when I moved in, they re-painted the entire condo and charged my tab for it! I can understand all little paint here and there but the whole condo and then make me pay for it AWESOME!, there were still weeds in the yard they only pulled the ones directly in front of the condo as to not to diminish from the curb appeal. When confronted about the charges no one seemed to care one bit and told me just waist more of my time and write a letter of complaint and it would be reviewed. Over all a terrible experience.
