The personal touches that the venue allowed were also wonderful - from crafting a signature drink to writing "it's a boy!" on each dessert plate with the cake. The venue had 3 main areas, 2 of which we used - one for lunch using large round tables of 10 (very comfortable, even with a wine glass, water glass, tea glass, bread plate, and charger) and the other for unwrapping gifts that had multiple couches and chairs and the most gorgeous stained glass windows. Had it been a nicer day we would have enjoyed the patio area. It looked gorgeous and overlooked the golf course with a view of the fountain. Parking was a breeze. A little history, this space was formerly the Shaw Theatre, opening in 1915 which once seated about 1100 people for screenings, offering some neighborhood nostalgia. I hosted a surprise party here for my husband's birthday, and it went off without a hitch. Adisa and Adnan answered all my questions quickly in the months leading up to the surprise, and because an event was not planned the night beforehand, they even let me come and drop off beverages for chilling. We had Aya Sofia (Mediterranean restaurant in South STL City) cater the party, and they did a fantastic job of coordinating the drop-off and pick-up of their serving ware, and the food was a hit. We had an open self-service bar, which guests appreciated but did get a bit crowded as a lot of people tend to gather near the huge kitchen counter where the bar is located. The facility does have one step inside, but the Atelier 1879 team has made their facility fully accessible with a portable ramp that fits nicely over the step. Adisa and Adnan have thought of everything! Parking was not an issue for our guests. It's a residential neighborhood and is positioned next door to Yemanja Brasil Restaurant (which is delicious!).
