We have been working with Kortne B., of Rebe Homes, now for a couple of years and met her just by happenstance after contacting the Rebe Homes Team after seeing their signage in our neighborhood for another home they had listed; sometimes this is how the best relationships are formed! Kortne first listed our original home in Tempe back in 2021. She is very knowledgeable, both with the Tempe area as well as knowing her profession. Kortne was also the first realtor to sit down and ask us not only why we wanted to sell, but also about our connection to our home and if we truly were ready to sell. My husband and I met Kortne Bongiorno through close family she had previously represented as a real estate agent in 2016 when we were moving to Arizona planning to purchase a home. We must have looked at 20 plus homes prior to finding one we new would be our forever home. It was quite a process as I tend to be an extremely particular individual, and I say that lightly. In addition, and naturally my husband and needed to on the same page on the property we chose. Throughout the entire process, Kortne was professional, responsive, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. She had many connections we could reach out to which ensured a successful renovation prior to close. While we encountered a 'minor' hiccup in the process she came through with the aforementioned qualities and literally resolved and fixed any issues. She has been not only a realtor, but friend since. In December of this past year, my husband accepted a job in Dallas. This was something that while filled with mixed emotions was also exciting! We had originally thought Arizona would be our forever home. Initially, we talked about a 'quick' and easy (or so we thought) way to sell, get cash and move to our new location. Reluctantly, I will say we fell for the "72 Sold" marketing frenzy. What a mess that turned out to be! We found ourselves in quite a debacle. So, we called Kortne, first asking for salvation from the unscrupulous losers, then assistance in selling our AZ home. We explained we contacted her because we 'trust' her, and when seeking a realtor that was our number one concern. Kortne listened attentively was naturally inquisitive, researched and followed up with us shortly after. We explained why we thought we should have gone through "72 Sold" and much to our surprise found that she could work with us on a similar more ethical plan. She planned 'one' open house for us and by Sunday we had 14 offers! All was great! We had the closing date we needed, packed and emptied our home, moving our family of 4 and a dog to Texas, with the understanding we would close the day after we left the state. Well, as it turned out, our buyer, his lender and agent were a little less than forthcoming and honest with the buyers personal situation. There were several issues over the next few days we found to be most disturbing and concerning. Mind you, here we are in Texas with family of 4 and a dog in temporary living for 30 days. The buyer did not meet the contracted deadline and decisions had to be made to get our AZ home closed so we could fund our new home in Texas. Without getting into details, the final week was disastrous at best. The buyer, lender and realtor seemed to be aware of many thing that were not disclosed. We lost out on one home as a result of not having the funding we would have had prior to leaving the state if the buyer had met the contract date. Our closing date was now moved further out. My husband and I were literally at our wits end and not very happy at all with what was happening on the buyers end. Kortne was in constant communication with us and consistently displayed the same qualities and attributes she did when we first worked with her. She remained committed, calm and professional throughout this entire situation. In the end we finally closed and shared a much needed and welcomed face time communication and toast! If it had not been for Kortne Bongiorno and her relentless efforts this would have never happened. Because of this we now have our new home in Texas in escrow right now.
