As I have visited twice I will contribute my take on The Center but it is not one of a long-time client. The offices are very well-designed and truly provide "one stop" dental services. The staff are very friendly. As an incoming patient I was able to take a conducted tour. This is a very impressive and logical office set up in an easy to find location with ample parking and comprehensive services and state of the art equipment. I was made aware of The Dental Assistance Savings Plan via Kleer.com at the outset, and am considering it as I retired from work with COBRA coverage from an insurance which is out of network for The Center. I read the Savings Plan form carefully and believe that I understand it. A decision should be made shortly. There seems to be confusion concerning billing practices at the Center. As I see it it is up to the patient to ask questions, take notes if needed and to make sure that they fully understand The Center's billing and receivables requirements. The person that I talked to is Shari, whom I talked to at The Center after wrapping up my last appointment. She is a very good billing manager and was very helpful. Thank you.

The office staff seems to handle things well and no one seems busy in the least. However, I have spent months calling and emailing trying to get the next stages of care for my kids set up without any reply. Finally I got a randomly sent (not in response to my emails) reply about setting up care, and was able to connect with someone. Set up the appointment needed for my youngest. They knew what type of appointment it was because they quoted me the price for it, and it was not a cleaning. Forty minutes before the appointment, when I have spent days prepping my autistic kid for the break in routine, I get a call asking why I'm coming in and saying the treatment is no longer needed. It was implied that I had made a regular cleaning appointment, which I 1) did not do, and 2) those are covered by our insurance and would not have cost anything. I was frustrated that my child missed out on this treatment due to the office's lack of communication with me, and I shared as much. Not a single apology. I was told they could see that they had returned "a call" and had not been able to leave me a voicemail. I called multiple times, have never had problems with voicemail not working, and had also emailed asking to set up services, which were not replied to. I cannot recommend this office for dental care. I feel awful that I let it go this long; I should have moved on after a few weeks of nonresponse instead of waiting a few months. I just thought we could get back on track with them. I don't believe they want our business and we will move on.

I have been taking my kids to ETC for 10 years. Loved them when Dr. Perry was there. They were…read moregreat with my anxious children and ran the business beautifully. We had a long break after Covid and when I went back in August 2022, we found that Dr. Perry had left. Both kids needed some fillings, and they required that I pay $1500 in advance. In December 2022, I called to find out if they received the insurance payments and when I would receive the refund. They said that they had a balance of $500 that they would send in 6-8 weeks. I called again in January, again in February and in March. And it is now May and they are still holding my money. In addition, to the issue with the money, they did a very poor job with my daughter's fillings. She went 3 different times and still has pain in one of her teeth, presumably because her bite is off. It was very hard to get the dentist to talk to me. She never introduced herself to me, so I had to find out on my own that the person I spoke to was the dentist. Also they wanted me to sign a blank form approving any and all services, as opposed to just the fillings, and it was a whole ordeal to get them to allow me to cross out the things that I was not approving. 6/1/23 Edited to add: The response from Ashley is a lie. No one has reached out to me. I still have not received a statement from ETC detailing how the money was applied, nor I have received the reimbursement that I am owed. The issue is most assuredly NOT resolved. 6/1/23 Edited to add: I had to reach out to Ashley myself to get this cleared up. I discovered that they did reimburse the money. But contrary to Ashley's claim, no one ever spoke to me to tell me that it would be put on my credit card, and ETC never sent a statement either by e-mail or by mail. So it is good that the money was reimbursed, but it took them over six months to do it, and only did so after several communications from me. Unfortunately, it is not enough to change the rating.

Dr. Douleh explained the steps he was going to perform which helped me to be at ease with him as my new Dentist. As a registered professional nurse and Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD), Dr. Douleh understands the importance of establishing and building trusting relationships with his clients. Dr. Douleh is professional, a good listener, an expert at his craft and is confident in his abilities. Ms. Patricia was the dental assistant who helped Dr. Douleh today with my services. Their professional interactions and his tone of voice when providing directions to the dental assistant validated the respect Dr. Douleh has for his team and the clients he is privileged to care for. He always strapped me down to a papoose board and drugged me with nitrous, which he dubbed "the snoopy nose." Snoopy my ass. Once when I was very young I was screaming for them to let me go to the bathroom. Neither the dentist nor his assistants would take the restraints off. So I peed all over him because I couldn't hold it anymore and he got totally angry about it. This early experience (plus my mother who always used to freak us out about getting dental work done) helped lead me to a life of fearing the dentist. I now have to take anti-anxiety medications before I go in for a routine procedure like a filling.

I unfortunately bit him when he gave me a shot of novocaine in the roof of my mouth. The needle hit a nerve and I didn't mean to bite him. He responded by screaming at me and slapping me in the face three times. His assistants held me down as I cried. I'm a grown woman now, but it took years to get over my fear of the dentist. I would never take my own child to this office.
