They carry both artisan and commercial options and they also have a fun selection of novelty options like goofy flavored sodas and retro selections based on decade (definitely had a blast from the past looking at the 90's box filled with Bubble Tape and Crybabies). You may not spend a ton of time here but if you're in the mood for a lil' treat or want a special gift for someone with a sweet tooth it's worth popping in here for a moment.

A group of women came into the store after us and then we had like 8-10 people in the store, which seemed a little claustrophobic, so I stepped out to get my pint from Browndog next door, where I had dinner. Some of the best hot chocolates I've ever had are from chocolate shops (makes sense) so I had high hopes. The price was quite reasonable I think for a premium hot chocolate, $4.99 for a dark hot chocolate with Mayan spice (cinnamon, cayenne, etc.) added. There was an option to add whipped cream and marshmallows but I opted out. The cocoa was excellent - delightfully chocolatey and definitely spicy - it definitely had a kick. I would order again in a heartbeat - maybe it's a good thing for my body that I don't live that close to Plymouth. They also have a nice array of chocolates, very similar to classic chocolate shops. I bought a couple of dark chocolate covered cherries and dark chocolate honeycomb chips for my mother and she loved them and she can normally be very picky about these type of chocolates. She said they were very fresh and the cherry flavor of the chocolate covered cherries was excellent. These were probably her favorite chocolates she's had in the last ten years or so. Alpine Chocolate Haus was definitely a winner and we'll be back whenever we're in Plymouth.

Kitchen Creations is the Margie's of Farmington Hills! They're closed Sunday and Mondays, but it doesn't really pose a problem to me since most of my orders aren't due until Friday-Sunday anyways. Plus, since I know they're business hours I can plan accordingly. It really makes life that much easier. They have everything I need - boxes, boards, foil, icing color, sweetex, cookie cutters, candy molds...they have it all. The only thing they don't carry are the scalloped edge gold round cake boards that I would normally buy at Margie's. It saved on having to buy foil to cover a board when doing a birthday cake, but it's just a minor inconvenience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Huge selection for whatever your craft is! Do beware on the parking lot though. There's a dance studio next door that tends to fill up parking spots. Plus people tend to drive a little fast thru the adjoining parking lot & Firestone - just be a defensive driver when it's busy!

During busy times on Middlebelt it can be a little difficult if you are heading south but there is an entry further north in the shopping plaza that you can use that makes it better. The store is unique as there are 'robots' displayed around the room above the food displays. They are easy to miss if you don't look up! I believe the robots would sell very well also but they don't seem to be for sale. I have never seen anything like them anywhere else. This location is great for packaged and bulk candy but I am reluctant with the powdered items. The powdered items are separated in two groups but I don't know why they were split up. In any case the same situation applies to the cereals. They appear to be of good quality but the manner in which they are stored gives me question. The place is well lit and the staff is friendly. The floors could use a sweeping, mop and polish! Great place for savings and quality candy and some baking needs.
